You wait ten years for John Major to say something interesting, and then you get him twice. The former PM has let the cat out of the bag, again, this time on the view of many Tories on Scottish Freedom:
“From a purely partisan political point of view, the Conservative party would be much better placed without Scotland because some where down the line we have mislaid our Scottish votes.”
For once, Sir John will have lots of his fellow party members secretly agreeing with him.
