Bashir Resigns After S**t in Her Mouth Palin Rant

martin bashir

“After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the President of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation. It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments.

I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences. I would also wish to express deepest gratitude to my immediate colleagues, and our contributors, all of whom have given so much of themselves to our broadcast.”

He’ll be one of those tiresome “men” who think it is cool to act like a misogynistic thug to women who hold political views that he doesn’t agree with. Yet will rant and foam at the mouth should anyone else even offer as mild, non-sexist critique of one of his left wing sistas.

(BTW, the context, for anyone who does not know it, was that Bashir took umbrage at La Palin for having had the temerity to liken intergenerational debt to a form of indentured servitude being imposed on one’s descendants. His “No, b*tch, that ain’t slavery– this HERE’s slavery!” rant added nothing to the subject in any event.)

Palin does come across as a bit thick and rather inarticulate, but in fact, what she was saying (though with her customary inelegance) was more or less correct. But she wasn’t talking about slavery directly, she was talking about debt. I’ve no idea what Bashir was on about. As far as I can tell, he just saw it as another chance to embellish his credentials with the gullible by twisting the situation to allow him to say a few strident things which he imagined and hoped would be well received. They weren’t and he came unstuck; good!

The irony of this is that it is quite rare for anyone other than lefties to invoke the idea of slavery. It is usually some pr1ck on the left that chooses to mention the subject, usually in the context of demanding a hike in the minimum wage or of protesting against the very idea that the taxpayer might require welfare recipients to work in order to receive handouts.

Oddly enough, such ludicrous references to slavery have not previously prompted Bashir or any of his fellow cretins to resort to the gutter.
