Wandsworth Tories Put Greening Agent in Crosshairs

Readers will remember Guido’s campaign against Rob Morritt, the Wandsworth Tory councillor caught trousering some £50,000 in expense claims during his time as Justine Greening’s agent. Not only have the selection committee ruled that Morritt is not fit to be considered for selection at the next local elections, Guido understands that they have approved a motion of censure, leaving the thieving councillor with very few options. Guido’s source whispers:

“The decision was swift and unanimousWe are completely fed up with him. He has refused to resign, refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and he acts like he has a God given right to political power. Despite all he has done, he was offered a way of going quietly and he threw it back in our faces. At last, we are taking a stand against him.”

Expect developments next week…

Whenever she goes on the Telly the make up bods plaster them in slap only to make them stand out even more in the studio lights.

    Disgusted of East Putney says:

I hear that he will be expelled and then handed over to the Fuzz. Pudifoot’s report revealed a ton of criminality and the scale of the fraud is so massive that it can’t just be dealt with internally.

Excellent article by James Delingpole about Guido’s war.

Are there any skeletons in the cupboard? Who else signed the final accounts over the period while he auditor? Anyone question or notice the large payments over the normal?

This is a very good point which I have been asking for some time. Theft is theft. For an elected person to do it aggravates the mens rea aspect of the offence IMO.

3 years late, but very glad that Wandsworth Tories have acted. Lots of people have to look back at how they acted over the last 4 years, and we need to learn many lessons. But finally it looks like we’re going to get an answer to why the Tooting General Election campaign ran out of cash …

    Wandsworth Warrior says:

It just goes to show that if you fight and fight eventually you get your way. The criminality of Morritt is at last exposed. The cancer in Wandsworth Conservatives is at last going to be cut out. Thank you to Guido for going into bat for us!

    Our corrupt system says:

Yeah all very good but where are the Police in all this ? You call him a thief so he should be invesigated and if appropriate , prosecuted. Until we start to see the Law being applied to Politicians and fraudulent bankers the same way it would be applied to the rest of us then I for one will not be satisfied , no matter what resignations or standing asides take place.

  24. 24
    Our corrupt system says:

Indeed for an elected official to thieve only aggravates the crime and also results in several other offences such as misconduct in public office etc Yet far from this what we see is a wilful reluctance to jail these miscreants.

  25. 25
    Our corrupt system says:

I should add that the obvious reason for this sate if affairs is that he is just the tip of the iceberg and he kniws where other bodies are burried. Corrupt bastards.

There are a lot of people who will be shaking in their boots at the prospect of his downfall. He does indeed know where lots of bodies are buried and I suspect he will waste no time in getting stuck in to his new job as a grave digger.

Well done Wandsworth Tories (it took you long enough!)
Well done Guido for sticking with this one.

I wouldn’t have thought so. Baldrick is a man and they look awful on him as well.

  31. 31
    Lambeth Tory says:

Right on, brother. I remember being asked to donate more cash in the last weeks of the campaign, because it had run out of cash. And now we find it’s because someone had nicked all the cash, and some other idiots had been signing blank cheques and leaving them in the safe for the person who nicked all the cash to use to nick all the cash. And that, m’lud, is why Wandsworth have sat on it for so long. Because some of the people who signed the blank cheques & put poor financial controls in place are elected politicians.

    padeeodee says:

When Greening was transport minister she couldn’t even arrange tofill the potholes around Putney.

Jail him and send her out on a truck with the east europeans to fill them.

    obviously innocent says:

yes, he’ll be free to run as a tory in hammersmith then

  34. 34
    Disgusted of East Putney says:

UKIP won’t take him (they are not that stupid) and he will be ineligible to run for the Conservatives in Ham and Ful as he will have been expelled from the Tory party nationally.

George Galloway says of his former Respect candidate the UKIP MEP turned Tory, Amjad Bashir…

“Clearly Bashir does not have any real political principles or commitment, only naked opportunism and self-interest. He represents the revolving door principle in politics. The Tories are welcome to him because he will cause them embarrassment. Fortunately Respect was able to act before he did it to us.”
