If it goes bad for LD, LD MPs will jump ship (saying national interest, to save their seats), this will trigger a vote on leadership. Clegg will lose. New leader will be Cable, who will move policies to left. Cameron will go ahead just to stay as PM, his MPs will rebel. There will be a leadership election in Conservative party. New right-wing Con leader will not be able to work with Cable. UK will end up having a general election.
It’s an ideal situation for a ,”White Knight”, candidate who will get a fairly enormous protest vote which could bugger up everybody’s calculations.
