WATCH: Psycho Huhne Newsnight Interview in Full

Over at the Guardian’s broadcast arm, Ian Katz has given increasingly unhinged criminal homewrecker Chris Huhne free rein on Newsnight. It is definitely worth watching in full:

Let it go Chris, it’s over…

If people cared, the Labour Party would be finished. (And, for the sake of balance, I have to admit that the other parties would look pretty motheaten as well.)

          Jimmy says:

Our fault, if we have, is that sometimes I think we care too much.

(He says, piously clasping his hands and gazing heavenwards.)

          • Gideon says:

Tachy, “He says, piously clasping his hands and gazing heavenwards” I thought that was the what used to be the Conservative Party at prayer Church of England, but no, the CoE is now considered as a lefty, poor sympathising, dogooders kiddie fiddlers as are the RC’s, which no right thinking righty Conservative in full possession of their right mind would consider supporting, unless they can make a turn on what they do.

It pays to have a Guardian man in charge of NN.

KENNETH ” IT IS NOW ” WOLSTENHOLME SAYS

Aston Villa liability Gabriel Agbonlahor has been placed into protective custody after he injured pop pixie and joke human Louis Tomlinson in a charity football match.

Tomlinson, who performs in circus act One Direction, is infamously protected by a legion of unstable and totally ruthless teenage girls, who have been described as a cross between the Russian Mafia and a group of ravenous hyenas.

A spokesperson for Villa forward Agbonlahor, confirmed the player is terrified after receiving thousands of abbreviated death threats via social media.

“The police are dealing with the matter. They have explained that these girls are angry at the world because of their diminished mental functions and inability to form lasting relationships amongst their peer group

“There is talk of rounding them up and moving them to Siberia, where they would take part in a battle royale style death match, where the winners would be congratulated before being shot throw the head.

“It’s just one of the ideas being floated about.”

Agbonlahor and Tomlinson were taking part in an exhibition match at Celtic Park, raising money for former Celtic and Aston Villa player Stiliyan Petrov, who recently retired from football following a long battle with leukaemia.

I used to wish that I might one day find my Owen watching Match of the Day or reading Shoot like all the other boys, but since you’ve started forwarding these dreadfully dull articles I’m almost relived only to have to hear about how nasty the tories are.

Let him go, if you give him the oxygen of publicity you only encourage him, because he has attacked Geedoes lord and master the attack dog is baring his teeth, that’s why Geedoe is attacking him, strange though, <bNO mention of The Two Geedoes part in his downfall.

How about a deserved return to jail? There is still most of the prison sentence to be served.

  3. 3
    recklessmonkey says:

Why psycho? He gives a perfectly reasonable account of his perspective of his recent experience.

I’m no fan of his, the behaviour in getting his wife to accept penalty points is terrible, and clearly adultery is bad, but you can’t dismiss his analysis of the actions of News International in focusing a light on this situation for their own ends, and to ensure the destruction of his political life.

There is more than one story here, and if you were really any kind of proper political journalist and commentator you’d be able to see that rather than produce more childish nonsense.

    • 6
      Right Full Rudder says:

It’s the press’s fault for exposing his behaviour? Really?

      Grumpy Old Man says:

Psychopaths do reasonable very well. It’s obvious to them that the World should fit round them and they can be very articulate in their own self-interest. Read, “Snakes in Suits”. Huhne fits the profile perfectly.

    • 48
      Jeffrey Bernard says:

Keeping taking the nuts, Monkey – you will feel better in the end. That Cnut Huhne put himself on the public stage, Rupert Murdoch did not; That Cnut Huhne perverted the course of justice in 2003; That Cnut Huhne electioneered on the basis of the strength of his commitment to family life, Rupery Murdoch did not; That Cnut Huhne destroyed his own marriage by having an affair with Trimingham (unless he and you are so delusional as to suppose that the marriage could be healthy and honest while he was going some with La Trimingham) – Rupert Murdoch did not; That Cnut Huhne also chose to lie and to lie and to lie about what had happened in 2003 – Rupert Murdoch did not.
So what did the “Evil [Murdoch] Empire” do? It shone a light on the rank dishonesty, hypocrisy and overall shabiness of one of the most senior politicians in the country. That is not something to be deprecated – it was a free press SHOULD be doing in a democratic country. And if you don’t like it, then you can always move somewhere where the press does not behave like that – could I suggest North Korea?
Time for a drink, methinks, to help me calm down about the bleakness of the prospects of humankind indicated by your post.

      • 52
        Gideon says:

” That Cnut Huhne also chose to lie and to lie and to lie about what had happened in 2003 – Rupert Murdoch did not” but Rupe and his minions just could not remember, sort of collective memory loss.

      • 57
        Dirty Digger says:

I don’t deny being a crook, I just fail to remember whether I’m a crook.
As for repeatedly pissing on my wedding vows when I claimed to be a Christian, well I got my come-uppance when I walked into my own bedroom to find that Bliar fellow hanging out the back of my wife.

But it doesn’t have any bearing on the question of whether the criminal lying hoon Huhne should be paid licence-fee-payer’s money to spout his shite on national TV. What’s next? Rose West on the Syrian crisis?

      • 64
        Blowing Whistles says:

While I detest Huhne as having been found out – May I suggest that you take another look at your ‘perception’ of Rupert Murdoch as being some kind of saint; he ain’t? Murdoch is one of the most manipulative and quite despicable men to have ever trodden this earth. He has hidden himself behind his manipulation of not only individual politicians [e.g. Blair 'his jester'] but whole governments for far too many decades – even Michael Howard was summoned to one of Rupes annual gatherings in Mexico some years ago. He didn’t bend over enough at the time so the tory party were left in the wilderness. Murdoch not only controls and manipulates governments but he works with the states’ apparatus if not controlling their judiciaries by all means fair and foul. [Entrapment / Blackmail / subordination for fear of being exposed] – as for the rest of the press you mentioned ‘free press’ – May I suggest you try and think a little deeper than the surface?

Clue – Does he work with the establishment while being seen to regale against it?

  4. 4
    Anonymous says:

So newsnight let Huhne say pretty much whatever he likes – it’s all Murdochs fault. Do we all feel sorry for him now.

“Those who break the law cannot make the law” – nice line Huhne, but you don’t actually believe that or you would have resigned when you broke the law, not only when you got caught out.

Liar within his marriage. (Multiple ?)
Liar on climate change causes and consequences.

    Liar and c*nt.

    • 13
      Tachybaptus says:

John Profumo was to some extent a victim of circumstances, even a fall guy. But he atoned (this is always the word that people use for him) to an enormous extent. It makes you think that actually his vocation was to do good, and he made an early mistake by straying into the dirty alley of politics before setting out on the true road of his life.

    Disgusting.

    'Alkie' Eda says:

Huhne’s speech was decidedly slurred throughout the interview.

Didn’t affect the gut-wrenching self-pitying attempts at rationalisation and justification.

Did he learn NOTHING from Profumo?

    Vikki Soulaki Thessaloniki says:

The Key Point is this was a rather old, cold, stale Porkie Pie. But Porkie Pie it was. Law maker was broken by his Law Breaking and that is good. The next one please!

    Irritable Sod says:

Hu-hne failed to make the grade in the leadership election for Lib Dumbs, so he “rewards” himself in other areas (affair). I’m sure a psychologist would have a field day with that!

Having met the man, I can assure you that he’s as slimy in real life as he appears on screen. There is not one jot of humility in him. Psychopath is the right word.

  16. 42
    REALWORLDER says:

Unbelievable, the man is totally without shame, remorse or honour,as is usual with
these vermin it is always someone else’s fault.
If it was Murdoch’s gang who helped to nail the piece of filth we owe them a vote
    of thanks.

  17. 45
A Wanker from the BBC says:

A victim of the evil Murdoch, Chris Huhne is no psychopath. In time, thanks to us, the nation will come to understand this truth. We shall not challenge Chris’s new lies, resulting as they do from Post Murdoch Stress Syndrome.

But this will have to wait for now. We are busy working on a new system to remunerate ourselves appropriately without the plebs finding out.

  18. 46
I'll have some of that says:

Best laugh I’ve had for days: “Did you ever tell lies as a minister?” “No”…….!

  19. 47
Burn down the BBC and salt the earth says:

Had it been some liar and cheat of a Tory persuasion then Paxman would have torn him a new asshole.

But it’s business as usual at GuardianBBC HQ…

  20. 50
Lord Patten of Labour Broadcast says:

A remarkably clubby type of gentle interview by a clearly sympathetic Jeremy Paxman. I doubt there is anyone else he would treat with such kid gloves and allow such self-justification to go on endlessly without challenge. Perhaps Paxo has swapped points as well and feels a kind of kinship?

  21. 54
    REALWORLDER says:

No doubt Huhne is being groomed to sit on the sofa with Abbot [if there is enough space by then] on the politics show.
Paxman was clearly under instructions to go easy on the self serving parasite.

  22. 59
    Jen The Blue says:

What a total **** ! Trying to weasel out of blame. Deserved all he got.

  23. 60
    Ed Milicoward. says:

Rod Liddle on the loony UN sexism special rapporteur:

“There is more sexism in Britain than in any other country in the world, according to a mad woman who has been sent here by the United Nations.

Rashida Manjoo is a part-time professor of law at Cape Town University in the totally non-sexist country of South Africa (otherwise known as Rape Capital Of The World).

Mrs Magoo has been wandering around with her notebook and is appalled by the sexist “boys’ club” culture here, apparently.

I don’t doubt we still have sexism in the UK. But is it worse than in, say, Saudi Arabia, d’you think, honey-lamb? Or about 175 other countries? Get a grip, you doolally old bat.”
