Another Tim Yeo Lobbying Scandal

Scrapbook have got hold of a letter sent on behalf of Tim Yeo to all members of South Suffolk Conservative Association, begging them not to deselect the poor hard done by lamb:

Not only do the rules state that campaigning is not allowed, how did Sir Kenneth Carlile get hold of the addresses of all the members? Guido has a surprise for troubled Tim later…

Clarke, Carlisle, what’s in a name? They both begin with C so must be interchangeable.

I expect this chap thinks it’s important: “Clarke James Carlisle (born 14 October 1979) is an English former footballer who played as a defender and was chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association.”

      Vote UKIP.

Carlisle is an idiot to involve Wyken in this. His wife has built that name in to a much-loved brand which the Country Life set adore and support with their custom. These are the same people, like the good folk of Clare, who loathe Tim’s windmills.

He should at least have had enough sense to use un-headed paper and write in his personal capacity rather than putting the business in conflict with his own customers.

But what has it to do with Kenneth Clarke?

RULES , RULES they are only for little people to comply with,
just like paying Income Tax, which applies to everyone else
    except us…..

Now when are we going to get our over due 15% increase
salary ? Which is much more important than this piddling
    little matter of stupid rules…..

If this individual is re-selected then is this a formal statement by the Tory party on MP’s ethics?

If I were Yeo’s Association Chairman, I would be screaming blue murder about the release of membership data, both to Yeo and CCHQ and the Party Chairman.

Unless of course the Chairman is pro-Yeo?

As a Tory party constituency officer I know how the re-selection process works. The ‘clique’ of 30 people the letter refers to will be the Executive Committee who refused to rubber stamp his re-selection. Executive Committees have representatives from each branch, association officers (elected by the full membership) and councillors. They are the people who do all the work and are in contact with the electorate. They run functions to raise money, write and deliver leaflets, recruit and maintain members and knock on doors and speak to the general public. If these people are unhappy with him he is in trouble. Under the rules the MP can send out one letter to all members through the association. Quite clearly the Data Protection act has been breached in this case.

Sarah Vine writes of Esther McVey…

“McVey told Grazia that she hasn’t married or had children because she ‘never found anyone to wind her biological clock’ … If I remember rightly, half the current Cabinet would have cheerfully ‘wound her clock’ if she’d given them a glimmer of a chance.”

Flight Watch says:

Russia Today is a cauldron of bullsh*t. The only people that take it seriously are deluded conspiracy theorists. Other RT journos have resigned citing the same reasons.

It’s about as believable as Press TV, KCNA of North Korea or the Daily Mirror.
