Green Leadership Candidate Waves Nazi Flag

One of the favourites to replace Caroline Lucas as the Green Party leader appears to be a Nazi sympathiser. Pippa Bartolotti was pictured raising the flag of the Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party, a fascist organisation whose members give the Hitler salute, use a swastika as their emblem and base their party anthem on ‘Deutschland, Deutschland über alles’. Well Hitler was a green…

The record is replete with ex ministers being woken by the Maximum Imbecile at 3am to hash out some tiny detail. The record also shows that while he was obsessing about these tiny details he totally lost sight of the fact that he was, from 2001/2 onwards, running 2%, 3%, 4% deficits through a ‘boom’. Which is why, when all the economic lunacy finally caught up with him we ended up with the deepest, longest recession in the western world. And the smallest ‘stimulus’ package because, as Liam Byrne reminded us when he mocked the nation… ‘there’s no money left’.l

‘Gordon Brown has now contradicted both Rupert Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks sworn evidence to inquiry #leveson’

Maybe Norm would like to run the logic projection of that claim by his fellow BBC colleague, Andrew Neil?

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2014548/Nick-Clegg-accuses-Gordon-Brown-rewriting-history-Murdoch-empire-relationship.html

“BBC presenter Andrew Neil, a former Sunday Times editor, said Mr Brown had vowed revenge against Rupert Murdoch, telling the media mogul: ‘I will destroy you.'”

Mr. Brown contradicted that too… but the BBC seems oddly less keen to hold that powerful disconnect to account.

Why? Not unique enough. Or too unique?

The one where he was the most loved and successful prime minister ever. Who only left office, despite pleas from the electorate to remain indefinitely,
because he had already saved the banks, the nation, and even the planet.

This, remember, is the man who was delighted to get a judge to rule that his own manifesto was ‘not subject to legitimate expectation’. This too is the man who destroyed the UK economy but had Murdoch and the BBC pin it all on America. And the banks. The press even commented that Brown had a visible spring in his step during the banking crisis’. As if he relished the challenge of being in the limelight.

He is the OJ Simpson of British politics. Standing arms aloft on the courthouse steps having got his jury at the BBC and Murdoch’s tame (at the time) newspapers to find him innocent.

As far as he’s concerned he has carte blanche to lie his head off.

          So he does.

Brown could have authorised loans from the BoE on the q.t. while the UK banks worked through their short-term funding problems. Just like many other Europ*ean countries have done.

Instead he chose to pin the blame for his policy failure on the banks (and America) and persist with the fiction that national prosperity is simply a matter of printing and borrowing our way to ‘growth’. Occasionally folk query what the fuck Peston was doing causing a run on Northern Rock and where he got his information from. As soon as you realise that the UK government could have shut him down in a heartbeat with a D-notice to preserve the integrity of the financial sector/national security grounds then it becomes obvious that he (Peston) was ordered from the top to break this story in order to divert attention away from the Maximum Imbecile’s disastrous economic policy.

Then, when you find out that Lloyds was coerced to ‘merge’ with HBoS in order to snare another bank in the mess and so divert attention away from the fact that it was actually the two Scottish banks that had got themselves in trouble and, further, to create the meme that the ‘entire’ banking sector (well – three out of the five main ones is almost the entire sector innit?) was bailed out.

It’s blindingly obvious to anybody that Brown realised back in 2007 that his borrow-and-squander ‘miracle economy’ was about to collapse and spent the entire year making sure that it was the banks that got the blame. No wonder he was laughing his fucking head off when Cameron agreed to match the Imbecile’s spending plans. For almost ten years T*ry leaders had been warning of the Imbecile’s borrow-and-squander madness and then, just as they’re about to be proven right Cameron, for political advantage (or possibly because he really is that fucking stupid) pledged to match Brown’s insanity.

It’s enough to make grown men weep.

Heart in the right place. The ends justify the means. But is first to condemn a spelling mistake by the opposition as if it was an act of treason.

“Pippa Bartolotti: Thank you Ed for giving me the opportinuty to explain.

At the time the photo was taken, I was travelling in an overland convoy taking aid to the people of Gaza. Mubarak was firmly in power in Egypt and Syria was a beautiful and peaceful land. I was an ordinary Green Party member at the time. We passed through Syria – our penultimate stop. At the welcoming party, which I must say was wondrous in its generosity, I was given this flag. I of course asked its meaning, and the bearer stated that it was a secular socialist party, which seems fair enough. Later I looked it up on the internet to discover its roots and meaning, a description of which is given here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_Social_Nationalist_Party

I have not discovered any information leading me to believe that this is an anti-semitic party, although it seems to me that any Nationalist movement has at its heart the prosperity of its nationals. Here I believe we can include hundreds of movements both at home in Scotland and Wales, and abroad we can cover the full spectrum, Likud is no exception. (“The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values” – Likud Charter)

I myself am from jewish stock, and as such have been brought up on the holocaust. My keen interest in human rights, however, compels me to work for the human rights of a person no matter their race or creed. In this context I travelled to Gaza to see for myself the suffering, and to bring some small tokens of assistance. The suffering I must add was, and continues to be, great. One cannot possibly know until one takes the trouble to visit.

The flag in question was given to me in friendship, with the understanding that it was a secular and socialist party – as are the Greens. Any details beyond that were not known to me at the time.”
