So what? Just Peter Hitchens being Peter Hitchens. Nothing unusual there.
And the other chap – never heard of him.

“Hold but be ready for more quantitative easing once forthcoming Budget measures are analysed and current trends become clearer. A more upbeat performance in the service sector contrasts with poorer manufacturing and construction data and weak lending figures.”

Provided they return them on time I don’t see the problem.

Hitchens Minor does make a compelling argument, but as usual its for China’s one child policy.

Labour seem to be apologising for most of the fuck-ups they made, including the latest from Yvette Cooper.
So we still have the same labour shadow ministers as under Brown. So why should anyone trust labour now or indeed at the next election.

Peter hitchens took part in an effort to give up alcohol for for a month for newsnight/C4 news (can’t remember which) during which he failed miserably. Kind of makes this interview pretty hypocritical really.

Tom Harris bemoans the public’s attitude to politicians…

“Mr Oborne echoes the lazy, anti-politics whine we hear so often these days, all based on the absurd notion that politicians were once loved and only fell out of public favour during the expenses scandal. He should take a walk to the Strangers’ Bar. But not to sup with the patrons he seems to despise so much, dearie me, no; he should instead look at the paintings on the corridor outside the bar, which depict the devastating fire which consumed most of the Palace in 1834. And he should reflect on the fact that on that dramatic night, as the Commons went up in flames, a crowd gathered on the South Bank to clap and cheer.”
