WATCH: David Ward Car Crash Sky “Jews” Interview

David Ward has gone rogue and just had a Mel Gibson moment live on Sky News:

“I’m accusing the Jews who did it,  [nervous laugh] so if you’re a Jew and you did not do it I’m not accusing you. I’m saying that those Jews who did that and continue to do it have not learned those lessons. If you are a Jew and you do not do those things and have never done those things then I am not criticising you.”

He goes on to say that he can think of no better day than Holocaust Memorial Day to raise these issues. A LibDem spokesman tells Guido “he is very much acting on his own”…

Here is how the story unfolded:

Sorry to be a pedant and I am sure I will be condemned in the most absolute way for asking it, but could someone outline what it is he has said wrong. I am sorry I just don’t get it. If someone could point it out then perhaps I will and will not therefore make the same mistake. PS it is that I agree with what he said but nor can I see what is so offensive about it.

        Jimmy says:

I think there are two factors here: Firstly, although traditionally fairly relaxed about racism, to be fair most righties (and there are exceptions) would accept that the holocaust may have been overdoing it a tad and there is a tendancy at times in rowing back to overcompensate occasionally; the second factor is that our increasingly diverse society has brought righties into contact with ethnic groups they hate even more, making jews seem comparatively quite tolerable.

          Mrs Crewe says:

What he said wrong….Mmmm it may come as a shock to you but “Jews” can be called people. As in “I’m not accusing those people who did it”. Further more unless one is a completly biased blinkered racist pig moron there is no way you can compare the systematic murdering of Jewish Gay and Disabled people (to name but a few) to the past and current problems is the Middle East.

          • Anonymous says:

The systematic ethnic cleansing of an indigenous people from their Land by violent and unethical means is pretty high up there in the crimes against humanity stakes. If all those MPs who are members of the various “…friends of ZIon” clubs can’t see that then they are ethically deficient scum themselves.

He’s assuming a moral and factual equivalence between the holocaust and the policy Israel has towards the Palestinians. He’s also describing Israelis as Jews which isn’t really a kosher (geddit!) remark to make. Before any rabid anti Semites go off on one think about it for a moment, do we describe British citizens, politicians or soldiers as Anglicans?

The modern preference appears to be for people who can talk non-stop rather than those who can engage their brains before they do so.

Of course the Israelis are fallible.

But the BBC is not, is it?

      Nor the Grauniad, is it?

      Nor David Ward, is he?

As for the Palestinians, well they can never, ever, ever be wrong, can they?

This could be carried on into a very long list but if you don’t get it by now, there is no point.

    • 40

I rather think he has. He thinks the oppression of the Palestinians is of the same order as the deliberate murdering of an entire race.

But then lefty rhetoric always goes over the top. A ‘freedom fighter’ blowing up a market place is ‘justified’ under some sort of lefty Red October rationalisation.
      The police shooting dead that same terrorist are fascist pigs propping up an uncaring dictatorship. {except in Cuba, Venezuela and Argentina where they believe the exact opposite is true.}

      • 93
        Anonymous says:

Except the Israelis would be incredibly happy if the Palestinian race were to disappear tomorrow and have no qualms about killing them, even young children. Gaza resembles nothing more than a massive concentration camp.

Surely oppression is wrong wherever it may be found and whoever may be perpetrating it.

        • 96

No. You make the same case as save the children in equating poverty of UK kids with those in Ethiopia. They are in no way comparable, except in the minds of political opponents.

There are degrees and shades of everything. Whatever the Israelix have done is as nothing compared to the holocaust. The casualties of all the sides in the conflict, including all the casualties from the three wars, suicide bombing and gunship attacks from 1948 to today, are LESS than the casualties already suffered in Syria in the last year.

To equate the Israelx with the nazis is to say British soldiers in Ireland were the same as knights Templar crusaders in the Middle Ages.

It’s just lazy, and probably wishful thinking to even begin to think they might be.

          • Anonymous says:

Yet they believe an invisible sky pixie gave their race that land and they have a right to evict the indigenous who are inferior. Does that ring a bell?

          • Frederick Gideon Threepwood says:

The problem is not all Israelis, just as it was never all Germans. The problem is their leadership. The comparison made is valid. Ariel Sharon was accused of war crimes similar to those of the Nazis in the official Israeli report on the Lebanese invasion.

How do you SC know better? what says you are better informed? have you researched thoroughly matters and evidence which have ‘come to light’ since the downing of Communism or is your comment purely from your lifetime of ‘possibly’ having been indoctrina.ted into one version of events as they have been portrayed since 1945?

I mentioned miscarriages of justice earlier today elsewhere – the point being

When new evidence of a crime does come to light years or decades after an event – the new evidence cannot be ignored. For “ignorance of the truth is NO EXCUSE”. Take huhne as an example.

the jobless rate in Spain hit 26 per cent at the end of last year – or 5.97 million – the highest figure since the mid-1970s.
More than 2,000 Spaniards a day joined the dole queue in the last three months of 2012 as the economy sank deeper into recession.

The crisis has been particularly painful for the young with around 60 per cent of Spaniards aged 16 to 24 who want a job unable to find work.
The misery has been echoed across Europe since the financial crisis struck and unemployment in the eurozone has risen by 2 million in the past 12 months to an all-time high of 18.8 million.

What was it that Peter Oborne implied in his recent article – oh yes 80% of elected MP’s are lobotomised so badly that they cannot think [Don't want to learn true history - it's too bothering for them] for themselves – they just run with their monied friends? Well I believe they are running out of time and friends.

To all the naysayers – “what if” and there is plenty of “new evidence” pointing to it – the figures have been manipulated, massaged, propagandised and ramped up beyond belief?

Let’s have [Highly impossible because of the cult of no you can't question it]an adult conversation about it – let’s not have knee-jerk reactionists – doing all the smearing for those behind them who do not really want to discuss it openly and transparently eh? [e.g. Climate Change Huh!]

Wow, Guido seems to think “the guilty Jews are guilty and the innocent ones are innocent” is some kind of inflammatory, controversial remark.

Please regain your ability to think properly Guido, your bizarre, dogmatic behaviour is kind of embarrassing to watch.

Free speech not "fear speech" says:

Well firstly this is a free speech issue. Are we saying this representative of the people isn’t allowed to express his opinions ? I don’t accept PC restrictions on free speech.

Secondly as a friend of Israel (at least the majority that hasn’t yet been hijacked by freeloading religious nutcases), I say there are issues to be addressed over Israeli treatment of Arabs. In many cases Israeli treatment of them would be considered a war crime if it had occurred to Bosnians and the aggressor was a Serb. That is just a statement of fact.

So overall, I would say, let him speak out freely, but let him be subjected to tough questioning – e.g. how the human rights record of Hamas gay-killers is far worse than anything than Israel has done.

Free speech not "fear speech" says:

Part of the problem here is the “Holocaust Memorial Day” – a wholly artificial construct foisted on British people a few years ago.

The total number of UK citizens who died in the Holocaust was something like 300 if I recall correctly. Horrible but no more horrible than (roughly) the number who died in 9-11 and – as far as I know – we don’t have an official 9-11 remembrance day.

Of course anyone of any sensibility recognises the appalling – immeasurable – tragedy of the Holocaust, perpetrated by the Nazi ideological movement (rather than the German people – since it included plenty of non-Germans who signed up to the Nazi plan).

But it was not our tragedy. To pretend it was is dishonest.

If we are to remember the Jews of mainland Europe, are we to remember the Armenians, the Darfurians, the people of Namibia exterminated by the Germans, the Aborigines of Australia, the Greeks massacred by Turks, the Native Americans of the USA, the natives of South America, the Tibetan people, the Christians of the Middle East…?

It was an extremely bad move to create this Holocaust Memorial Day which – unlike Remembrance Day – has little emotional pull for people in this country. And the whole enterprise has quickly become mired in dirty politics as we see with this guy’s ill-advised remarks.

You are correct but then this country is strangled by these PC morons. Actually if he said Israelis instead of Jews he would have been bang on correct.

No it is not a statement of fact. It is outrageously false.

It is Israel that started the pinpoint assassination techniques of terrorists now followed by all West that save thousand lives.
It was Israel that started using low explosive warheads in missiles to hit a car in middle of a street and only the car occupants die.
It was Israel that improved sights to more accurately identify occupants and improved precision.

A statement of fact is that if Israel followed the Laws of War and Geneva Convention many more Palestinians would have died.
For it to happen was enough that to every artillery/rocket fire from Gaza, Israel would have responded with counter battery fire like it happens in every war.
Or if it was standing still in war technology – like Syrian Army – but we know that a dead Palestinian only matters if Israel can be related to it.

Ralph Miliband on the English…

“The Englishman is a rabid nationalist. They are perhaps the most nationalist people in the world.”

Left on Left says:

The lefties are attacking because the panellist is a millionaire and lives in a London home worth upwards of two million. Someone had best tell them he’s called Ed Miliband.
