Bashir Resigns After S**t in Her Mouth Palin Rant

martin bashir

“After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the President of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation. It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments.

I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences. I would also wish to express deepest gratitude to my immediate colleagues, and our contributors, all of whom have given so much of themselves to our broadcast.”

Don’t mention the moslem slavers in India.

Yes, but Martin Bashir is not a better man. He would not have said it, otherwise.

He’ll be one of those tiresome “men” who think it is cool to act like a misogynistic thug to women who hold political views that he doesn’t agree with. Yet will rant and foam at the mouth should anyone else even offer as mild, non-sexist critique of one of his left wing sistas.

Bashir doing some massive racism against Palin there. The very idea that, as a white woman, she should be treated like a black slave from the 1750′s is very offensive.

If he had been trouncing FOX in the ratings for cable-talk stations, he’d still be there. MSNBC has marginally more viewers than a test card, on the best of days. But even Lefties have a problem with someone doing scat-fantasy on a “news” and commentary show, ‘twould appear.

(BTW, the context, for anyone who does not know it, was that Bashir took umbrage at La Palin for having had the temerity to liken intergenerational debt to a form of indentured servitude being imposed on one’s descendants. His “No, b*tch, that ain’t slavery– this HERE’s slavery!” rant added nothing to the subject in any event.)

In this case it lost him his job as well as the argument.

Russian bankruptcy at the end of the First World War created the conditions for the Bolshevik Revolution and the enslavement of millions. The economic collapse of the Weimar Republic led to the rise of Hitler and the enslavement of millions more. Throughout history there are examples of the collapse of empires leading to the enslavement of peoples. Bashir’s combination of ignorance and malice is chilling.

      Richard says:

      Well said, sir.

Palin does come across as a bit thick and rather inarticulate, but in fact, what she was saying (though with her customary inelegance) was more or less correct. But she wasn’t talking about slavery directly, she was talking about debt. I’ve no idea what Bashir was on about. As far as I can tell, he just saw it as another chance to embellish his credentials with the gullible by twisting the situation to allow him to say a few strident things which he imagined and hoped would be well received. They weren’t and he came unstuck; good!

  22. 27
    Mike Oxenfire says:

“I deeply regret what was said”

Notice how he offers the usual kind of non-apology spouted by leftists when they are caught out — the refusal to accept responsibility for their wrongdoing — as shown by his use of the passive voice.

Why couldn’t he man up and say “I deeply regret what I said”?

  23. 28

You hypocritical righties. What Bashir said was stupid but don’t get all indignant when you know you wouldn’t have given a toss if he’d said it about a Democrat.

Palin is a complete mong who doesn’t do your cause any favours. Do you really want someone so illiterate and thick on your side? Someone who talked about a “squirmish” and pontificated about family values and abstinence shortly before her daughter got herself up the duff by a redneck hick called Levi?

Did the stupid Palin say something that was absolutely spot on, truthful and honest?
Has she exploded the Socialist myth of the ‘forever money tree’?
Has it upset you deeply that the truth about tax is spreading – that what is free for some is taken by force from others or will have to be paid for by future generations?

    DB says:

The irony of this is that it is quite rare for anyone other than lefties to invoke the idea of slavery. It is usually some pr1ck on the left that chooses to mention the subject, usually in the context of demanding a hike in the minimum wage or of protesting against the very idea that the taxpayer might require welfare recipients to work in order to receive handouts.

Oddly enough, such ludicrous references to slavery have not previously prompted Bashir or any of his fellow cretins to resort to the gutter.

      Just Saying. says:

Ironic that over two years ago a Lt Colonel in the US Marines went to visit his original family birthplace in a village in Ghana (then the Gold Coast).
On his return he publicly stated he was glad of slavery as otherwise he would be a poor kid in this village in the middle of nowhere.
Obama and co were not pleased.

        Airey Belvoir says:

American descendants of slaves should stop playing the victim card and give thanks that their forebears were sold (by other Africans) to Arab middlemen and onwards. They and their own descendants now enjoy a far, far better life than the descendants of those left behind. Slavery was a wicked trade but its consequences have been much to their benefit.

While it is generally agreed that Palin knows fuck all and is a nutter, nevertheless she got lucky and essentially nailed it on the matter of the recent decade or two of accumulated national debt putting the following generation in chains.

A confused Nick Griffin says Nigel Farage is a shill for the City, forgetting that City banks want to stay in the EU:

“Farage is a snake oil salesman, but a very good one. His supposed anti-immigration stance is all smoke and mirrors, as is his carefully cultivated image as a ‘man of the people’. The truth is that UKIP is a pro-immigration party that exists to lobby for the interests of the City of London.”
