Quote of the Day

The unpublished independent report into Mike Hancock…

“I consider that the prima facie evidence of his unwelcome sexual approaches remains unquestionably a very serious matter in the light of the position which he holds and his knowledge from the beginning of the vulnerability of [the alleged victim]… No one in public life should allow themselves to act in such an irresponsible and damaging way.”

Wow! I’m glad the £50 billion HS2, doubling the debt, unlimited housebuilding and flooding the country with Roma can’t be considered irresponsible or damaging!

I was waiting for seasonal news of this white-bearded figure well-known for wanting people to sit on his knee….now, despite the efforts of some local conspiracy of lodgebrothers, this loathesome fellow could finally end up giving others “a chance” in the showers of one of Her Majesty’s establishments.

I reckon he’s a Russian spy as well, given his extensive history of questions on sensitive defence matters…maybe another story….

Down here he is renowned as a complete and utter sleazy leach near whom no woman is safe.

And that’s from the ones that like him.

yes indeed …. and forgive my naivete’ but why is it permissible for a person to be elected as both a councillor AND an mp ??

To which office does one attach the greater zeal …
the constituency or the ward ??

Does it depend on which offers the most ” emoluments ” ??

Rod Liddle on the loony UN sexism special rapporteur:

“There is more sexism in Britain than in any other country in the world, according to a mad woman who has been sent here by the United Nations.

Rashida Manjoo is a part-time professor of law at Cape Town University in the totally non-sexist country of South Africa (otherwise known as Rape Capital Of The World).

Mrs Magoo has been wandering around with her notebook and is appalled by the sexist “boys’ club” culture here, apparently.

I don’t doubt we still have sexism in the UK. But is it worse than in, say, Saudi Arabia, d’you think, honey-lamb? Or about 175 other countries? Get a grip, you doolally old bat.”
