IPSA have begun naming MPs that are under investigation finally, and much to delight of Twitter, the first person in the frame is Nadine:

“The Compliance Officer for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has reason to believe that Ms Nadine Dorries MP may have been paid an amount under the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses that should not have been allowed.  An investigation will be conducted into claims submitted under the following areas of the Third and Fourth Editions of the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses: Accommodation Expenditure; Travel and Subsistence.”

Guido understands that the allegations centre around an allegation of subletting due to a jump in electricity bills, Nadine says that is because her daughter was staying as is her right. Another travel claim for petrol has also been submitted twice.  Nadine tells Guido she’s innocent and will fight it all the way.
