Then 1st of March will be interesting.

      1) LD wins Cameron is finished.

      2) Conservatives win, Clegg is finished.

      3) Labour wins, both Clegg and Cameron finished.

      4) UKIP wins Conservative party is finished.

        5) SNP wins, we then have proof they are cheating.

        agree.

if the wibble-liberals lose they claim irt was due to the deceit of the former MP, soon to be imprisoned.

if the con lose its that they were trying to overturn a safe Liberal seat and its a mid-term..boo to the government result.

if Miliband loses its because he had no hope of winning anyway.

Ukip won’t win so it doesn’t really matter anyway.

All parties would only suffer a little if the result was actually catastrophic for them. Libs coming 5th or something. But that won’t happen, so its a non, mid-term, by-election result of minimal importance.

If it goes bad for LD, LD MPs will jump ship (saying national interest, to save their seats), this will trigger a vote on leadership. Clegg will lose. New leader will be Cable, who will move policies to left. Cameron will go ahead just to stay as PM, his MPs will rebel. There will be a leadership election in Conservative party. New right-wing Con leader will not be able to work with Cable. UK will end up having a general election.

It’s an ideal situation for a ,”White Knight”, candidate who will get a fairly enormous protest vote which could bugger up everybody’s calculations.

Having read all the comments so far in this block:-

What a sorry shower of Chancers, Frauds and Criminals [who knows how many of the current crop across the political divides have skeletons in their past? e.g Huhne - doubt whether he's the 'only one'] all of our political parties consist of.

And they [all of them] as a ‘collective’ of so called representatives of the public – are an absolute democratic disgrace. Our political system is a world wide disgrace -and no amount of fluff or spin can conceal the fact.

The corruption from the TOP DOWN must end. When the East Germany political (Communist system) ended in 1989 – it ended because of the rank and file corruption across the whole political spectrum. The analogies to what the public are slowly beginning to see for themselves’ are not without comparison.

We are in the death throes of the current political system – it is flooded and infested within every crevice with old boy and new boy corrupt.

The DEAD WOOD – must be cut out like a rotting cancer. Too many hidden agendas, too many favours and not a scintillar of truth, honesty or integrity.

Those who have been there for years and decades are part of the mismanagement and the rot that has set in.

Let’s not forget that “during the reign of terror” – The Labour party placed 100’s if not more of beancounters into the NHS – it was those ‘leadership controlled graduates’ – who started the rot. And while I am about it – the Tory opposition at the time were completely inept – because many saw and opportunity to make bucks out of the NHS cash cow. Guilt all round I say but you won’t get the dead tree press saying that. Hardly likely what with political tribalism alive and propagandising in the MSM.
