Galloway Blames Israel For Syria Chemical Weapons Attack

George Galloway’s performance on Iranian state television today deserves a wider audience:

Almost unbelievable that this man is a British MP.

        Aviation Electronics Student says:

I have little time for George G but on this occasion he may well have a point. It makes no sense whatsoever for Assad to use chemical weapons and ‘cross the red line’ at a time when a) he is winning the war, b) UN inspectors are actually on the ground, at his request.

The rebels were proven to possess chemical weapons just three months ago. Unlike Assad they have nothing to lose, if the weapons are found to have been from the rebel side it will be dismissed as the work of a few non-representative fanatics – like that nice man who decapitated the christian priest, and the cannibal chap. The real question is who are the undoubted professionals who helped the rebels to deliver their poison so very effectively? Now that it has been revealed that there are French, Israeli and USA special forces active in Syria?

This story is not about poison gas but natural gas. Syria is at the end of a potentially very major gas pipeline that would cut European energy dependency on Russia. And there is the ancillary benefit that once Syria is gone, Iran will be that much easier for Nobel Peace Prize winner President Obama and his cronies to bring to heel.

Who benefits from this latest atrocity? It is not Assad, that’s for sure. Follow the money, and the power.

        • 149
          red ed's wet bed says:

There are many things it could have been – an FSA false flag, an attempt by foreign special forces to kick the UN into action, foreign jihadists, a Syrian army colonel’s panicked response to losing a battle. The one thing you can bet it was not was an order from the top of the Syrian govt. This is the last thing Assad wants with UN weapons inspectors literally a five minute drive down the road and senile old fools like John McCain itching to start yet another war.

Not that it matters a lick. The US will launch it’s SCUDs at Assad’s command and control facilities and Syria will soon become, like Libya and Egypt, another Muslim Brotherhood-run piece of the new 21st century Islamic Caliphate

    Not Blowing Whistles says:

It would be good to see the evidence to support his theory.

There were a lot of chemical weapons mislaid in L!bya after Gaddafi fell. Word is that some of these may have found their way into Al Qaeda’s hands. That in itself is a more credible suggestion and just as provable as George’s notion.

US State Dept / UK FCO should be able to confirm / deny.

Assad likely has not used chemical agents as that would lose him support of Russ!a / !ran immediately – a situation he cannot afford.

The !srael claim is an incredible claim. Evidence George, not rhetoric, please.

Question: Has this view on !ranian TV got support or condemnation from people at large in !ran ? Or are they not really that interested ?

99% certain it was a false flag attack, the jihadists are losing big-time so gassing 100s of kiddies would be their best play to get closed-Muslim Obama to commit to backing them.

IIRC a jihadist cell was caught with sarin gas up on the northern border, so the irregulars can certainly source it.

As Assad is winning and Obama specifically stated use of chemical weapons as a red line it makes no sense for Assad to have done it.

That doesn’t mean he didn’t as people do things that don’t make sense all the time.

If Israel wants Assad toppled then they’d have the motive to do it to try and drag the Yanks in. Obviously they wouldn’t give Sarin to AQ. If they did it they’d use their own guys who can pass for Arabs. However given the media focus on Syria and how much something like this at this time would immediately make people think about the possibility of a false flag (because Assad is winning) i’m not sure gassing a load of kids would pass any kind of risk assessment.

There are probably other actors who’d like to get the US involved though so i don’t think the full list of possible actors contains just Assad or Israel.

But on the face of it, it doesn’t make sense for Assad to do this because he’s winning.

Israel or Assad aren’t the only two options. If USUK want Assad toppled for whatever reason then it’s currently not going their way. They’d benefit the most from a nice little red-line crossing which allowed them to smash up Assad’s forces.

But he’s not a “British”MP. You are missing the distinction that Saint Tony made when he used the convoluted expression ” people of BBritain” to address the multiculti mob he imported to complete the thnic cleansing of Britain. Galloway is an opportunist and he knows the best opportunity is to get paid shedloads to undermine Britain and complete the xtermination of the British. When their light is extibguish then there will be some gnashing of ethnic teeth. Because their new masters will be proper bastards like Mugabe. But bby then the missionaries and cricket bats will be just a fond memory. You can see it in action in the US. The mob overthrew British rule but their new masters are far harsher.

“Almost unbelievable that this man is a British MP.”

It is, when you consider MPs are almost without exception gutless, spineless, wingeing wimps, pathologically unable to take a stand on anything. I don’t buy into Assad being behind this either. At least gorgeous George has a bit of backbone, unlike useless Miliband and Cameron.

It feels good to see any maverick outsider rattle the political establishment (and I include YOU Guido).

Remember the Arab Spring? Remember how the UK media, and the BBC in particular, were cheering it on? They saw it as the dawn of democracy in the Middle East.

It’s hard to believe liberal Egyptians and Syrians will look to the West for assistance. The USA backed the over-throw of the old regime (our allies). They backed the useless Morsi and now they’re backing the ruthless generals who over-threw him.

The only message that Galloway is sending out is: don’t trust these bastards as far as you can throw them.

Without proper evidence of who actually fired/released the stuff and proof of what this stuff actually was – not assumed to be – this is meaningless theatre for the unthinking proles, in order to support some agenda.

From what I’ve seen so far, the best “fit” for the scanty evidence so far is that most of this is faked, a few suffocatees pulled out of a basement with a dodgy heater left on overnight. These wallahs are somewhat excitable chappies at the best of times. G rab a parent, show him his dead child, tell him the wicked (insert chosen enemy here) did it, and he’ll have a crowd yelling and firing AKs in the air within thirty minutes.

There was no devastation “plume” of casualties and almost all the photos look like they were done by the producers of Drop the Dead Donkey. There would have been medics keeling over from fumes in the bodies’ clothing, and puddles of piss and vomit from the victims, at least.

Even the Americans have said they don’t want to be involved. The Russians are calling it a “Provokatsia”.

    3/10, must try much harder.

Mahmood I'm a dinner jacket says:

With Galloway working for Iranian state TV, it’s probably not dawned on him that the chemical attack in Syria could well have been the work of Iranian Hezbollah. Conspiracy theory maybe, but a good way for Khamenei and the regime in Iran to test whether Obama has the balls to act. Cos if he doesn’t have the balls to act over this one then there’s no chance of him acting over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Of course Galloway couldn’t possibly put this forward as a theory on Press TV as the editorial control of this channel is based in Tehran and they wouldn’t like it one bit. He’d be taken off the air…..and if he happened to be Iranian and based in Iran he would be thrown in jail to join the other Journalists who now languish in Iran’s jails. The irony !

Rod Liddle on the loony UN sexism special rapporteur:

“There is more sexism in Britain than in any other country in the world, according to a mad woman who has been sent here by the United Nations.

Rashida Manjoo is a part-time professor of law at Cape Town University in the totally non-sexist country of South Africa (otherwise known as Rape Capital Of The World).

Mrs Magoo has been wandering around with her notebook and is appalled by the sexist “boys’ club” culture here, apparently.

I don’t doubt we still have sexism in the UK. But is it worse than in, say, Saudi Arabia, d’you think, honey-lamb? Or about 175 other countries? Get a grip, you doolally old bat.”
