Full Pollard Review into BBC Savile Cover-up
+’Chaos’ at BBC Management+
+Newsnight Bosses Given the Bullet+

  1. 1
    On OCD Meds says:

  2. 2
    Sandra in Accounts says:

“No evidence of a cover up”

Just a remakable set of coincidental circumstances and a self serving bunch of public sector troughers who happened to benefit enormously from suppressing the truth?

    Welcome to East Germany.

  3. 3
    the poor bloody taxpayer says:

    sue pollard?

  4. 4
    Sophie says:

    Murdoch exposed child sex offenders.

The BBC employed and protected them.

  5. 5
    Who says:

    Forgettable, utterly forgettable.

    Now then, about Jane Pilgrim.

    Well, Guido?

  6. 6

Ed told me: “I’ve read the whole thing in 2.3 minutes. Of course, I agree with everything in the report”.

  7. 7
    ibrahim says:

    go figure!

  8. 8
    Sarah D says:

How can anyone have any faith in any organisation that has Chris Patten at the helm?

No more TV tax from me – I am sick to death of the BBC elites contempt for the little people.

  9. 9
    ibrahim says:

Ralph Miliband was a child abuser. he brought up two of them to be socialists.

  10. 10
    Charles Darwin says:

On the origin of the MSM

  11. 11
    Operation Crossbow says:

Pollard is a total cover up.

  12. 12
politicians and the crosses they should be tied to says:

They did not find something they studiously tried and succeeded to avoid looking for, welcome to the age of the whitewash fake inquiries. Its a wonder they didnt try the climategate whitewash technique of interviewing no witnesses, gathering no evidence or even bothering to turn up, just a quick ‘you are of course fully innocent of everything’ question to the crooks and job done.

  13. 13
    Emmerdale says:

    Eric Pollard?

  14. 14
    george c says:

BBC is institutionally abusive. people join for life and will do nothing to upset the apple cart/gravy train. that means a culture of extreme deference. it is in these cultures that bullying and child abuse flourish.

the only way to stop this horrendous abuse is the suspension of the license fee and for the BBC to behave more like a business.

of course from the usual suspects we’ll hear ‘its ok now, used to be bad but not any more” – until the next time.

I’ve cancelled my direct debit. I’ll not condone child abuse by looking the other way, paying for it or supporting a culture that fosters it.

  15. 15
    Who says:

    Page 22:

“We have conducted detailed interviews with nineteen individuals involved, some of the them more than once.”

Jesus Christ, a fortune of our money spent and they can’t even publish error-free sentences.

  16. 16
    QED says:

The Police – Publicly funded and sucking at the taxpayer teat

The BBC – Publicly funded and sucking at the taxpayer teat

QED – Why they hate the tories

  17. 17
    Rupe says:

Stuff me sideways cobber! The guys at the top have survived. Great news!

  18. 18
Savile is just the tip of the iceberg says:

Never mind Jimmy Savile. What about the BBC declaring that the BBC AGW science is settled and there will be no voice of dissent on their airwaves.

  19. 19
    Nom Dom Nom 2 says:

Why ultimately does the taxpayer have to pay to have the whole saga whitewashed?

Would it not just be less expensive all round to just let everyone off?

  20. 20
He who no longer posts says:

What is a ciris (above) please? My mum wants one for Christmas.

  21. 21
    Sarah D says:

Pollards – the new name for Dulux One Coat Whitewash.

The scary thing is they expect the people to just accept that there is no culture of child molestors at the BBC – the evidence screams to the contrary.

Stop funding child m;lestors – stop paying the License Tax.

  22. 22
    Nom Dom Nom 2 says:

    Is it a Toyota?

  23. 23
    Beeb Watch says:

Looks like another Ex-BBC Radio 1 producer was arrested today by YewTree, arrest #8.

  24. 24
    Sarah D says:

I remind the poster that Cameron and the Bot George are taxing, spending and borrowing more than Gordon Brown.

Tories are the same party with the same fiscal insanity as Labour now.

  25. 25
    Operation Crossbow says:

Pollard will always be welcome back at the BBC now.

  26. 26
  27. 27
    Winnie the Pooh says:

Oh. the BBC have got the whitewash out again.

  28. 28
Huge Grunt, Whacked Off Spokesman says:

Everything in the Pollard report should be implemented, for the sake of Millie and Maddie we demand this is done now.

  29. 29
    Very Wealthy Windfarm Gentry says:

There’s no need for such distractions. We need to move forward and forget about needless debate on settled science.

  30. 30
    Rabbi Chaim Gunnar Kutsher-Dickov says:

Nu– unless it’s Neo attempting Yi*dd*ish (“tzuris”, trouble), I’d put my money on its being a typo for “crisis.”

  31. 31
    Jimmy says:

    What’s a ciris?

  32. 32
    Balls.E says:

It’s always unwise to speak out on a subject you self-evidently no nothing about.

  33. 33
    Anonymous says:

It is either a circus or a crisis. They both fit. Either way I think GF has invented a new word to describe UK institutions.

  34. 34
The LabLibCon are three factions of a single party says:

Anyone who bothered to watch PMQ’s, would be hard pressed to identify who were the socialists and which were conservative.

Both were dick measuring by bragging about how much more taxpayers money they would spend, than the other and what they were going to piss it away on.

  35. 35
    Intelligent Person says:

“Saturnalian license also permitted slaves to enjoy a pretence of disrespect for their masters, and exempted them from punishment”
We are currently in the Saturnalian festival period. Time to rise up and drop the pretence.
Incidentally, my post was first but the mods, for some reason, removed it. It merely pointed out that the cover up worked as other posters have since said.

  36. 36
    Anonymous says:

Does have a ring to it: To Pollard.

That is the cutting off of the top of an organization to encourage dense growth of ineffective management.

Absolutely necessary to avoid any of the management being singled out in the next inquiry into a cover-up and safe guard their lifestyles.

  37. 37
Alan Duncan MP 5 minutes ago says:

It’s not about the BBC, we must concentrate on the bigger picture, Jimmy Savile.

  38. 38
    Go get 'em Guidio says:

Just watched Pattern talking down to the press. What a self-serving arrogant tw*t he is He’s the sort that makes you want to smack them in the face

  39. 39
    Anonymous says:

It means a news organisation discovered to be totally inept at handling news.

  40. 40
When Are We Going To Get The REAL Culprits? says:

Me too. It’s the only way we can make ourselves heard above the spin.

  41. 41
    Anonymous says:

This is not a festival. This IS the end game.

In 100 years time they will not distinguish one year from the next but just remember it as the event that happened that led to the new life.

We hear about “preppers”. Their problem is that they think it will happen on the day the riots come. No, it will just be a long slow fall to lawless enclaves. Some will hold out longer, but others areas have already fallen. It is the selfish individual that is our enemy, not a mass rabble of rioters and looters.

This is our leaders decision because our leaders fear the resulting war if we were some how stronger than the rest. Instead the war comes daily to the unprotected weak. But that is fine as the leaders are the ones with the protection.

So our life in this country is determined by comparison to other countries. As long as we boom and bust in line with everyone else we will not put our head over the parapet. We will be safe from war as long as we are not the best or the worst. But they have the wrong enemy, the enemy is already here. It is of our own creation: the selfish individual.

  42. 42
    Management Consultant says:

No surprise that the BBC ‘management’ is in chaos.

One has only to look at the organisation chart to see why…far too many chiefs and no clear lines of responsibility. Reminiscent of the MoD……..or of what the West Coast balls up tells us about the DfT.

  43. 43
Bollocks to Getting a Pseudonym says:

Yep, I figured that when I read that the report said there was “no evidence of a cover-up” at the BBC, or words to that effect. Just another case of the ruling classes circling the wagons. I hope they don’t expect us to believe them.

  44. 44
Bollocks to Getting a Pseudonym says:

Shouldn’t Operation Yewtree be named Operation Catch-A-Nonce?

  45. 45
    Terrible But True says:

“Head of News Helen Boaden will be coming back to work tomorrow apparently…”

    Define ‘work’?

What she is deftly now stepping back inside to do certainly seems uniquely different to that perceived by most.

  46. 46

  47. 47
    Grandma Moses says:

The bloke on the panel said 2 million when asked how much it cost. Can we have a rebate?

  48. 48
    Grandma Moses says:

…not that I actually pay you understand – but free money is free money …

  49. 49
    Grandma Moses says:

Common purpose drones do not get shoved sideways – despite a potential change in job description/title

  50. 50
    crooked banks says:

Will this “new BBC culture” that was mentioned several times at Fatty’s press conference include the reintroduction of serious neutral newscasting instead of biased arse-licking left wing political opinion 24/7?

  51. 51
King Tvrd of Shit Mountain says:

The BBC should be closed down.

  52. 52
    NE Frontiersman says:

I’d be interested to know the identity of the nine ‘experts’ who said that there weren’t enough homosexuals in childrens’ TV.
Since there always have been a proportion (who? – I don’t care, NoMB) the report clearly intends that the sexuality of presenters (of all programmes, in fact) must be overt in future, and subject to quota. Whether this will lead to cunning heterosexuals making false claims in order to gain accelerated promotion, one can only speculate.
If in future we see Bear Grylls or Ray Mears skinning a moose while wearing pink high heels we may deduce that an element of gamesmanship is going on.

  53. 53
    NE Frontiersman says:

‘I’ve cancelled my direct debit'; me too. They don’t waste a second ringing you up! They’re polite enough when you say you’re not renewing, but point out that they may pay a visit to check. Am I correct in the belief that they have no right of entry? The scary red lettering on the next missive that informs you that you are ‘under inspection’ strongly implies that they do.

  54. 54
    Anonymous says:

They need a search warrant to enforce entry – and to everyone’s relief they would take a copper along, but they would need a fair bit of proof for this.

BTW There is absolutely no evidence that TV Detector Vans ever worked at all.

Anyone can wonder up your garden path – a thing called implied right of access, which you need to withdraw that right in writing so they can only look from the pavement in front of your house. If in any event they do come in and the set is any way tuned to TV channels that is proof enough – even if it hasn’t been turned on since the licence expired.

I told the bastards I had no money (is true) and couldn’t afford it so I stopped paying. I also cut the aerial lead to ensure the TV couldn’t work and I cancelled the Virgin cable service (kept the broadband though and now just watch the aggregators, watch what I want when I want to and no cost and its legit as its not live TV).

Rest assured by one thing, the Capita enforcement squad will try to trick you by saying things about the Eastenders’ plots, guess what, they only catch out unmarried mothers. When they are fined/imprisoned it just costs the state (you and me) even more.

The SOCIALIST LOVING BBC PROPAGANDA MACHINE MUST DIE and be replaced by subscription services or those paid by adverts.

Ask yourself, how much would you pay for Jonathan Ross.

  55. 55
    Anonymous says:

CUT OFF THE MONEY SUPPLY….can you hear me everybody…good

  56. 56
left wing, right wing, it's all the same bird! says:

no wonder MPs feel the need to chow down in the trough with their(our £) expenses,

    Helen Boaden’s ON £340,000 PA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    3.5 TIMES THE PM

    to produce shit!
