Westminster Council Ticket Hillary Clinton’s Motorcade

Proof that a Westminster parking warden will try and ticket literally anyone. Even Hillary Clinton.

Cllr Daniel Astaire, Westminster City Council cabinet member for business, told the Mail:

‘Despite our traffic marshal being questioned by the secret service for just doing his job, he was in the right. The former US Secretary of State was parked for nearly 45 minutes without paying. I’m sure she will understand that we have to be fair to everyone, regardless of their status on the world stage.”

Presumably it will go on the pile along with the £7.2m the US Embassy owes for parking fines and missed congestion charge payments.

Pleasant, modest Dominic Dunn (£63,000 a year for three days a week) is there to provide another layer of strategic obfuscation in the multi-billion miasma of the NHS.

That’s not written in to his job description but he is certainly an elusive target.

When asked a direct question – is it your job to promote competition in the NHS? – he answered: “Not to promote competition, but to address anti-competitive behaviour.”Read More

Attorney General Says EU Membership is “Ethical”

Here’s one for the Euro-sceptics. The Attorney General thinks we should stay in the EU for “ethical” reasons. Dominic Grieve was speaking to his legal chums about the EU and the ECHR:

“I hope it is clear that the economic, physical and ethical well-being of the United Kingdom remains rooted in international engagement. We have to play an active part in these organisations.”

That should further endear him to his party.
