No doubting which voters UKIP’s campaign in Wythenshawe and Sale East is targeting:

Revealed: Ed Miliband’s Bollinger bolsheviks

Because UKIP’s tech tycoon candidate John Bickley is definitely not a millionaire…

Meanwhile, this UKIP poster being driven around promises to “protect your benefits”.

Going after Labour votes in the North is the only thing that makes sense from UKIP’s perspective, but trying to be all things to all people will have many of their voters down south thinking again…

‘…..being all things to all people’. That’s our modus operandi.

  6. 6
    Major Eyeswater says:

Like all good propaganda, there’s some truth in their schtick – UKIP policies will do more for working class people than any other party.

  7. 7
    C.O.Jones says:

That was disgraceful. For the speakers wife to behave this way!

  8. 8
    Little Johnny B13COW says:

…and don’t Silly Sally on the way.

  9. 9
    Andrew Efiong says:

    “Protect your benefits”

Aha, looks to me like UKIP are pandering the entitlement culture! Also isn’t Farage is a former City broker? He can hardly lecture on wealth!

  10. 10
    Jack Ketch says:

The cry used to be “If you’re so clever, why aren’t you rich?”. For Labour’s kleptocracy, it should be “How did a bunch of thick c’unts like you work out all those scams?”

    Don’t mention it’s dr1ver-less tho.

  16. 16
UKIP does what it says on the tin says:

It looks like a two horse race between labour and UKIP, of course the postal vote fraud will play a big factor and may well save labour like it saved the libdems.

I predict UKIP will get the most real votes on the day and labour will swing the result using the postal vote fraud, and with the electoral commission on the side of the fraudsters we are seeing the future of democracy in the UK.

  17. 17
    Mitch says:

“Going after Labour votes in the North is the only thing that makes sense..” is a little simplistic.

We have Waitrose and Champagne up here too, you know.

  18. 18
    Jazz Porridge says:

    The mask slips.

UKIP pledge to “protect benefits”, they want to wheel out the scrounger vote and harness the Client State.

  19. 19
    C.O.Jones says:

And we have lots of champagne socialists down south too.

  20. 20
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

As if the Liblabcons were not trying to be all things to all people.

Do you trust the Liblabcons on immigration, Europe, British jobs for British workers? Do you trust the Liblabcon southern toffs? If so you are barking.

  21. 21
    bergen says:

    The second front opens.

  22. 22
    Maqboul says:

They seem to do well out of property investment. We could all do that if we had access to the sort of cheap loans as Mandlescum had. I’d be interested to know how many had mortgages with the Co-Op and on what sort of terms.

  23. 23
    Steve Miliband says:

    ”Protect your Benefits”

Another party with a magic money tree

  24. 24
    Moley says:

“Going after Labour votes in the North is the only thing that makes sense from UKIP’s perspective, but trying to be all things to all people will have many of their voters down south thinking again…”

It is not UKIP policy to stop all benefits.

It is UKIP policy to ensure that benefits only go to those who need them, and not to the work shy and out of work immigrants the minute they set foot on British soil.

This UKIP member is not “Thinking again”, he sees no grounds to object to the campaign message being used in the north of England.

Once again the media narrative regarding UKIP and its supporters departs from the shores of reality and arrives in a fantasy land constructed by the other political parties.

  25. 25
    Centre Parting says:

Lord Smith – leading from behind.

  26. 26
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

The best way to protect benefits is to have fewer in need of them. The Liblabcons all favour the EU and so uncontrolled immigration, which gives our young no chance in the jobs market and many become dependent on benefits. That plus our dire education system which does not educate or give them job skills that many much poorer countries do manage to provide.

  27. 27
    Wee Willy says:

    That’s my problem.

  28. 28
    Jack Ketch says:

Not all benefits go to scroungers. Any one with a sprog is leaching off of the tax payments of those who remain childless.

  29. 29
    UKIP = Benefits Treat says:

It says “protect benefits”, not “restrict” or “reform”.

You can spin it any way you like but the message is clear, in Size 450 font and driving around a council estate today.

  30. 30
    Hoddy says:

To be fair I am more interested in Sally the Alley taking a ride on the sole pole !

  31. 31
    Sunny Jim says:

That strategy has worked well for the LimpDims for years…

  32. 32
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

I hope you lose your job.

  33. 33
    Willo79 says:

Assem Allam isn’t even a politician!!!

  34. 34
    Long John Silver's parrot says:

I would rather employ a millionaire to negotiate for me than a no hoper from a Council house.

  35. 35
    Centre Parting says:

    What about Gordon Brown?

  36. 36
    A voter in Wythenshawe says:

Can I see the full CVs of all the candidates for inspection please ?

  37. 37
    Another voter in Wythenshawe says:

What are the respective positions of all the candidates on tracking ?

  38. 38
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

Yes to protect benefits for those genuinely in need of them. A benefits system that is the size it is because of failing Liblabcon governments.

  39. 39
    Maggie Thatcher says:

You wouldn’t catch me giving away council houses to cadge working class votes to bolster my support in an “all things to all people” attempt at triangulating the previous left vs right failed political dichotomy.

    Oh no…….

  40. 40
    Nigel Farage of UKIP says:

When I am Prime Minister we will make extra marital sex illegal.

  41. 41
    Grrr says:

100000 more than the bunch of BBC/Marxist Labourites ready to drag us back to the 1970’s

  42. 42
    C.O.Jones says:

He is yesterdays man. He went boom, we went bust.

  43. 43
    Prime Minister David Cameron says:

I will put this to the electorate.

Will you back us Fracking in the Lake District and New Forest?

  44. 44
    Tony Blair says:

Well they didn’t call it triangulation back in your day did they Maggs? They didn’t do that until Clinton came along.

Of course I employed the opposite strategy, gving tumps of cash to the poor whilst appealing to those on the right with a crack down on crime and a relaxed attitude to those getting rich.

I suppose one day people will realise the only way to get a massive majority in an election is to be all things to as many people as possible, rather than focus on the tiny minority of peculiar apolitical people in the middle ground.

  45. 45
He'll be a laughing stock at PMQs tomorrow says:

Sally went clubbing in a wig – therefore, didn’t want to be recognised. Why would she not want to be recognised?

Because she went clubbing to have a snog with other clubbers.

And now she’s trying to paint it as being “out of context”. Of course! I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation why a married woman would have her tongue down another man’s throat.

John is one pathetic, emasculated cuckold!

  46. 46
    An awkward bastard says:

Move your white van and arse down the road to Hale Barns please Mr Buckley.

Tories have done nothing for Wythenshawe and you know it.

  47. 47
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

Iain Duncan Smith is ready to drop a “bombshell” with plans to “mug” pensioners of the winter fuel allowance, their free bus passes and TV licences for the over 75s.

  48. 48

Seems UKIP are trying the LibDem strategy of trying to out-Labour Labour in the North and out-Tory the Conservatives in the South.

It’s a recipe for disaster to pretend to be all things to all men for the sake of a vote.

Looks like the Conservatives are the ONLY party pledging to cut the welfare budget.

  49. 49
    Sue says:

It is difficult for Cameron’s Europhile Social Democrats to actually attack Labour on wealth for obvious reasons.

Good move by UKIP – they show again that they are the only party speaking for the working class British.

And why is Hodge given such an easy time on the BBC…..oh, right….

  50. 50
Someone from somewhere in Tuscany says:

There is a very nice little community theatre though in the civic centre .

  51. 51
Geedo and his Tory Master's Voice says:

    Absolute Rubbish from you Guido.

Benefits will be protected if they are not watered down hosing them all across Europe.

UKIP have never pretended not to include millionaires, unlike Labour.

The People who live in the South are more than intelligent enough to understand this, unlike some of you in the Westminster Bubble.

  52. 52
    Sally Bercow says:

    I just Lurv Diggers Nick.

  53. 53
    Phil from Pentonville says:

Don’t leave your car in the Civic Centre car park if you value your wheels Princess.

A mate of mine down the corridor tells me that car crime has actually increased 48 % in Wythenshawe during the lifetime of this Government.

  54. 54
    FFS says:

Sending home a lot of the immigrants from Eastern Europe would in itself reduce the size of the government budget.

At the moment each one is getting £20,000 benefits in kind (health, education, pension provision etc) plus can claim up to £10,000 in tax credits for a family of four and a further £10,000 in housing benefit.

Dealing with the inverted wage pyramid introduced by Labour can wait.

  55. 55
    Troughers for Life Association says:

Only one item on the agenda this morning : how to divert taxpayers money to Tim Yeo post-2015. Dave’s promised a place in the House of Lords but that’s only 300 a day. We need a nice little quango or charity. Nothing too onerous – we’ve got to leave space for Tim’s other interests. Say 3 days a week and 150k per year. Put the feelers out.

  56. 56
    Centre Parting says:

No need for TV Licences would be a vote winner.

  57. 57
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

Most benefits now are paid to people who actually work and have children.

  58. 58
    C.O.Jones says:

UKIP are on a roll and there is nothing you can do about it!

Face facts, most people are disillusioned with the 13 years of Labour and the present coalition govt. We have had bullshit and spin from both.

  59. 59
    Bilda Berger says:

    Morning, Nigel!

  60. 60
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

Quite right. Since when was UKIP the anti-child or anti-pensioner party?

  61. 61
A monkey in a red rosette says:

    That is terribly dreadful news.

There is though an excellent high cost bus service linking Wythenshawe to Manchester Airport and Manchester City Centre with its Metrolink and value for money High Speed Trains from Piccadilly.

Wythenshawe is really the domicile of choice for many.

  62. 62
    Winston says:

Spot on Moley. Guido’s looking a bit desperate with this attempt at muck-raking. I’m about to lose £2k of child benefit, whilst thousands of EU migrants are getting child benefit sent home and they have contributed SFA to the system, unlike generations of my family.

Never again will I vote Conservative. It’s UKIP all the way now, for this working-class “southerner”.

  63. 63
    Bilda Berger says:

How many houses has Meacher got now?

  64. 64
    Satire is dead says:

Ironic that UKIP, of all parties, would let a foreign criminal join their ranks and represent them in the media. And not just any foreign criminal but the leader of a kidnapping gang who did prison time here and a judge recommended he be deported, but he claimed political asylum. And UKIP welcomed him!

Farage, you’re doing a top notch job!

  65. 65
    Sally Bercow says:

    It WAS out of context!

I wasn’t being being the real Mrs Sally Bercow

I was playing fantasy “Miss Milfslut” and anything that happened was just part of that fantasy and nothing to do with the real me.

Anyway, morality is for little people with no money that have to work for a living and can’t afford the consequences of divorce.

  66. 66
    Moley says:

I think you will find that IDS’s reforms have widespread support among UKIP members.

In order to protect benefits for those who need them, they cannot be paid to everybody; there have to be some restrictions.

When Labour were in power they did not pay benefits to everybody who wanted them, regardless of means or needs, there were restrictions. Has that policy now changed?

  67. 67
    Prime Minister David Cameron says:

Lets be clear the EU is the greatest and most successful country over the last 50 years and we should celebrate that.

  68. 68
    Long John Silver's parrot says:

I think we should all congratulate Guido on being able to spell Wythenshawe correctly.

After yesterday’s revelation that he has actually heard of the Somerset Levels we should all be elated.

  69. 69
    Casual Observer 6 says:

From what I have seen of their policies, that working class benefit will not be at the explicit expense of others either. So there should be no problem.

Cutting size of government to continue and improve welfare funding whilst reforming tax to lower costs to employers, and at the same time offering a real choice on the Europe question is all round good.

The only people who don’t fare well are the parasite class – and they are shouting loudly now, but the public know who they are now.

  70. 70
    Bilda Berger says:

Why do you assume he has a “job”? Jobs are for cretins — no one ever got anywhere by selling his labour.

  73. 73
    Long John Silver's parrot says:

Can I have a pint of Guinness then ?

  74. 74
    Jacqueline Dromey says:

    You too ?.

  75. 75
    Gay Dave says:

    Yep. Thanks Dambuster.

I’ve been in “power” now for nearly 4 years, and I,m still running a Deficit of £250 MILLION PER DAY.

Of course it’s all Gorgon and Bollux fault, their legacy and all that.

  76. 76

Hardly surprising tho’ re. #cashnametapes. As a mum, I can’t be arsed to sew – indelible markers the way to go :) (or iron-on if I must)

  77. 77
    Please clarify says:

Is that “extra marital” or “extramarital”? :-)

  78. 78
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

Yes and that means less money for pensioners who have worked hard and paid taxes all their lives. Bastard Tories.

  79. 79
    Bent liblabcon says:

You’d think the Tories would be up in arms about the now routine postal voting fraud we see.

But no. They’re quite happy to turn a blind eye to it all.

If that aint a big clue they’re all working together, nothing is.

  80. 80
    Somerset Farmer says:

I’ll remember that when I’m putting food on your table

  81. 81
The Mother fucker of all Parliaments says:

Respected and Envied across the world.

The wife of the most senior Parliamentarian turns Parliament into a joke by cruising across London picking up Black men for a Good time.

The second most senior Parliamentarian is set to appear on trial accused of serial r@pe.

The chairman of a main political party is found guilty of sexually molesting his staff.

Most Members of the parliament are exposed fiddling their expenses, some have to give the money back, some have to resign, overs are imprisoned.

The chairman of a Parliament select committee is secretly filmed accepting cash to influence that committee.

So rotten is this Parliament that they have handed over sovereignty for their country to a foreign power based in the Continent of Europe.

So sexually depraved is this parliament, that they have redefined marriage to include a man and a man.

Little wonder it has not stopped raining over the land for nearly forty days now.

  82. 82
A man on the Rue Du Cirque says:

What is it with little men?

  83. 83
    Di Rear says:

No it wont have me down south thinking again. I’ll be voting UKIP.

  84. 84
    Casual Observer 6 says:

Maybe they were just reflecting what goes on in chez Dromey ?

  85. 85
    Reggie Reader says:

Nothing wrong with highlighting the hypocrisy of lefties.

  86. 86
    Mr Potato Head2 says:

These thick southern Tory twats are maybe just realising what has been known by northerners for many years, UKIP are not a mark 2 Tory party and never have been. They have already taken lots of votes from Labour but these southern clowns are too south-obsessed to notice it.

  87. 87
    M103 says:

Well it’s a step up from the Racist Vans…

  88. 88
    Sue says:

Still voting UKIP – no matter if the left & the right untie to smear the party in the press from now until election day.

  89. 89
    David Cameron says:

Sod that, the guy’s on drugs y’know ?

  90. 90
    lojolondon says:

Guido doesn’t understand. UKIP are NOT a Conservative protest party. They are a party for normal, working class people who want to have control over our own country. I have been saying for ages that the Biased BBC have made a massive mistake giving UKIP publicity because they thought they took away the Tory base – Labour is going to lose just as many voters as the Tories are to UKIP. Cast-Iron Dave has lost his chance to work with UKIP, they will not work with Tories and alienate all their Labour voters.
I am a massive fan of this blog, but, Guido, you should get out of the Westminster bubble to understand this.

  91. 91
    Persona non grata says:

Don’t mention he was a Tory prior to joining UKIP, and may be one now. Rank hypocrisy it’s in our nature.

  92. 92
An indignant little man in a crash helmet says:

    I have to agree.

The sexual morality of this Parliament leaves a lot to be desired.

Not only is UK PLC being brought into disrepute but also the EU into which it is a net contributor.

I however defend to the very last the right of anyone in public life to claim that they have a right to a separate private life irrespective of how stupidly they behave because that cannot possibly impact upon their functions in public life.

  95. 95
    Bent liblabcon says:

Perhaps if the liblabcon hadn’t imported several million people into the country against the native population’s wishes, there wouldn’t be so many claiming benefits?

The leftwing/rightwing pushers of mass immigrants have only themselves to blame for the inevitable consequences of their policies.

Is somebody running scared? Or has today been declared anti-UKIP day?

    From the Telegraph;

“Ukip is a threat to peace in Europe, says Germany”

It is not UKIP who bear the responsibility for stoking the flames of hatred between Greece and “Germany, it is the EU.

It is not UKIP who are responsible for the rise of “Golden Dawn” in Greece, it is the EU.

It is not UKIP who are responsible for youth unemployment of over 50% in Greece, Spain and Portugal, it is the EU.

The EU is the problem, not the solution, and UKIP (and its European allies) is the solution, not the problem.

What we should expect of our media is intelligent investigative reporting; not the brainless repetition of blatant EU propaganda at every opportunity.

75% of MPs have assets exceeding 1,000,000 says:

TBF Farrage has troughed with the best of them at the EU table. 2 million and counting.

I don’t really care if someone has made a wedge doing something decent, probably shows a bit of nous. Casino banking is not decent. What really ticks me off is when someone becomes a multi millionaire from simply being an MP, or MEP.

Scum like Blair, had one bog standard house when he became PM, worth about 300 grand.

Now he’s got 9 houses, most of them outrageously expensive, estates even, and he ‘earned’ 40 million quid in the last 5 years, mostly from the oil companies and banks he went to war for. Utter, utter scum. Nothing will change for the better until he is hanged for treason, until the people realise the gravity of his crimes against the nation.

    Stop wasting everyone’s time.
There’s only one subject to focus on: the outrageous lack of wimmin in politics, and corporate UK.
We need to pass a law making it a criminal offence to not offer all jobs to wimmin first. Every office needs to have at least 50% wimmin, at least half of all cabinet posts should be wimmin, and the staff within should be 50% wimmin. Never mind whether they turn out to be copletely useless inexperienced twits.

And stop distracting us with petty issues about immigration, taxation, education, the economy, foreign wars, or whether we’re millionaires or not!

  148. 148
To become a politician venality is a pre-requisite says:

The human heart is desperately wicked, and full of deceit, according to The Bible.

I think that, no matter Farage’s intentions, and I’m not convinced there good anyway, if he gets any form of power it will corrupt him. As his party grows it becomes less governable, more rabble are admitted to its ranks.

The systems of government are useless in this country, that’s the problem, not particularly the parties themselves, but the party system. The consequences of failure are none existent – look at brown.

If UKIP become successful, they will adopt all sorts of nonsense as party policy, partly for fear of the PC brigade, partly because they are vote-whores and partly because of the inherent weaknesses in human character to withstand temptation to stuff your pockets while you’ve got chance.

  149. 149
    Moley says:

    Here is another one, now from the BBC;

One undesirable person no more defines UKIP than Savile defines the BBC.

UKIP does what it says on the tin says:

How do we know there is a by election coming up?

The stooge media is up to its usual tricks of smearing UKIP in a coordinated concentrated offensive. The only problem is that the more the establishment and its running dog lackeys try to smear UKIP the more votes they get, the more attacks on there are in UKIP the more support UKIP attracts. The old tricks that worked so well for the establishment in the past to retain the monopoly on power has now obviously failed and the establishment are just too thick to realise it.

“Clearly Bashir does not have any real political principles or commitment, only naked opportunism and self-interest. He represents the revolving door principle in politics. The Tories are welcome to him because he will cause them embarrassment. Fortunately Respect was able to act before he did it to us.”
