    Drummer Rigby RIP

  20. 20

…and that is putting the charitable hat on.

    Crooks, more like.

  21. 21
    Stone turner says:

The most important omission in the bill is anything at all saying what will be done as a result of the referendum. Something along the lines of “… in the event of a No result being returned, Parliament will be obliged to repeal the 1972 European Communities Act within one calander year” or somesuch.
As the bill stands, the government is not actually obliged to actually DO anything at all with the result, except perhaps to ignore it and hold another referendum later on to get a ‘right’ answer.

  22. 22
    TPA says:

gonna be funny on here when the UK votes to stay in.

Would you expect anything else from Cameron?

  27. 27
Axe The Telly Tax & Religion & Kill All Ecoloons says:

None of this fake referendum bill bullshit will shoot UKIP’s fox.

Old Labour voters, who hate the EU and despise what the Blairites have done to the party, are switching to UKIP in their droves all over the north and midlands.

The LibLabCon will need to order more toilet paper as they they shit even more bricks.

  28. 28
Solar Madness has been out in the Sun says:

Never realised that this Solar Feed in Tariff meant you got paid for feeding in to your own home.

It is absolute madness. Not only do you generate your own electricity your energy supplier has to pay you for the energy that you supply to yourself and at super premium rates too.

Actually it’s not your energy supplier that is paying you to use as much electricity as possible, it is your neighbours who use the same electricity supplier.

Only a LibDem could dream up such a crack pot scheme.

  29. 29
    Small is Good says:

Better a little Englander be than a proletariat t minion of an undemocratic super state.

  30. 30

Yet another last gasp from the Toties to try to convince the electorate that they will hold a fair and free in/out referendum if the win. What a patronising insult to the electorate, we all know its bull s**t and here is why

Vote UKIP the Tories have had their chance and renaged and the vidio shows that Cameron never intends to give us a vote, he tells the HOC himself that you won’t get one. all this is a panic because he knows that not only will he lose in2015 but a lot of his MPs will become jobseekers.

  44. 44
    TPA says:

Will the UKIP candidate win in my constituency?

Probably not, but at least I will be able to face my Grandchildren and say, “I tried”

  49. 49
V1le Labour trashed my Country says:

I still don’t believe the corrupt politicians in Westminster will give up all the bribes, pensions and other freebies and bungs from the eu.

  52. 52
    Mine d'Boggles says:

Madness? What DO you mean madam? Some of us are making an absolute fortune from the rare earth minerals needed for solar panels and windmill controls. We really must be clear on this, our friends in China produce 100% of the diddums we need for windmills and 97% of the whatever needed for solar panels. And despite all that, the weather is rubbish, Global Warming has been replaced by expensive electricity, and I have just bought a new Lamborgini that does 2 mpg. Really, what “madness” are you talking about?

  53. 53
    A Libertarian says:

I am a libertarian, but I am not selfish. I just happen to believe that my acts of generosity to others should be MY generosity, not some theft instigated by a rapacious, overblown, self-serving state.

  54. 54
Red Ed Millibandwagon and the BBC Party says:

I think our sitting on the fence is the right position even though it is hurting my arse. We will come off the fence when we gain political advantage and to do so may involve us assisting UKIP against the “nasty party”

It is an attempt to pervert the course of justice.

    Hang ‘em.

  63. 63

I’m just beginning to get a really nice stiffy talking to you. You are just the type I like.

Like all fucking lefties, you go shedding your crocodile tears over tragic deaths, as if no one else thinks they are tragic.

Yet, along with all your pals, no one gets the bullet for their sins of omission (or commission). When your lot does something about holding the guilty to account, then maybe we can have a conversation about your sub-standard dick and see if there is a wonder cure.

Now tell me, malignant neoplasm fuckhead, which is it better to die of? The Gestapo or the NHS when it is misrun?

  64. 64
    Village Idiot says:

The old boy (like many of his generation who don’t like to make a fuss) politely said no he wouldn’t.
How the bloke really felt we will never know as he died a week later.
    Fucking shameful.

  75. 75
    HenryV says:

Not unusual for the burials of murder victims to be weeks later.

BTW take your conspiratorial shit and shove it.

  76. 76
Young Good. Old Bad in the NHS says:

The Doctor was really saying. We do notthink it is worth bresuscitating you and you will be better off dead. But if you really insist then we will save youand give you expensive care until you die.

And most of them do it. One actually told me that they had decided not to resuscitate my mother. Mum had no choice and I had no say. THe NHS is a Disgrace.

  77. 77
    Village Idiot says:

I tried in 1975,i voted “NO”,but idiots believed that alcohol and tobacco would be the same price here as in europe, and voted “YES” in their droves…..I can hold my head up today as i believe i was right..

  78. 78
    TPA says:

    way to project there Mr

i’m not even a leftie, i just find your post in very poor taste, although as ever on here, someone who isn’t rabidly right wing and offensive = a leftie

it’s quite clear those responsible for Mid Staffs and the CQC farrago which is ongoing should be named, shamed and held to account.

anyone who thinks otherwise is a tit. just as those who try and compare it to Hitlers murder of millions of people is also a tit. You lose your argument with such hysteria.

  79. 79
    Anon E Mouse says:

It doesn’t matter how this vote goes as the two electable parties are both pro-EU.

Voting UKIP will only prevent Cameron from forming the next government. Grimy Miner and his friends may vote UKIP (#48) but the tribal loyalists will still vote for the red rosette and Millipede will have his feet up on the cabinet table come summer 2015.

  80. 80
    Steve. says:

+ More. I cannot understand why anyone would vote for a party that was responsible for the policies, for hiring the people that implemented those policies, that led to the premature deaths of thousands of what seems to be mostly women and children across the entire NHS.

It beggars belief that the people involved are not facing charges, and possibly prison for, at best criminal neglect, at worst wholesale manslaughter. The Tories don’t come out of this unscathed either, as they are entirely complicit in the cover up.

These people are sick, sick individuals, yet people will still vote for them. Have we Brits really descended to that level of stupidity, or have we just become numbed to the point of extreme apathy.

  81. 81
    Jabba Le Chat says:

“Do you think that the United Kingdom should be a member of the European Union?”

  82. 82

You were speaking like a leftie.
You were acting like a leftie.
Therefore you are a fucking leftie in my book.

And as Anonymous asked, how many?

My point is a valid one. The Nuremberg Trials, victor’s justice or not, at least attempted to apportion blame. You have left it very late in your contribution to the hysteria attack to denounce the situation having started off with pure ad hominem. Look above if your memory is not that good. Now you feebly attempt to turn the argument because you have lost.

There is no justice for the victims at Morecambe Bay trust, Stafford Hospital trust or any of the other situations as yet unidentified.

Am I cross? Fuck! Yes! So should you be.

  83. 83

  86. 86
    Lord Hesiltine says:

I am pissed of with all this celebrating.

  87. 87
    Enoch Powell says:

Yes it will, lets hope someone sees it as an example

  88. 88
    Jimmy says:

So they’e targetting the people who don’t know we already joined?

  89. 89
    Tosspot says:

This is a Golden Question, we originally joined the EU for trade, however we could leave the EU but still trade, as are other countries, outside of full EU membership.
The question could ask if we should leave full membership but still remain in trade agreements…. is it not in their interest to continue trading with us, as they sell us more then we export to the EU.
It now seems the fools who allowed our membership to restrict and betray our friends, did Britain a disservice and should be rightly vilified for their actions.
Cameron is not to be trusted with this one.

  90. 90
All lib dems are liars says:

    TPA says:

it’s a ridiculous question. impossible to answer, as you well know.

i started off with an ad hominem because you made such a crass and insulting OP.

my position is clear and rational, and of course I am angry. I just don’t choose to express that anger by belittling the Holocaust.

I have lost nothing, except a few minutes of my day. you appear to have lost your marbles.

  93. 93

Despite our run in, I appreciate that you took the trouble to come back and address my question – in part.

Clearly we have a very different sense of values that we disagree so violently.

I do not see myself as belittling the Holocaust in any way. You are creating a straw man by suggesting it. I remember ration books after WWII. I remember the many bomb sites in Plymouth, where I was born which I saw from my pushchair as a child.

I have been to Auschwitz and seen the horrors there which are denied by so many. I have visited Anne Frank’s house and marvelled at her fortitude. I live for part of my time in Germany and Austria and discuss the many aspects of 20th century history with interesting people who live there. Some of these still bear guilt over the war yet were not born at the time. I do not hold any blame against them whatsoever.

I lived for a time in Austria and took my library of 8,000 books with me. One of them is Mein Kampf and it is actually illegal to own it in Austria. I took it out again as soon as I could even though I regard the banning of books as counter-productive. Although I inherited my volume, I read it to try and understand something about the state of mind of the man.

You think I have lost my marbles. That is your prerogative and I will defend your right to hold that opinion, whether it holds any truth value or not.

But think carefully about this. Death is just that – when it has occurred nothing can return the lost person. Those who cause death on purpose or through wilful neglect should all be accountable. I know of no calculus which makes one mass murderer any worse than another. To run a health service facility, have people die due to neglect and then to aggravate the situation by masking the figures is no better than a mass murderer in my opinion.

Anyone who does not respect the sanctity of life is beyond the pale. There are exceptions such as Augustine’s Just War but, aside from that, they should all be up for trial.

I do not intend to continue insulting you. But I feel sorry for you if you think you have come out of this exchange well.

That question seems to be asking if we want to join the European Union rather than leave it.
My choice of question would have been –
“Do you wish for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union and negotiate a separate trade agreement instead ?”
That’s closer to what’s being proposed in the referendum. Plus, for me, it seems a more informative and unambiguous question to ask.

    OK - but says:

Do we have a clue what we will be voting for ?

The IN option will be clear – it will be a fake “renegotiation” which won’t change sht. The UEUs ever closer union will march on.

The OUT option could be anything from Norway’s EFTA status to North Korea style isolation. Who decides ? Wanna bet the government will select the least acceptable OUT option ?

George Galloway says of his former Respect candidate the UKIP MEP turned Tory, Amjad Bashir…

“Clearly Bashir does not have any real political principles or commitment, only naked opportunism and self-interest. He represents the revolving door principle in politics. The Tories are welcome to him because he will cause them embarrassment. Fortunately Respect was able to act before he did it to us.”
