Another Labour Woman Stands Down Female Casualty Rate Since 2010 Now 12.3% mdi-fullscreen

Last week Guido reported that the Labour female casualty rate was actually higher than the Tories, well they have extended that lead today. Sian James, Labour’s MP for Swansea East, is standing down in 2015 becauseĀ “it is time for me to pursue other opportunities”. That now puts the Labour female casualty rate since 2010 at 12.3%. Given that James entered parliament in 2005 and has done nothing of note in her political career, Labour can hardly trot out their usual line that she is standing down after a long and distinguished career serving the public. Still, having MP on her CV stands her in good stead to go and coin it in the private sector…
