As far as i can see, although there are many people who are all too eager to be in positions of power and influence, there are very few, of any political persuasion, who are even half fit for the job.

I said here yesterday …Charles Moore is showing signs of becoming one of the greats….

Possibly as I was writing the above he was writing this piece which only serves to reinforce my view.

One of those occasions where I almost wish the rolls were reversed…

Schrody – you also mentioned Phillips of the D **il – she ought to read the Voltaire piece that’s been all over some blogs here and stop using her “twisted rhetoric to spin the truth according to her”.

N.B. She slapped down all and sundry a couple of years ago about the 200 year anniversary of slavery being abolished – yet it doesn’t stop her promoting her favourite subject at every given chance.

When you cut away her rhetoric – there’s nothing but pure spin and deception.

Since I am following from a distance and my grandparents had the good taste to choose BC, Canada before WW I, I’ll take Schrödinger’s kitty seriously.

Cameron’s in a bit of a jam. That’s probably as close as he’ll get.

      Dave is a Conservative

Just look at how he follows the example of Disraeli and Salisbury in propping up a failed multi-national superstate at the expense of Britain
