Guido has hinted at the coming BBC Jimmy Savile cover up scandal previously, and things are certainly hotting up today. The final edit has just been made of an explosive new documentary alleging that Savile sexually abused up to ten girls as young as thirteen while at the height of his fame. On BBC property.
As Guido reported in February it is claimed Savile molested underage girls in hospitals, schools and BBC studios, allegedly giving his victims seats in the audience in return for sexual favours. The spotlight will now fall on what the BBC knew and when, why a Newsnight report containing the allegations was mysteriously spiked and why they failed to inform the police about the evidence they had uncovered. New York Times president Mark Thompson, then the BBC Director General, has some very difficult questions to answer…

I do not believe Jimmy Saville abused any young girls, he could not have as he was a good member of the Lodge. With regards to young Megan being found in France, it is a happy day and I am pleased to announce, that, should her parents request it, I will be happy to provide some of my special one to one holistic counselling, which should greatly help the poor girl. I doubt its veracity too but Merton saying its untrue means nothing.
If substantiated (something the ‘sources say’ BBC seems none to bothered with often), this does not suggest a good run for the country’s most trusted media monopoly.
What with showing a distinct lack on interest in some less than palatable things for PC reasons, to it would appear providing, at best, poorly supervised venues.
Now, who holds them to account again?
I know they feel that only they ask the questions, but given they are not above answering such things, it would be nice if they could shake off the odd notion they are uniquely immune for such things.

Jesus so the BBC did some reporting on a serious story ? Send them to Jersey they are desperately needed here. The BBC have gone mostly underground and cannot be bothered to investigate anything in any depth, fetes and flower shows possibly.They have been given several reports official factual reports in the last three years to add fairness and a degree of balance, but never used them.
Maybe they are in bed with the local Government because they are certainly not earning the public licence fee by being professional and impartial and reporting properly. Waste of space and licence fee.

Jimmy Savile went to Jersey often, where he would visit certain children’s homes. Until the lid began to be ripped off in 2007, Jersey was known up & down the country as a ‘soft-touch’ for child abusers. That’s a lot of very, very bad history – that a lot of people, including some in authority in Jersey – knew about for a long time. Not really a surprise, then, that the local ‘Establishment’ illegally suspended Jersey’s Police Chief in November 2008. The historic child abuse investigations had to be discredited somehow.
I won’t here a word against Jersey. It’s a first-rate haven for tax evasion and pederasts!

As a (male) survivor of childhood sexual abuse I can assure you that ‘the system’ will always close round to protect the abusers, who are extremely organised. I found this both in 1974, when I was deeply in trouble at school, and 2008 when I was trying to protect another generation of children who I knew to be in contact with a (now) man who abused me and others in the 70s. On the first occasion both school and police combined to brush over the institutionalised abuse (public boarding school – not my choice before you ask) and on the second, the police completely bungled the case at a critical moment just when I was getting confident enough to enter the fray once more.
Believe me, sexual abuse of children is everywhere; Rochdale, the Catholic Church, Public Schools (thank you (not) Stephen Fry for making such a witty subject), Boys Clubs, Scout Troops, Sports Clubs. And now the BBC? Doesn’t surpise me, at all.
Given that he was rumored to have been a nonce for years you have to ask yourselves who’s been covering up for him.
As for Jersey, a cesspit of nonces.

I remember reading somewhere (think it might have been one of John Simpson’s books) where the author wrote about rumours circulating in the bbc about a well known tv presenter who had a reputation for interfering with kids. Maybe this is the story he was referring to.
So if this has been known for some time by various BBC insiders, I guess it’s just a matter of time before the story (including any coverup scandal ) gets out.

Yes, it is usual that people come out of the woodwork about such things – especially if the press pay for the story.. or perhaps they did and no one dared to carry it….
Who would believe them? They’d be written off as fantasists and publicity-seekers, because how could they have proved it at the time, let alone 30yrs later.

This has been known about for years and every time it got too close to call the media pimped in with stories about Saville’s sexual antics with women while he was on the road. The same with Paul Gadd (that’s Gary Glitter to you) as soon as a nasty smell hit the rumour mill out would pop stories about Gadd’s sexual exploits,with grown up women, on the road. If my memory serves there was often an off duty policewoman cited as a casual lover (this I believe was in both Gaddand & Saville’s case). Someone needs to shake the dust off those 70′s and 80′s micro fiche.

Bill Cotton would not have been alone at the BBC in being indiscreet about Savile. Paul Gambacini has been vitriolic in public about Jimmy Savile’s alleged sexual activities with children. His stories about him include children’s hospitals as locations.
Well the BBC really have a problem. They’ve spent all week saying the abuse of white children in Rochdale by Pakistani men was just child abuse with no racial motive what so ever. Then before the week’s out an aryan look a like has been at it in their head office with white children and they’ve covered it up. What have they got against white people?
