Plebgate Highlights Useless PCCs

The first big test for an elected Police and Crime Commissioners is not going very well. Plodding Independent Ron Ball from Warwickshire got skewered by Paxman on Newsnight last night, while Labour’s West Midlands PCC Bob Jones was equally useless on yesterday’s Daily Politics:

Perhaps that could be because Jones involved in this up to his neck. Here he is delivering a letter into Mitchell’s office trying to stir up the incident last year:

His note was published by LabourList, before they changed their tune. The Fed loved him…

“But I will go farther. I declare to you, from the bottom of my heart, that no Socialist system can be established without a political police. Many of those who are advocating Socialism or voting Socialist to-day will be horrified at this idea. That is because they are short-sighted, that is because they do not see where their theories are leading them.” Winston Churchill 1945.

Wolverhampton Labour City Councillor says it all.
Jones is seeking protection of and with the West Midland Police and Birmingham City Council, who are exceedingly quiet on this subject.
But even so what a disgraceful performance from Jones and the usual volte face from Emma Reynolds after the baying of blood from her party and its leader. People will notice Reynolds supported Jones as to his other actions but did not state one word against his obvious disgustingly biased performance.

      From the political activist Bob Jones’ letter;

‘I hope you will join me in publicly condemning Andrew Mitchell’s abuse toward police officers. People across the West Midlands are appalled at the out of touch comments that Andrew Mitchell made. It would be unforgivable if the Conservative candidate for West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner will not join me in STANDING UP FOR POLICE OFFICERS and condemning his comments.’

I though it was Jones’ job to stand up for the people of the West Midlands.

      He should resign.

    Quotes by Mrs T says:

I have a genuine, sincere question for posters here. I often read incredibly sexist, sometimes outright misogynist comments here, and at the same time there’s unqualified admiration and adulation of Mrs Thatcher. I was recently reading up on some of her famous quotes, some of them witty, some of them profound, all generally very interesting. But they also included quotes which, had they been said by any other woman, would’ve been mercilessly mocked and crucified by commenters here as “typical feminist bollocks by wimmin”. So I’d like to post some of these quotes by Mrs T and ask for your opinions on them. How does it sit with your otherwise sexist attitudes?

If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.

It may be the cock that crows, but it is the hen that lays the eggs.

I’ve got a woman’s ability to stick to a job and get on with it when everyone else walks off and leaves it.

One of the things being in politics has taught me is that men are not a reasoned or reasonable sex.

The latest thing is “intentional rounding”the nurses (regardless of whatever else is kicking off on the ward)have to go around every patient HOURLY and ask them a list of questions eg, do you want the toilet, a drink, painkillers, or have you still got your 1)hearing aid 2) false teeth 3) walking stick .Is the bed area tidy, has the patient got his call bell etc etc . No extra staff have been provided for this farce strangely enough.

The police tried to use our children against me, to keep me from naming and shaming offending officers. My PCC, and my Tory MP, won’t help me expose a glaring discrepancy in the duty of care’ argument.

Of course Police & Crime Commissioners are a joke.

Why is everyone thinking that Mitchell is telling the truth and the police officers are lying. It is possible that Mitchell is the liar and the police are telling the truth.
Just because Mitchell was the Chief Whip does not make him a paragon of virtue, I always used to vote Conservative but the lst time I voted Conservative was when Ted Heath was Prime Minister. I could not stomach Thatcher and I have never voted for Labour or Lib Dem. I am convinced that Party Leaders are getting worse and worse.

NEVER in the history of television interviews has anyone come over with such mind numbing mediocrity. It would be interesting to know just how many voters actually turned out.
Who had even heard of him what makes him believe he has any qualification whatsoever to hold any public office ?
Another of ‘Call me Dave’s” great ideas biting him on the arse! You couldn’t make it up.

As predicted by anyone with half a brain what he got was bog-standard useless pig-thick twats with ‘immaculate’ public sector CVs, f.all experience of the real world, who (rightly) see the PCC role as another seat on the gravy train.
