Yeo Voted Against Key Gay Rights Legislation

Tim Yeo has been telling anyone who will listen that South Suffolk Tories kicked him out because of his support for gay marriage. As Guido pointed out this morning, this is laughable. Pink News are pointing out that not only was Yeo absent for no less than thirteen crucial votes on gay rights throughout his career, he actually voted against an equal age of consent for homosexuals. But why break the habit of the lifetime and tell the truth…

I was wondering, have you ever seen him? I’ve haven’t lived in South Suffolk as long as you, but I’ve not seen him once. And there are plenty of annual events he could attend.

I wrote to him, twice, and (eventually) got a copy-and-paste response that didn’t actually address the concerns I’d raised.

He’s certainly engaging in the sort of pseudo-logic and non sequitur that the extreme gay rights lobby do.

What does the age of consent have to do with radically redefining the word marriage to include two men? Allowing 45year old men to legally sodomise school boys is hardly the triumph we’re relentless told it is.

Being absent for many gay rights votes is actually a good thing, the only thing better might have been to turn up and vote against in order to support freedom of speech, conscience and property rights. Tolerance, respect, equality before the law – fine. But they always want more – witness the two men who found a b&b run by people who didn’t wish to rent them a double room but offered to help them find a suitable place to stay? Result? A court case, forcing people to allow practices they disagree with to happen on their property. This is incompatible with a free society based on property rights. This is why the cultural marxists have taken up the gay rights cause with such gusto.

Right, so it’s moral for 45 year old men to have sex with schoolgirls – but not 45 year old men to have sex with schoolboys?

          Where’s the logic in that?

Have the age of consent at 16 or 18. Personally I’d choose 18. But it’s just stupid to make it different for males and females. There is absolutely no rational reason behind that.

And if you’re running a business in the UK, you need to abide by the law. That means you can’t discriminate against people. You can’t run a hotel and say “no black people”, for instance. If they don’t like the law of the land, then they shouldn’t set up a business.

The loon Christian couple can disagree with homosexuality all they want (they can also disagree with people having brown hair, if they like). But they can’t break the law when it comes to running a business. That’s the difference.

Don’t make it into this “cultural Marxism” bullshit. Where did that phrase even come from? Fox News?

These so called NGOs have actively been used to stir up trouble in Moscow and Kiev. Look at who are behind the scenes re Pussy Riot etc. They use womens/gay rights to subvert statist nation states.

Ultimately look at who fund these NGOs. You’ll find that they are very kosher indeed.
