It was perfectly obvious from the start. Who needed a jury to work that one out?
The problem is after New Labour’s edukayshun edukayshun edukayshun that a randomly picked jury will likely include the professionally unemployed, those indoctrinated with “diversity” and “equality”, those infected by feminism and illiteracy. It’s very hard for an ill educated society to have jury trial and we need to start having a over-30s only rule and bring back the property owning rules or perhaps insist that those performing jury duty have a job.
The over-30 rule is a good idea. I would use the slightly more restrictive “born before 1973″ rule. Anyone who was born in the UK after 1972 and had a UK state education has, essentially, been shafted.
