Well The People’s new website is certainly different. They’ve gone for a Pinterest-style grid layout where readers have the choice of deciding which stories make the top of the news, or simply have it in chronological order. Click through and its a Buzzfeed-lite assortment of listicles, gifs and photos. “F*cking plebgate by f*cking numbers” is how they are doing politics, for example. Apparently it’s “news without the boring bits”. All the brainchild of Trinity Mirror exec Sue Douglas. 

Looks good, but judging by the number of people who have actually clicked on the new thumb signs on the front page readers may need some time to get used to it…
