    Wyle Cop says:

Good stuff. Today’s online Tittygraph is plastered with an all-round banner ad, making it even more illegible than usual. You’d think they’d keep it a bit sombre just for this morning.

Ironically, the advertiser claims to be an expert in marketing.

What a pile of crap that paper is these days.

    news of the screws?

are you trying to set the standard for the day a little too high?

  9. 9
    The Stilton Eater says:

Britain has a free press thanks to her.

They still have a closed shop trade union running the print workshops in France and that’s why newspapers there are expensive, readership levels are low and most people read local rags rather than the national press.

  10. 10
    The Bollocks Bollocks Channel. says:

How come the BBC with all its cutting edge technology can not transmit “all the news and weather in your area” on its HD channel and shows a RED screen with a playground soundtrack instead?

yes its very sad – there was always the excuse of good features articles but one has to wade through tabloid level garbage (there should be a term for this) to find it – very unpleasant!

Margaret Thatcher 1925 to 2010….well I never, so she’s been dead for the last three years without anyone realising.

  22. 22
Where are Tony Blair's expenses says:

Ricahrd Caborne bleating on TalkSport about how Maggie was divisive and pitched familiy against family etc etc bullshit, bull shit blah, blah

As I remember it the situation was the miners, particularly in South Yorshire, wanted to run the country. Maggie showed them that it was the electorate who decided who runs the country – thats how a democarcy works !

Everybody else in South Yorkshire thought the miners were a bunch of thick *unts with a chip on both shoulders and were delighted they were beaten.

The miners still can’t get over it, even though Scargill has now been thrown out of the NUM.

The Nottinghamshire miners had their own vote and voted 70% against a strike.

As posted many times on here Harold Wilson closed more mines than Maggie so why don’t they hate him. All the hysteria around Maggie is all whipped up by arm chair socialists with trust funds.

  33. 33
    Grrr says:

    Fuck off you wanker

  34. 34
    What Would Maggie Do? says:

Hacking would have arisen Yes. But and a big BUT Brian would have been left in his shell.

Mrs T was a good honest lady and the hackers would have felt her full wrath and that of the Law which has always existed. Unlike Dave, Ed and Nick she was capable of dealing with it herself and had no need to let a “judge” do what was required.

They should rename it Luddite Hill !

  37. 37

Murdoch would have picked up the phone, called Maggie and told her he had a little problem, of a rather delicate nature, and that he would be obliged if she would use her influence to make the problem disappear. Guess what, nothing more would be heard of it and the NotW would still be printing its garbage.

  38. 38
    Grrr says:

Yes MRs T made Murdock, even though he’s Australian, became successful there and most of his empire is outside the UK.

    Its all Mrs T’s fault.

a cousin and I were threatened with the belt by our fathers (and a grin and a wink) if we ever went down a pit – even for a look!

my father pushed coal wagons at the shaft base when 12 yrs of age – then lied his way into the army at c15 (grin & wink from knowing recruiting sarg’t?)

Ah, here it is…..there was i ….waiting at the church……waiting at the church….

    The Biased BBC says:

Quite The BBC have turned the miners into something they were not.

They call Thatcher Divisive yet ignore the TRUE FACTS that Scargil was the divisive one. Most miners were not on strike and Scargil sent his bully boys down to the working coalfields to physically intimidate those trying to get to work and even their families. The BBC paints the picture in the peoples republic of south Yorkshire and ignores what it was like for the miners of Derbyshire and Nottingham.

    Will.scousers.ever.stop.stealing.ids says:

The looniest left wing ideologies were buried long ago thanks to Thatcher. Even Labour stole her policies under Blair and Brown. It was Blair who started privatising parts of the NHS. They even tried to privatise the Post Office. And they kept all her policies of stopping a few union leaders holding the whole country to ransom. Sadly Labour didn’t adopt Thatcher’s common sense policy of not screwing up the economy by spending far too much on the public sector. But you can’t have everything.

Unfortunately, I think that it is – as you know. The Commies learned, they shape-shifted they entered parliament as Labour politicians, our school and universities our charities and institutions and of course the BBC.

And now they are making their move. New Labour has been put to the sword, they and the BBC are moving further to the left. The emasculation of our free press by the communists who have hi-jacked Leveson shows that these bastards won’t lie down. Throughout the country Communists in high places are hard at work frustrating (and using their friends in silk to help them) every reform that the Government need to enact.

    Labour’s annual budget deficit = £120 billion
Claimed funeral cost = £10 million

Even if we accept Abbott’s claim the funeral amounts to 0.008% of the budget deficit left by Gordon Brown, the man who signed off on the funeral plans.

Put another way, the £10 million is about 45 minutes of the annual deficit left by Abbott and Labour.

George Galloway says of his former Respect candidate the UKIP MEP turned Tory, Amjad Bashir…

“Clearly Bashir does not have any real political principles or commitment, only naked opportunism and self-interest. He represents the revolving door principle in politics. The Tories are welcome to him because he will cause them embarrassment. Fortunately Respect was able to act before he did it to us.”
