There is no doubt that the children removed from the foster care of a UKIP supporting couple are just the latest victims of the culture war being waged by so-called “progressives”. All these policies are part and parcel of a progressive imperative stemming from a mindset which understands consciously or unconsciously that the traditional family is the fundamental building block of societies which are incompatible with progressive values. Today’s progressives have changed their language not their essential antagonism to the family.
How is this relevant to the UKIP foster parents having the children in their care removed? Rotherham Social Services said “We would not have placed these children with you had we known you were members of UKP because it wouldn’t have been the right cultural match.” If the implicitly small ‘c’ conservative nature of a family antagonises progressives, how much more horrifying for them are parents openly opposed to progressive values. Joyce Thacker, who had a car-crash interview on the Today programme this morning, is the council’s Strategic Director of Children and Young People’s Services. Thacker is yet another graduate of the Common Purpose organisation which pursues a “we know best” Fabian-style progressive agenda in the public sector. She was a project advisor for a pilot programme, run by Common Purpose, that was concerned with diversity issues in the West Yorkshire area. Something tells Guido she has an axe to grind in this and is not a neutral public servant…

It is more than just councils. Look at every body that the government has described as “arms length”. All it means is that the government refuses to govern, and has relinquished control to the courts. In other words there are no checks and balances.
The courts are not available to the average person, especially with regard to controlling public functions. Look at the recent statement on Judicial reviews. Even if they could be afforded they are now deemed unrequired and a waste of time by this government.
Removing both democratic, and legal controls, of these organizations just breeds extremism. The result is that they now allow services only to those of the same political ideals as themselves.
In our case, we just simple disagreed with a public body, and without any use of the courts they removed the use of that service. Sadly time proved us correct with tragic results. Now we are threatened with solicitors letter when we disclosed the issues to others.
We know how that goes, don’t we? One minute you’re running a “baby mill” of a failed system, the next minute they’re filling you full of lead.

I couldn’t help laughing out loud the other day when they told me they were getting pissed off with social services interfering too much and telling them in the minute detail how they should be bringing them up.

What worries me about councils is the vast range of laws they have at their disposal that they use with seemingly impunity.

Could UKIP do well in Rotherham? Until today the most energetic campaigning was being done by Respect. The thing is though only 5.7% of Rotherham’s Inhabitants were classed as Asian in the last census. Even if they all decide to vote Respect, there aren’t enough of them to make a significant difference. In Bradford West, a lot of the non-Muslims voted for Respect as they saw them as the only anti-establishment party to stand a chance against Labour. I’m pretty sure, this won’t be the case with Respect, who will do well and steal most of the Muslim vote from Labour.
Mrs Thacker has provided UKIP with a large amount of publicity connected to Rotherham in the last 24 hours that could provide possible momentum for next Thursday especially if this row runs and runs. Labour in Rotherham seem to be near to collapse, with most of the local party refusing to go on the stump for their candidate due to said candidate not being local. This could be UKIPs best opportunity yet to win a by-election (or at least until the Chris Huhne reaches its climax and we find out if there’s a by-election in Eastleigh.

According to various media sources the story gets worse(if it actually could get worse)as snippets start to surface. The children all white under 10(the youngest under 6 months)are allegedly of Polish ethnicity. The couple have been on Rotherham Children Services list of approved Foster parents for 7 years. The male is in the naval reserve and the female is a trained nursery nurse. They have successfully fostered several children for Rotherham Children Services who speak highly of them and would foster children with them again(some debate about this as I have also seen reports saying they have been struck off list of registered foster parents by Rotherham Childrens Services) The female told sources that she actively encouraged the children to celebrate their ethnicity and encouraged them to speak their native language and to teach a her a few words too. They are NOT racist and have NEVER raised any doubts or prejudice about the children being of different ethnic background and actively embraced multicultural diversity. However in line with many thousands of people in the UK they support UKIP a legitimate and legal mainstream political party(they have never sought to impose their views on the children) and agree with the UK re-establishing immigration control(as many other countries around the world)and for the UK to have more say in its own affairs without interference from Europe There has never been any question raised until recently that their political affiliations or voting intentions in any way debarred them from being foster parents…if THIS is true and I can’t verify the truth of all the above as it may just be speculation/hype on the part of media etc then Thacker is toast and Rotherham Childrens Services have a huge problem of credibility and have to prove they have not contravened Art 9 & 14 of Human Rights Act and the Equality Act . In fact the two people may have an actionable case against the council for discrimination on the grounds of political beliefs

Their vacated positions need to be re-assessed. Most civil service posts are non-jobs and shouldn’t be re-advertised. Those who held non-job positions should be prosecuted and forced to hand back every penny they ever ‘earned’ whilst in those non-jobs. Imprison those who fail to pay.
Every applicant for the few civil service posts that aren’t non-jobs will need to be vetted. Any applicant who is a member of a union or the Labour Party should have their application put in the bin and be charged a £5000 “putting the CV in the bin” charge.

Nothing that public bodies do these days surprises me in the least. I was sacked by Leeds City Council back in August for the following vague reason:
“the council has concluded that your behaviours and values are so different from the council’s values, that this is a fundamental breach of your employment contract.”
I can only conclude that my human rights work opposing sharia law with the International Civil Liberties Alliance represented the values that were so different.

If this is not policy then will the person(s) responsible be subject to disciplinary action in this clear case of discrimination? While at work I was completely impartial but this Rotherham case seems to indicate that senior officials are not able to leave their politics at the door. I still do not know the exact reasons for being sacked just the vague reason mentioned above.
There really needs to be a national inquiry into abuses of power in the public sector!

I have met Joyce Thacker on a few occasions, whilst she was head of Bradford youth service. Hi all the talk of Kommon Porpoise..at last!. I came accross these Communazis some years ago when no one would listen or believe what was happening in local councils. Bullying, intimidation, barefaced lies and endless witchunts against anyone who stood in their way or dared to do their job properly, especially heterosexual males who were the favourite targets. (Porpoise recruits mainly lesbians and those who have something to hide sexually)
Just as the Nazis and Communists did, the ‘Porpoise headhunts and recruits the misfits within organisations, those who have a general angst against normality, and elevates them to positions of power under the guise of “leadership” which plays to their personal vanity and makes them carry out the orders from above without any conscience-useful idiots. The attributes of true leadership, such as leading by example, respect and altruism wont be found anywhere near Kommon Porpoise people.
I resigned a 15 year post within local authority after witnessing serial bullying, ganging up and cover ups (in a supposedly “caring” environment!!), and when I eventually blew the whistle I was let down by both the council personnel departments and Union representatives that had evidently been got at by the spiders webb. Subsequent successful job interviews where I had been offered a post resulted in mysterious letters some weeks later informing me that I wasnt been taken on.
Both my parents were ex services and fought in the second world war against fascism, and towards the end sadly realised that the country was becoming a dictatorship run by faceless quangos. I now have a son who is of army recruiting age, and I will do all I can to prevent him joining up, wheres the point? fighting and dying in some God forsaken land for corporate interests while the country is being dismantled by a treasonous and perverse fifth column at home.
And as a final point, I see UKIP being branded as the new BNP (whatever happened to them?) by the media, and the danger is that they are just another “gatekeeper controled opposition” party like Mr Griffins. To clear this country up and cut out the very substantial rot is way past party politics, and sadly we know that revolutions are nothing more than Hegelian dialect.

I stuck my neck out after witnessing at least 5 investigations into a particular ” teflon leaders” activities come to nothing, and when they tried to get me on side to frame a very able and experienced colleague whos’s face didnt fit, I had two options, well three-resign (which I did eventually with no finacial recompense) make a complaint in the knowledge that previous investigations had been worthless, or go against my morals and belief system and play the porpoise game and side with them-no way.
As for the stalking regs, well as anyone who has worked in local authorities will tell you, theres not a wall that doesnt have a poster and policy about whistleblowing, harrasment or bad practice, which no doubt cost much ratepayers money to have produced, but they are meaningless when those that lead beyond authority do just that.

The services provided by local government need to be strictly defined and staff levels/salaries should reflect the definition. The scope of local government needs to be restricted and monitored by a national audit body.
I worked in the children’s service department of a neighbouring LA for 3 weeks on a temp’ contract. I was expecting it all to be Lefty and right on. But on the whole they weren’t too different from the HR bods I knew. Yes there were a handful of Lefties but most of them were more interested in shopping. clothes, reality TV, shagging (mostly the partners of others) etc. Any political dogma which was trotted out was done sub-consciously and most paid lip service to it. Some were homophobic and racist at times when they could get away with it. The fact that were detached from the ideas they preached and indeed acted contrarily against it was most worrying.

I would much prefer that heterosexuals have the ability to enter into civil partnerships thus those of us who have no interest in having our relationships seen in the political light that marriage is, can still demonstrate our commitment to another.
Surely that’s the best solution. Extend civil partnerships and then leave marriage for those who want it.
