Lord Ahmed willingness to offer $10 million for Blair & Dubya…

“America has just said that they will give a reward of $10m to anyone who arrests or hands over Hafiz Saeed. I am saying that even if I have to beg in Haripur, Pakistan, the US or Britain. Even if I have to beg I am willing to raise and offer £10 million so that George W Bush and Tony Blair can be brought to the International Court of Justice on war crimes charges. Even if I have to sell my house I am ready to do it. The thing is that, if they are talking sensibly then I too am talking sensibly. The US has put pressure on Pakistan. To release this pressure I am are saying this. But the thing is, a political move should be countered with a political move.”

woooops guess he’ll be extradited to the US to stand trial under anti-terror laws , don’t think too many would weep for him if he was sent there

      One law for them says:

Yep if these comments are accurately reported then he has commited a criminal offence under incitement as covered by the anti terrorist legislation.
He has threatened the American President.

“To release this pressure I am ARE saying this”
Seems to me the transcript is not accurate or he is speaking pidgin English.
The BBC states Obama and Bush not Blair and Bush – who is correct or are they both wrong? Personally I hope they recorded his diatribe and prove he said it but there again the Labour Party let him stay in the party after a criminal driving act, so his money is more important to them than any ethical content.

Some Geezer wot knows how the Yanks would prefer to handle this says:

Naahh. He’ll be on some “humanitarian mission” in the Northwest Tribal Region at just the same time a drone will be overhead, searching for “another” “high-value target” –”OOOPS!”

Wasn’t ‘Lord’ Ahmed offering bounties for Bush and Saint Barry (pbuh) previously?

      Infuriated of West Mids says:

That’s what I’d heard too. St. Barry of O’bama seems to be absent from this. And, actually, I’d have to say that I would love to see Blair fairly tried for war crimes.

    Hamish Macbeth says:

Lets send Lord Ahmed to America instead of Christopher Tappin and Richard ODwyer….

    Seems a fair swop !!

Tony Blair on trial for war crimes? If he wants to start a fund, I’ll donate a tenner.

There’s £50 if he goes after Geoff Hoon, Jack Straw and Charlie Falconer too.

      On the commute in says:

      Totally agree!

I don’t think it’s actually that bad, and threatening a bounty for a Human Rights / War Crimes trial is very different to a bounty for death or detainment without trial outside the Geneva Convention a la Gitmo.

Slow news day? How many other peers and MPs have called Blair a war criminal?

Ahmed is a Hunt mind, who killed an innocent so he could send a text so I’m happy to see him squirm.

Absolutely fine by me! Throw Jack Straw in as well. Mind you, he must be feeling the chill breath of Justice on the back of his neck now anyway.

Isn’t it possible Baron Ahmed’s words were taken out of context? Happens all the time to me…

Lord Ahmed killed someone while texting and driving. He only served 16 days in prison. says:

I thought his bounty was on Obama, not Bush. Anyway, the more essential point is that this cretin actually seems concerned about the welfare of a terrorist, hence his indignation at the US government’s bounty. Perhaps Ahmed should put his money where his mouth is and jet off to Pákistan to protect this terrorist whom he feels so sorry for.

Cathy Jamieson MP, Labour’s Shadow Treasury minister, commenting on Treasury analysis of the economic impact of tax changes…

“If the Treasury is looking at the economic impact of tax changes, then surely it should examine the impact of the rise in VAT and cuts to tax credits? George Osborne’s £12 billion VAT rise knocked confidence, helped to choke off the recovery and has cost families £1,350 over the last three years.”
