The Tory membership has collapsed in the last 5 years, hardly surprising as their is precious little difference between the LibLabCon.

Maybe if the Tory party came out as a Eurosceptic party with a Eurosceptic leader they might stand a chance of getting back into power over the next 15 to 20 years.

I do not hold out much hope though, they seem intent on self destruction now being run by 5th columners such as Hague, Ken Clarke et al.

          nn says:

Tying yourself in knots there then. Until recently the state did not say who could and could not get married, that was left to the Church. And of course the Church sees marriage as the bedrock of the family and stable society. Then the state got involved with register office weddings and that worked well. Then other groups complained, (sisters, friends, homosexuals, etc) that their partnerships were not treated equally by the state mainly in matters financial, tax and rights, so the state introduced Civil partnerships and everyone was happy.

Then along came Dave and decided that Homosexual civil partnerships should have the same name and definition as the original Church definition of marriage, Which hardly anyone was asking for anyway.

So in a stroke Dave has ruined centuries of human relationship, society and family on a whim of his that a man and a man are the same as a man and wife, when they clearly are not.

Good news. It’s not for The State to regulate which heterosexuals can and can’t get married. If two consenting adults of opposite genders want to get married, eat a curry or kayak down the Thames, off they go.

Hopefully UKIP can adopt the same position too as I see some supporters on here calling for State approval and regulation for personal activities like marriage. Of course, gays are entitled to have a legal mechanism to assist them by societal and legal recognition of their personal commitment. That however, is not the same as a potentially procreative relationship such as marriage.

Marriage isn’t a personal or private matter, it’s a social institution upheld by the state, and one that the Left has tried to smash for over a century – read your Marx. The whole tactic has been to turn it into a private contractual relationship and side-line the rights of children so that the gays can have their ‘own’ kids. Why do Libertarians side with marxists?

How can the State Marry anyone anyway? says:

Exactly. The state should not be involved in “marriages”, that is the Church’s job, anything else is a civil partnership . The state holding a marriage ceremony is no different to the state holding Holy communion and it can’t.

The state’s involvement in a marriage should be limited to the legalities it decides to apply to legal partnerships.

It does not matter what party is in power. Without a legal system, that is fit for purpose, there is no point in laws.

Just had a flat refusal from a public body to do their statutory duty. It is a monopoly that knows it is a monopoly.

But since taking the last one to court was unfruitful. because the Judge had an interest in the public body. it seems pointless to try again.

Political parties are only there to play act at making laws, the Judges do not even care what they say. They do what is in their own interest. The civil servants gold plating EU law are creating our misery. Read other countries laws that derive from the same EU document and you will see how they over egg the situation every time.

If one trawls back through history, all of the legislation restricting or criminalising homosexuality in Britain was related to the protection of young men and boys. From The Buggery Act of 1533, designed to close down the homosexual brothels run by the Monasteries, as a “first salvo” of their dissolution, to the Labouchere Amendment that was spawned by the Cleveland Street Scandal. Nelson’s Navy, contrary to popular opinion, dealt harshly with sodomy and was particularly protective of the large number of boys who served at sea. The framers of the 1967 Sexual Offences Act were particularly conscious of the problem of pederasts when they put the lower age limit for homosexual acts as 21 years. One must question the motivation of those who have chipped away at that protection until 5th Formers and those legally too young to drive a car or buy cigarettes became legalised nonce fodder.

The Pakistanis all keep to themselves and employ each other, the Turks do the same, the Afro-Caribbeans are a bit better at socialising but as a ‘community’ are fairly disfunctional and ‘low-trust’ – they are usually only able to organise themselves through their black-only churches. [The ‘white’ churches either cater to the Poles or are church of England

The eastern Europeans tend to cluster together on their disperate national lines and will willingly pay double the prices in their ‘ethnic’ shops for goods that are also on sale in Sainsbury’s (which they rarely go in unless they are Romanians who everyone assumes are there on shop-lifting sprees.)

It is mainly only the white English people under 60 who do any real mixing accross these ethnic boundaries, but the sad truth is that younger people in all-white families have been leaving the district as fast as they can. Nearly all the white English (and Irish) people I know who remain are in mixed marriages.

When Nigel Farage talks about not hearing English heard in public on trains, he is dead right. The same goes for the buses and underground. I’m used to it and don’t really pay it much mind, but I fully understand why sometimes people flip and engage in disinhibited rants.

Yes,I really am an ignorant prick indeed.

Elderly and disabled passengers could lose vital bus services because of cuts in government funding, councils in England warn.

The Local Government Association (LGA) says support for the concessionary fares scheme has been reduced by over a third since 2010.

Under the scheme, councils have to provide free off-peak travel for those aged over 62 or disabled.

The government says it provides funding to meet subsidised travel costs.

Local authorities say the funding from central government for concessionary fares has been cut by £261m since the coalition came to power

A spokeswoman for the Department for Transport said: “We know that bus services are vital for many older and disabled people. That is why the right to free travel is enshrined in law, and government provides funding to meet the cost of subsidising off peak travel for these groups. However, the sooner this shower of shit, known as the Conservative led coalition is thrown out of office, the better.”

It’s the same thing on this side of the Irish Sea. You may feel this is a local, cultural problem, and of course, in terms of the solution, that is an aspect of the problem. However. I bet you will find Belgians, Spaniards, Italians and Greeks have similar feelings. Much of Europe has been turned into a shithole, due to the corrupting influence and unaccountability of the pan-European anti-democratic power structures.

It is time Britain threw out the title and honours system once and for all. It is an anachronism in the 21st century, a system rooted in the past which does not exist anywhere else in the world. In our so called democratic state Mr and Mrs are more than enough for the second house which also needs a cull. The House of Lords provides almost 30% of Europe’s senators. Totally unjustified for what they do.

The local government has stated it rejects the government in K’iev.

    h**p://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/feb/27/crimean-parliament-seized-by-unknown-pro-russian-gunmen

The validity of the decree signed by the interim government is questionable, and is designed to provoke war.

    http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/world/story/ukraine-declares-crimea-premiers-appointment-illegal-20140301

R-Fed has been invited in by Crimea PM before decree was signed, so officially R-Fed troop presence in Crimea is fine under intl law.

R-Fed can now justify any action by stating it is protecting the right of Crimea to be autonomous region. Should not contravene Budapest Memorandum.

Dangerous move on part of U govt, but demonstrates some of the real dynamic in the country that the W-MSM have not reported on.

Problem U-govt: They do not have full military support, or strong military.

With paramilitary forces they can fight guerilla war, which may yet happen, depending on support for govt.
