Change of Direction at Conservative Way Forward

Guido hears movements are afoot at right-wing Tory group Conservative Way Forward. The once influential Thatcherite organising faction has been a bit down in the dumps of late, with moribund campaign events and a rubbish party at Tory conference. It needs a kick up the backside and it sounds like they may have found the person to do that. A new team has taken over led by Donal Blaney; Guido’s learned friend at the other end of the red phone and Chief Executive of the right-wing madrassa, aka the Young Britons’ Foundation. This should upset a few dour types…

      Gun violence (Jamaica) – 47
      Gun violence (US) – 10.2
      Gun violence (UK) – 0.25
      Car accidents (Egypt) – 42
      Car accidents (UK) – 3.59
      Suicide (Europe) – 3.5
NHS Staffs – 160 (a minimum estimate assuming Stafford hospital is one of 4 in the county – these are excess deaths)

Living in Staffordshire you are almost 4 times as likely to be murdered by the NHS as a Jamaican is likely to be shot in Jamaica.

This is an example of how fucked up we are says:

Despite hundreds of deaths at this state sponsored death camp , not one solitary person has been prosecuted, on the plus side a hospital spokesperson gave an interview in which she stated that “lessons had been learned ” and I’m sure the relatives of the victims were reassured and got consolation from the fact that she also managed to get the buzz phrases “working with/in the local community”, “multi agency”, ” our colleagues in our partner agencies” , into her statement.

It also cuts down the pension bill.

Unfortunately it also destroys trust in a valued national institution and may yet preempt serious civil unrest.

Also, unless this is prosecuted, murder and manslaughter have just been legalized: There is no moral argument against at this point in time.

National Socialism: ‘Totalitarian movement led by Adolf Hitler as head of Germany’s Nazi Party. Its roots lay in the tradition of Prussian militarism and discipline and German Romanticism, which celebrated a mythic past and proclaimed the rights of the exceptional individual over all rules and laws. Its ideology was shaped by Hitler’s beliefs in German racial superiority and the dangers of communism. It rejected liberalism, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights, stressing instead the subordination of the individual to the state and the necessity of strict obedience to leaders. It emphasized the inequality of individuals and races and the right of the strong to rule the weak. Politically, National Socialism favoured rearmament, reunification of the German areas of Europe, expansion into non-German areas, and the purging of undesirables.’

The Ottawa argument is b/s: People forget the favorable exchange rate and London is not that expensive.

Also: Note that he did not want the job, which is why he is only on a 5 year term, rather than the usual 8.

    Send him back.

      Economist says:

      Well he is a crook.

There is nothing he will be able to do, and his massive pay package is more to do with foreknowledge of just where Sterling is headed, and also what real inflation is going to look like over the next few years.

UBS downgrading all of their previously classified ‘conservative’ clients to ‘aggressive’ is one big tell of what is coming: That being the bond market collapse. Anyone who has significant holdings of bonds should seriously consider switching that position.

IRS payouts likely to be capped, and banks protected from claims stemming from LIBOR rigging.

One thing which is guaranteed: Sterling will significantly devalue, and iffy trade tariffs / protectionist monetary policies may start popping up as the race to the bottom in the currency markets resume. UK has not seen GDP reduction following current monetary policy since 2008 which is one thing Osborn needs to be held to account for now if he intends to continue this policy.

The real question is, how long before the financial war turns into a real one.

      2 Years or 5 ?

Ain’t it funny these days how you mustn’t offend
In this mish-mash Britain, everybody’s your friend
There’s bad words you can’t say and there’s thoughts you can’t think
‘Cos go down that pathway and you’ll end up in clink
Yet when it comes down to homicidal brass tacks
There’s a certain conviction that Parliament lacks
If you’re old and sick and under N H S care
Killing you off saves cash, so it’s perfectly fair

That article is, without doubt, one of the most depressing and soul-destroying articles I’ve ever read.

It’s a shame that the BBC seem to think that trying to spin as a “Gove’s a negligent twat” story (where, in reality, Gove got forced by unions and the libdems to fuck-up the education of every child in the country as much as possible) is more important than the NHS issues.

I wouldn’t mind if the BBC Gove attack was being done to help further the education of children, but it’s being done purely to try and damage Gove and the tories.

In fact, the most telling quote by the LibDems and Unions and the BBC, was that having exams which were harder would:
“hurt the life-chances of people who were not academic enough to pass the exams”

(yes, they really did say that, they really did say that people who have no academic ability should be able to pass an academic exam)

ie they’ve explicitly admitted that they don’t want anyone to ever fail an exam, because it makes the teachers look bad and because they don’t want anyone to ever have a qualification that differentiates them from anyone else.

I fucking hate the BBC, and the libdems and labour, but to be honest I hate the tories even more at the moment for allowing all this stuff to happen and to not stand by their principles and have the balls to do something about it all.
