MacShame: Stay of Execution

The judge sentencing MacShane has delayed until Monday as he wants time to reflect after defence spent an hour begging for him not to be sent down. Reasons for leniency included being a trade unionist and definitely not a crook. No siree!

        All socialists are hypocrites says:

In the 1980′s a friend of mine was employed in a bank and also a member of BIFU(subsequently taken over by UNITE) got in to financial difficulties so he created two fictitious loan for £12,000 in total which was subsequently discovered by bank’s auditors and he was sentenced to 3 years having pleaded guilty(and subsequently served 18 months in open prison). The reason for the harshness of his sentence was the judge said…”Because he occupied a position of trust and a message needed to be sent”….Of course things are a lot laxer now BUT the principle is the same and he was a trade union member although is suppose some would say that he was a crook but he never put forward special pleading to avoid sentence….so I have absolutely NO sympathy for MacShane

          Sir Roger de Senseless says:

I don’t have any sympathy for McShane either, but 18 months for stealing twelve grand is harsh? No wonder we’ve got a crime wave.

Your friend was not high enough up the chain there comes a time when they get away with Billions as per the last 15 or more years, virtually nobody has been sent down, there was that black fella a couple or so years ago but he was just a trader, oh and there was that guy in Singapore or Hong Kong nearly 20 years ago, another trader. McShane should be asked to repay what he missed claimed as do all the others that Guido has not mentioned, he does not attack them quite so severely.

The EU is outraged by this, as you can imagine.

    I second their outrage.

I think the only solution IS FOR THE EU TO EXPEL US FROM THE ORGANISATION!

Yes, it’s very annoying if someone spies on someone else. What if everyone did that sort of thing? There would be no secrets at all. No-one would be baffled about where all the money keeps going missing to from the EU budget. If everyone knew where the money had gone where would we all be, eh?

No, please, give us one more chance, and to prove we are all worthy of being in such an exalted club we will not drive our vile cars or go on aeroplanes or use our horrible fossil fuel power plants which definitely change the climate then if even one person does . . . so be it expel us we deserve it.

      Casual Observer 5 says:

That could explain why the UK economy has been so shit.

Real EU business is done through brown envelopes, honey traps with underaged children and sitting about doing nothing in a café.

In fact – it is mainly sitting about doing nothing in a café until the caffeine kicks in and some guy turns up with a brown envelope for a special session.

If they have been spying on the rest they have been playing a mugs game.

These are all good reasons not to deal with the EU – unless you are into brown envelopes, kids and sitting about in café’s.

To be fair to him, on this issue he is right. These machines should be banned. The current arrangements: set up in the 2005 Gambling Act by that dreadful Tessa Jowell woman, have led to an explosion of betting shops in our High Streets.

So, Greville Janner is “assisting police with their inquiries into historic sex abuse allegations”. What’s the bet fuck all will happen? Blair didn’t put a D notice on Operation Ore for nothing. • 304
      Casual Observer 5 says:

Operation Ore was a complete farce.

Those who got prosecuted as part of it – in most cases – should have very good grounds for compensation as a result of faulty prosecutions.

    Burn Labour Burn says:

More scandals of police ignoring British girls who went to them for help and were turned away. Why? Because the police are now absolutely terrified of arresting anyone from certain communities for fear of being branded racist by useful idiots like Toynbee. The murder of Stephen Lawrence was tragic but the effect of all the inquiries and reports into it has been to neuter the police. These poor girls were abused and passed around for sex and both the police and social workers did nothing. I expect social services to be useless anyway, as they’re stuffed with thick lefties who leave children with violent parents, but the police are a disgrace too.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the British left don’t give a toss about these girls. Their plight doesn’t fit their narrative of a rosy multi-culti heaven on earth, mainly because the snot nosed champagne socialist set only live in affluent upscale areas. Toynbee and co wouldn’t be seen dead in Rochdale. Far too ethnic for them. It’s not a coincidence that she lives comfortably in an upper class British area with no burka or grooming gang in sight. Not that it stops her talking about the joys of multi-culti expansion and a million Romanians and Bulgarians soon to hit our shores to help boost our crime rates and deplete NHS resources.

The police themselves were complicit in this abuse , that is why they were part of the cover up.

Of course they are. Just as they refused to investigate Ian Watkins despite his former girlfriend reporting him on numerous occassions.

Not to put a too finer point on it – he was utterly sneaky and I hope he goes to jail for a long time. He won’t of course – he’ll get a slap on the wrist sentence, which would be a great shame.

A confused Nick Griffin says Nigel Farage is a shill for the City, forgetting that City banks want to stay in the EU:

“Farage is a snake oil salesman, but a very good one. His supposed anti-immigration stance is all smoke and mirrors, as is his carefully cultivated image as a ‘man of the people’. The truth is that UKIP is a pro-immigration party that exists to lobby for the interests of the City of London.”
