How many more times…the DPP will NOT proceed with the case on the grounds of “Not in the public interest” and drop it …Huhne’s position in the Cabinet is perfectly secure…Clegg daren’t sack him and Cameron can’t because under the Coalition Agreement only Clegg can sack LibDem Ministers…any speculation is totally pointless

      Handycock, Crime Boss, Portsmouth says:

I agree, that happened with me during a Trial of a Tory Councillor, that I set up, for corruption, so that we LibDems would get re-elected in Portsmouth. When it became clear during the trial that it was a set up and my ‘boys’ were involved in it, a submission was made by the police and the CPS to prosecute me and two others for perverting the course of justice. It went all the way to the Attorney General in the last government, who refused to prosecute.

    Well it's a thought says:

Can’t we just tie him to one of his “friendly” windmills ,the ones that are blotting out the lovely sea views, I think one on the East Hoyle sandbanks would be a good bet, he would then be able to have a nice view of Llandudno when he’s upright.

      Airey Belvoir says:

Strap him to one just above the waterline at low water, so he can contemplate his many follies and crimes as the tide slowly approaches his head.

    The Iron Lady says:

“Watch your thoughts for they become words, watch your words for they become actions, watch your actions for they become your character, and watch your character for it becomes your destiny.” Mrs Thatcher.

Who else since has understood the responsibilities of leadership better than her? Certainly not the pygmies who’ve followed her.

  21. 35
    Mark Garnier says:

Arseholes like Huhne are needed in Government as poster boys to remind us of the coalition’s fully detached and sanctimonious attitude in wasting our money for political gain in implementing faddy schemes to mollify their particular brand of loony.
    Huhne is damaged goods.
It suits Cameron for him to remain since his continued presence weakens Clegg.

Any chance the moderation on this site will get fixed soon? It’s just like Ed Miliband, useless.
Huhne is a pompous loud mouthed tosser. But where is the proof of his guilt?

    • 87
      Reason for the delay says:

Such proof is currently with the CPS. Think about it, if there was no proof they would have dropped the case yonks ago. The fact that they havent clearly indicates there is indeed a case to answer. They are working out how they can drop it in these circumstances.

  29. 52
    David Wisteria says:

This is hardly the most intellectually demanding case the CPS have ever dealt with.

They were able to sort out John Terry in a fraction of the time.

Prosecute and let the Beak kick it out is their best bet now.

Some Geezer wot sees yet another opportunity for electoral jiggery-pokery to take place says:

Figure it out: How are the prisoners in HM Prisons going to vote– polling stations, or postal? And for whom? Who benefits?

Maybe this hideous idea will have gone into effect by the time the Huhnester can avail himself of it.

Where are Tony Blair's Expenses says:

We will see just about sums Cameron up – he will be known as the do nothing Prime Minister.

      Nothing on Immigration
      No referendum on Europe
Nothing on curbing the powers of public sector and rail unions
      Nothing on Pilgrims
      Nothing on Human Rights
Very little on reducing the deficit, public spending still rising and nothing on reducing the national debt
No reduction in energy and employment costs for private industry
      Capitulation on public sector pensions
Capitulation to Bob Crow over the Olympics

      Nothing nothing nothing ……

      Car Owner says:

And that is why Public Transport will always be trounced by Personal transport.

If these fuckers think themselves so special and vital – then they should be forbidden to go on strike, just like the Peelers & the Army.

      • 90
        Droids says:

Just get rid of the drivers like the DLR and have computers driving the fecking thngs. Then Bob Crow can shove hit up his arse.

    • 92
Where are Tony Blair's Expenses says:

Wait until the Olympics are over then announce plans to fully automate the underground trains. Sack all the bus drivers and replace them with out of work HGV drivers. Regan resolved all public sector issues at stroke by sacking all the so called irreplacable air traffic controllers.

It’s not unusual and will become less so. The Olympic Games provide leverage.
