Tom Harris bemoans the public’s attitude to politicians…
“Mr Oborne echoes the lazy, anti-politics whine we hear so often these days, all based on the absurd notion that politicians were once loved and only fell out of public favour during the expenses scandal. He should take a walk to the Strangers’ Bar. But not to sup with the patrons he seems to despise so much, dearie me, no; he should instead look at the paintings on the corridor outside the bar, which depict the devastating fire which consumed most of the Palace in 1834. And he should reflect on the fact that on that dramatic night, as the Commons went up in flames, a crowd gathered on the South Bank to clap and cheer.”

The thing that Dave needs to work out is which group is more likely to vote Conservative. Mad swivel-eyed loons or mad homosexuals wishing to get married.

Girls’ school.
The apostrophe is a gonner
Save the adverb
The BBC’s in-house nonce.
Jim’ll fuck it.
Given all of these digusting revelations about Saville seems very strange how the heirarchy of BBC have nothing to say
Chairman of BBC (dis)Trust has said NOTHING
The New Director General has said NOTHING
The Old Director General has said NOTHING
What are they hiding, who knew what Saville was really up to & When…………
Will a full public enquiry drag all of the truth out of Al-Beeb ?
Look at the harissment Al-Beeb go to if they suspect you don’t have a
TV licence but a resident in-house pedo it seems thats OK & is just sweep
that under the carpet.
With a handshake here & there to ensure nothing gets out…….
They hold people to account dontcha know.
However, only OTHER people.
It’s what makes them so… ‘unique’.
Classic case of Noble Cause corruption. Jim was good for the ratings so the end justifies the means.
He’s dead btw- posting this tripe means diddly squat.
There were rumours going round for years about JS but I like others assumed his proclivity was necrophillia.
that too.
See the Al-Beeb Maggots are now creeping out & posting, they really must be getting worried that stone they hide under is going to be lifted up & everyone can see them
for what they are………
‘He’s dead btw- posting this tripe means diddly squat.’
–
Interesting precedent.
Do you think that’s one the BBC’s finest investigative journos and inquisitors operate, on the basis that whatever can be learned from history dies with a person?
I can see why quite a few in the upper echelons would and appear to be hoping this latest extra standard they grant themselves can be added to the ‘questions won’t be answered’ policy, but they do rather come across as arrogant, navel-gazing hypocrites in so doing.
How’s about the phrase ‘post mortem’, guys’n'gals?
Labour can screw a Nation but JS, now that is a different matter
It is a shame that your blog is making so much about this. Even if the allegations have substance – which they may or may not – what is your angle? Is it that the BBC is guilty of a cover up? The BBC has its good and bad points, but I doubt many folk will come to that conclusion…
‘I doubt many folk will come to that conclusion…’
—
Be neat to see any hapless pol or CEO under interrogation by a Paxo or Humphrys try that one to gun for the ‘moving on’ vote when so many questions are being asked and a bunch of folk are invoking a policy of schtum in hope of it all blowing over. Which it well might, without the power of a £4Bpa media monopoly pushing one of its pet agendas week in and week out…. for some reason.
Odd to note another ex-BBC employee has chipped in; this time Michael Crick.
I wonder what his ‘angle’ is?
The defences and excuses being put up that no one has a right to ask or know what the heck is going on is not I suspect unfamiliar to many who have had occasion to ‘deal’ with BBC ‘We asked ourselves and we found we get it about right 110% of the time’ Complaints, ECU or…[composes self from corpsing] the ‘Trust’.
So it’s more of a shame some seem to have very variable notions on when journalistic rigour should be applied… and when not.
So let’s just forget all those kids were abused, eh?
Out of the same loony attention-seeking mould as his friend Glitter, whose paedohpilia was nothing wrong according to JS.
The BBC are a disgrace. Too many victims have come forward for this to be untrue. The BBC must have had their suspicions and did nothing about it. Disgraceful.
If you are Gary Glitter you are pilloried for it (cause he was a scary glam rocker) but if you are a “cuddly” BBC presenter that same thing is over-looked.
but he worked for the BBC, the ends justify the means.
I hated girls’ schools, they ignored me, they all pulled their skirts lower when I visited.
The old perv was blatantly taking the piss at this stage.
