Guido was pleased to see The Sun had jumped on board his campaign against the MPs’ food and drinks subsidy yesterday. David Wooding informed his readers: “a typical meal — rib-eye steak with hand-cut chips and Béarnaise sauce — costs two quid — £7.80, less a taxpayers’ subsidy of £5.92“. Now where on earth could have got those convenient figures?
