Home Office Refuse to Deny Hogan Howe Tendered Resignation mdi-fullscreen

Guido put it to the Home Office yesterday that Bernard Hogan Howe offered to resign over a coming scandal, and asked them to confirm whether or not Theresa May had rejected his resignation. Their official response:

Why not just deny it? ‘Ello, ‘ello, ‘ello, what’s going on here then?

UPDATE: A new line from the Home Office:

“He did not offer Theresa his resignation and he would have no reason to do so.”

UPDATE II: Exaro News has followed up the story, also reporting that Hogan Howe tendered his resignation and revealing the Home Office’s confusion this afternoon.
