Rolls-Royce is to close its UK defence operations in Ansty, near Coventry.
The union Unite has blamed government defence cuts for the closure, which will mean 378 job losses.
The future of the company’s Ansty factory, with employs an estimated 800 people, is now uncertain.

The legal match kicked off at 12.00 noon and is being refereed by the Hon. Mr Justice Sweeney.
Mr Huh?e will be defended by John Kelsey-Fry, a very expensive ‘premier league’ lawyer who last year helped to clear former Saints manager Harry Rednapp of tax evasion charges and has also previously represented England footballer Steven Gerrard (this is where all the footie references are coming from).
Our MP’s former spouse has hired Clare “Two Brains” Montgomery to lead her team and the prosecution is headed by Andrew Edis QC – a barrister described as ‘formidable’ by the London Evening Standard.
The trial which is expected to last a week has been delayed and adjourned several times. It is understood Mr Huh?e’s team had mounted an unsuccessful legal challenge to dismiss the prosecution –Mr Huh?e has always strongly protested his innocence.
The pre- trial hearings were conducted under a gagging order to prevent press reporting on them as is the case for the trial starting today.
The most common reason for reporting restrictions are cases where it is accepted that the publication of details would be likely to jeopardise the defendant’s right to a fair trial.
Although Eastleigh News is in contact with someone attending the trial, we would be committing a criminal offence if we published any details.

I have known Chris Huhne for 165 years and believe him to be one of the most honest men to have ever drawn breath. He has worked selflessly for the community and Britain, nay the World, would be a much poorer place for his absence.
He has on occasions driven me and he never so much went at even half the speed limit. The idea that he should pervert the course of justice is so far from probability that it is a futile waste of the court’s time even to remotely consider the foolish prospect. The charge must have been brought by people with so little to do that they can only be playing a prank to alleviate their terminal boredom.

Am referring to the notion of a moral value system.
The muzzie patrol are attempting to enforce theirs, but are so far not causing any real harm. Their reaction to the denial imposed by liberals on their value system should be expressed in this way.
This is commendable.
Libertarian thinking is not about in or out, it is a little more complex. One key aspect which is non negotiable is: Do no harm.
One distinction between liberalism and libertarianism which has been horribly confused is the aspect of moral consequence of actions, and accepting responsibility for actions.
In this case the denial of the moral value system of the muzzies by amoral liberals is a greater harm than the steps taken by the muzzies to enforce their system.
Those on both sides who transgress and cause harm should take responsibility for their actions. The harm inflicted by muzzies will likely be obvious in the form of an assault, but the greater harm inflicted on them remains hidden until recognized.
If those the muzzies were targeting were not behaving in an amoral fashion then the arguments against the muzzie patrol would be much stronger and action could be legitimately taken.
A determination of right or wrong based on prejudicial perception is not a good starting point for responding to the actions as it will strengthen the muzzies case and likely lead to an escalation of their actions.
