        Comedy Classic says:

I have to say that last Thursday’s edition of QT was one of the best I have seen for many a long day and well worth watching on i-player.

You had Owen Jones. Iain Duncan-Smith, Charles Kennedy, |Yvette Cooper and Deborah Meaden.

Meaden very wisely kept a low profile throughout although in one hilarious moment when answering a question(she was sitting next to IDS)and placing her hand on his arm said to him that she knew what he would say to her point to which he replied No she didn’t so she gave an embarrassed laugh and shut up(Not the Dragon’s Den is it pet ?). Cooper seemed to get herself tied in knots over prisoner voting by saying that the legislation needed to be proportionate and in the same breath that she would vote for a blanket ban. The avuncular David Dimbleby was baffled and tried to actually find out what Yvette actually meant but gave up after 5 minutes saying he was none the wiser(neither are the rest of us mate)Cooper then tugged at the heart strings with her story of the effects of Tory Housing Benefits Cuts regaling us with a story of a family huddled around a single bar fire in a bed and breakfast with their dinner on tray on their knees as at £35,000 gross pa(£26,00 pa net) not a single house was available to rent in London . IDS said that as his cuts weren’t due to come in until April 2013(5 months hence)that she must be thinking of when Labour was in government. Owen Jones kept going off question so many times almost achieving the impossible of both upsetting the J&*w$$ish and A%8rab contingent if the Audience over Palestine and accusing IDS of “murder of the disabled”. Towards the end some woman at the back started shouting out “You have blood on your hands” but unfortunately mistimed her rant when Charles Kennedy was talking. Dimbleby got flustered and started shouting back at the woman to be quiet and she replied that he was stopping free speech to which Kennedy replied he had been accused of many things but NOT that. In the final 2 minutes IDS came perilouslly close to jumping on the desk and giving Owen Jones a well placed punch in the mouth but Dimbleby stopped Jones rant by saying “I think we’ve all heard enough Owen!” and then jocularly saying they’d run out of time and that was always the case when things were getting lively !!! A bit of an understatement David.

      BBC says:

As far as Britain’s membership and relationship with the EU is concerned the science is settled and we see no reason to add any regular debate on this issue in our programming schedule.
I appreciate that millions of licence fee payers may have concerns about the EU and even vote for UKIP but we don’t think that their views reflect those held by the majority of us at the BBC.
Thankfully because of the unique way the BBC is funded,we are able to ignore the concerns of this large percentage of our customer base without fear of losing revenue.
Anyway must dash I’m doing a report on how Press Barons have skewed the political landscape of Britain.

      Yours sincerely,

See, you could have made it look like you were being decent, and that you actually had a human emotion or two, by bemoaning the children’s being taken away from their foster home. We might not have believed you, and you might have come across as an insincere opportunistic bandwagoneer, but there still would have been room for doubt, and we might have reproved ourselves for thinking so harshly about you. “Farage is a snake oil salesman, but a very good one. His supposed anti-immigration stance is all smoke and mirrors, as is his carefully cultivated image as a ‘man of the people’. The truth is that UKIP is a pro-immigration party that exists to lobby for the interests of the City of London.”
