Coming from a party whose internet offerings are almost exclusively limited to the most pitiful shilling and lines-to-take-distributing, that sounds a tad empty.

Honourable exceptions include Dan Hodges, but you probably hate him to your core, don’t you? Quitter!

Also coming from a party whose only policy ideas come from long-dead conservative politicians, it sounds desperate.

The UK neo nuts ( guido and co ) are aware that backing Mitt would only add to their current woes…so we get the silent treatment.

Moussa, as much as it pains me to even bother replying to a tourette’s typist, Romney isn’t going to win, so don’t worry.

You have been told – here – on Guido’s forum, by a Tory voter, that Obama will win, unless he cocks it up. The race is his to lose.

You need to get out more. .Really.

It has certainly done for Britain. How is the country expected to get out of the economic mess left by Labour when anybody who is successful in their job will be unmercilessly pilloried? Instead of knocking the wealth creators we should be applauding them – but watching them like hawks all the same. That’s the job the state should be doing and should have been doing under Labour, especially with regard to banks and the press.

      Strict liability contempt

Under the Contempt of Court Act 1981 it is criminal contempt of court to publish anything which creates a real risk that the course of justice in proceedings may be seriously impaired. It only applies where proceedings are active, and the Attorney General has issued guidance as to when he believes this to be the case, and there is also statutory guidance. The clause prevents the newspapers and media from publishing material that is too extreme or sensationalist about a criminal case until the trial is over and the jury has given its verdict.

I’ll bet that he’s arguing that since this case has already been so well reported in the media he has no hope of finding an impartial jury untainted by meeja ‘speculation’ and therefore that his case be dismissed.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the judge agrees.
