Former Colleague Reaction to Huhne Trial

Judging by this now deleted tweet by DECC minister Greg Barker, news of Chris Huhne’s trial has spread quickly around his old colleagues:

Huhne could have told Barker a thing or two about accidentally tweeting direct messages…

Mystery over ‘explosion’ at Iran’s Fordow nuclear site

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iran/9831282/Mystery-over-explosion-at-Irans-Fordow-nuclear-site.html

A report published on Right-wing news website WND on Friday, quoting a defected Iranian intelligence officer, claimed that a massive blast had ripped through the nuclear facility, buried deep within the guts of a large mountain.

The alleged blast was said to have erupted at 11.30am last Monday – on the eve of the Israeli election – partially destroyed the nuclear site and trapped 240 people underground. Tehran held Israel responsible, the report said.

Some loony eco chap said we can’t build a train line cuz of the badgers and foxes having their homes cut in two.

Now I ain’t in favour of this train line but has this very clever eco chappie not spotted that our country is covered in train lines and the badgers and foxes seem to do quite well out of them and even people seem to think what were monstrosities 150 years ago are now quaint cuttings and viaducts.

And as for pretending that our countryside is natural that is bonkers. 100% is shaped or managed by man even the remotest wildest moors and patchwork fields are not in the least bit natural.

      WHY WHY WHY???? says:

On PM Friday night. They were discussing Britain’s Energy Policy. Well it turns out that we do not have our own energy policy, it is an energy policy written by Brussels that we have to follow.

Actually it turns out that this EU energy policy that we have to follow by law is not actually followed by most RU countries but it is convenient for our loony green eco government to obey it as they can then blame all the windmills on the EU bogey man.

But Why? Why is a Sovereign nation’s energy policy written by an unelected dictatorship in Brussels and why are we letting them do it? And Why did Eddie Mair accept this EU diktat as reasonable?

A combined age of 118 and not a drop of Wisdom says:

Former cabinet minister Chris Huhne and his ex-wife are to stand trial next Monday over allegations she took speeding points for him so he could avoid prosecution.

The Lib Dem MP, 58, pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.

His former wife, Vicky Pryce, has previously pleaded not guilty to the same offence.

They were charged last year in relation to the alleged offence in 2003.

Mr Huhne resigned as energy and climate change secretary after he was charged. He remained as Liberal Democrat MP for Eastleigh.

The BBC’s Clive Coleman, at London’s Southwark Crown Court, said the charge was formally put to Mr Huhne during Monday’s hearing, to which he replied “Not guilty”.

Ms Pryce, 60, and Mr Huhne, who are both on bail, will go on trial at Southwark Crown Court next Monday.

Boris on his fellow Islingtonista Emily Thornberry:

“It was an entirely run-of-the-mill English townscape, with some straightforward words to go with it. There was no obvious insult, no abuse, no overt sneering. She might have got away with it entirely, had some alert blogger not spotted it. He instantly detected the coded message that Emily Thornberry was sending to all her right-on, bien-pensant, Labour-luvvie friends in Islington, or wherever else it is that they follow her on Twitter.”
