Another LibDem Peer Defends Randy Rennard

Weirdy-beardy Lord Greaves has been at it again on the LibDem forum; smearing one of the women at the centre of the allegations as untrustworthy and a “fundraiser who raised less money than she cost to employ”. Guido hears he’s been referred to the internal investigation on the matter. Now Shirley Williams has come out to bat for Rennard, insisting that “he is a very fine man”. Something is badly wrong when the only LibDem women willing to talk to the press are defending the party sex pest…

Shirley, you old temptress, I’ve told you before, it’s young, ambitious women that I go for, the ones who think they need my support to get on in the party! But, well, I suppose we could get it together again, just for old times sake – I’m feeling a bit sorry for you, and, hey, I could do with a shag!
        Lord Rockhard.

They have had four or five years to have a ‘fair hearing’ and they deliberately avoided one. Lord Rennard was retired rather than the ‘fair hearing’ taking place. I have no sympathy.

Time they redesigned that logo, those groping hands are most unfortunate in the light of recent events. It really is extraordinary “She wasn’t much good at her job so she must be lying about sexual harassment” Using that bench mark we would have to assume everything out of Clegg’s mouth is unreliable, oh, hang on….

    • 41
      Tachybaptus says:

It’s a joke on the logo, silly. The normal logo has a scrappy pair of wings, of which the left one is considerably larger, leading to predictable jokes. However, the person who did the joke logo has used two right hands, which may be carelessness but suggests gang-groping.

Education reforms, and the pitiful state of modern history as taught in most UK schools. Also, censorship.

The practice of debt relief after conflict was standard pre-WWII.

US did not extend this ‘protocol’ to the UK though which is how we got stuck with paying off the US war debt for 60 odd years. There was a mistaken belief when the debt was acquired that most of this would be forgiven once conflict was over. Big miscalculation.

If they have to resort to “smearing” by using all manner of nasty inferences and negative words then they really are hiding lots more.

When I get “smeared” firstly I read all the wordings used – then think about being flattered and then cut the sad unintelligent smear-merchants to pieces with the English Language.

Rod Liddle on the loony UN sexism special rapporteur:

“There is more sexism in Britain than in any other country in the world, according to a mad woman who has been sent here by the United Nations.

Rashida Manjoo is a part-time professor of law at Cape Town University in the totally non-sexist country of South Africa (otherwise known as Rape Capital Of The World).

Mrs Magoo has been wandering around with her notebook and is appalled by the sexist “boys’ club” culture here, apparently.

I don’t doubt we still have sexism in the UK. But is it worse than in, say, Saudi Arabia, d’you think, honey-lamb? Or about 175 other countries? Get a grip, you doolally old bat.”
