      ENGLAND says:

Thanks for removing the ‘Sick Man of Europe’ tag: thanks for releasing us from the vice-like grip of the Union barons: thanks for helping restoring some National Pride: thanks for restoring the Country’s finances after Labour had had to grovel to the IMF: thanks for being a true Conservative !!!

What do you think about Fox using your good name for his own end?

        • 62

When the Conservative party ditched the best peacetime prime minister that had lead them in a century, they lost the ball for two decades, in which time Britain has been completely ruined.

Britain paid off its War debt in December 2006. On that basis, it will be 2071 before we pay off our peacetime debt.

          • Disaster in 1991 says:

Not the party, Tarzan and his apes. To force us into the Eurozone (ERM). It was treachary of the 1st water but political pigmies. From that dispicable act all else – including the Brown Ruin – flowed

          • Rage Against the Political Elite says:

Corner Shop economics, Yeah Well done Maggie for deregulation of Banking in 1986. Well done,. when all of the Blue Rinse brigade are starving and have lost their pensions, Well done, role on 2013. The END.

          • Rage Against the Political Elite says:

We are in 2 WARS you twonk. One in Afghanistan and the WAR on Drugs, These Phoney WARS. have enabled the STATE to destroy our civil Liberties and now they are coming after your Capital. What is called in the USA a Slam Dunk.

          • Rage Against the Political Elite says:

I forgot, North Sea and Oil and Gas Revenue paid for the whole F–ked up economic Thatcher Model. Now production Tax is up to 80% and the North Sea is on its Arse. Thatcher destroyed our ability to manufacture, her economic model was and will be shown to be a disaster. The only good thing about her she was the only MAN in the Conservative Party.

          • Aunt Mat says:

Love it or Hate it, she gave us the Britain that we have today.

Years of Labour Government have not made a dent on her Legacy.

She has defined Britain’s current history and culture.

          • oddly cheerful says:

The North Sea played out, Mr Rage? “BP to make its biggest ever investment in the North Sea” (FT this weekend). Then there’s that little business about 5.6 trillion cubic metres of shale gas reserves found by Cuadrilla around Blackpool.

Cheer up; it’s not all soon-to-be-decommissioned power stations and useless windmills!

        • 64

          • lord Wayne of Trombone says:

yes it is a non elected body

perhaps the labour party would give all those things up

being totally incompetent with monetary matters

best speech you are going to hear in a long time

          • Iloathlefties says:

A brilliant politician and true Tory NOT like the current wet Camoron and Osborne. They don’t want to roll back the state, they want more as Liberals.

          • never mind Thatcher Britain's going down right now says:

Fitch downgrades RBS and Lloyds; Barclays ‘negative’.

So it’s either hundreds more billions of taxpayer pounds for RBS/Lloyds and Barclays through the back door or the banks collapse and take down what’s left of UK’s ponzi economy in the ensuing panic to wthdraw deposits.

            Britain’s fucked, mateys.

          • lord Wayne of Trombone says:

            well fucked

          • Rage Against the Political Elite says:

If we keep being told by the MEDIA that this is a peace time deficit through the Political Mates. Then we are fu–ed.
We have 2 disasterous Wars. 1 Afghanistan 2. Drugs.
Both of these Phoney Wars have cost the country Billions upon Billions

      • 67
        Sungei Patani says:

        Hear hear.

      • 93

And thanks for getting up the nose of these liebour bastards.

        Well done Maggie

        SCOTLAND says:

your undemocratic and illegitimate government doomed the United Kingdom to break-up, which will allow Scotland, Wales (and maybe even Northern Ireland!) to become markedly politically healthier and more prosperous … god knows what will happen to “rump UK” – otherwise known as “England” – tied to a neo-liberal, fundamentalist city of London junta though!

        • 255
          Marmite says:

Nasty little snot of a scotch id*ot aren’t you Scotland. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Scotchland, the eternal victim, twinned with L*verp**l.

        • 264
          REMEMBER DARIEN! says:

And how does the PR of Jockoslavia propose to generate sufficient income to pay the 71% of the workforce that work for ‘the state’ in the porridge paradise? I trust it will not continue to be funded by the few remaining people in the ‘rump’ who still have productive jobs. Edinburgh is the site of the UK’s (and probably the Worlds’) two most blatant cash consuming political vanity projects (The ‘parliament’ – £410m over budget, and the tram as yet unreleased but huge figure over budget, pointless and as useful as a 6 yo’s Thomas train set). To be fair, this is surpassed by the Olympic idiocy. The Tram has been slapped onto the Edinburgh credit card. At minimum payments it will be payed off in 2874. Enjoy you £37.00 (single) Airport to Haymarket tram rides

I predict a hollow nation living on neeps and thistles with ‘nae arse tae its troosers’ 25 years after independence. Remember Darien, remember 1707

          • Call me Infidel says:

It will be the usual war cry of the Jock mafia “North Sea oil” shame its running out really.

          • Yer Maw says:

You know, it is posts like yours that make some unionists north of Hadrian’s wall cringe and make independence much, much more likely. It is little wonder the English are amongst the most despised within the Western world.

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

English most despised? Only really by scotland.

Scotland should count its self lucky its stuck to England. place it anywhere else and it would have something to complain about. How’s about sticking say … near poland?

Best of all, if scotland was stuck to France, they’d have completely erased all notion of the scottish nation.

        • 291
Rage Against the Political Elite says:

I think every one has forgot how much English Scottish Welsh and Irish Blood was spilt forging the UNION and how GREAT BRITAIN ruled the waves.
A couple of headlines in the SUN and an appeasement bunch of fraudsters in Parliament shit it all down the toilet. The Globalist agenda dosn’t want a Great Britain, it may get in the way of the divide and conquer agenda.

        • 292
          Shire Tory says:

What’s so good about the last communist country left in Europe?

        • 296
          M says:

Scotland’s economy is as sustainable as Greece
The only reason it clings to the UK is for it’s hand out
So if we put Scotland up for adoption how many replys would we get ?

      • 288

        Thank you!

I’m sorry this next lot are a complete waste of space.

    • 5
      God Bless Maggie. says:

Take Note Dave. Those are the words of a true Tory.

True tories are flocking to UKIP now.

        • 153
          Osama the Nazarene says:

          Flocking? Sounds familiar.

        • 196
          nell says:

Really? Can we expect to see at least mp at the next election then? because they haven’t managed it so far even though the Greens have got one into the HOC!

Doesn’t sound much like the electorate are flocking to me!!

        • 225
          Jabba the Cat says:

No they’re not. Most of them recognise that Farage is a wrong ‘un, solely interested in keeping his grubby fingers in the EUSSR petty cash box.

          • Really? says:

Really? I would wait and see the result of the coming EUro elections if I were you. I predict even now, UKIP will finish 1st. Then watch Dave & Co posture frantically, with cast iron promises and stupid meaningless slogans like “in europe but not run by europe” all over again, just for tribalist mugs like you lot. Ignorant saps like you, are ruining this country.

          • Jabba the Cat says:

Lol…in case you haven’t noticed the Euro elections are totally meaningless. The EUSSR ‘parliament’ is solely a talking shop with access to a large petty cash box.

The only elections that matter are the general elections here, where Farage and the kippered pygmies have totally failed to convince the majority of the electorate to vote for them. FFS, even the dumb fuck greens have one MP.

    • 242
      AC1 says:

Meopham by-election result in Kent: Con 648, UKIP 462, Lib Dem 148, Lab 112 38.23% turnout. UKIP get 33.7%. A great result!

    • 161
      Socialist Wreckage says:

We may hate her, loath her, despise her – and her idiot offspring (x2) – but you have to respect her abilities in totally smashing the glass ceiling of an inbred male(?) dominated party.

      • 253
        Really? says:

Spoken like a true marxist. Actually you will find millions who liked her and miss her defence of this country and freedom, against socialist tyranny.

        • 317
          oddly cheerful says:

Actually, that comment goes to the heart of why they hate her: for all their trash talk about ‘equality’ and ‘diversity’, who produced the first female Prime Minister? Their detested Tories, whilst the brothers locked into legendarily smoke-filled rooms could cough up only a Kinnock.

  3. 3
    The last Conservative says:

She was the last of the long-haired ladies…

    All tragically sad

  4. 5
    parcel of rogues says:

Hurry up and die you old bag.

  5. 7
    The first oligarch Berezevski says:

Please hug the hoodies for me Guido

It is worth a few million for you perso…

    But avoid the Polonium

  6. 10
    Charlie Gilmour says:

This was from the days when politics mattered.

  7. 12
    not a machine says:

makes you laugh when you think of Blair now doesnt it .

    • 16
RED ED - SON OF BROWN says:

I certainly have hysterics when I see myself in the mirror.

    • 40
      lola says:

Yeah. Shallow mendacious self serving little shit that he is.

      • 47

        • 68
          Archer Karcher says:

Those were just his good points.

          • Satan says:

You should see his bad ones. Ooooooh Mamma, I’m gonna be having some fun in a few years.

          • nell says:

            !!!! but satan you can’t!!!!

he and his grasping wife have visited the pope and asked for – what is it?- er …….the blessingly thing that leaves you clear of your sins past, present and future……..

he thinks he can do whatever evil he likes now!

  8. 13
    Mr Therm says:

If you see Sid, tell him we made a fortune selling back to the great British public what they already owned, ha ha ha.

    • 33
      The Bottle Fed Triplet says:

Ah, but don’t forget the compulsory purchase at knockdown prices of railways, coalmines, shipyards and other privately owned companies by way of “nationalisation”

    • 75
      Archer Karcher says:

The state owned you mean, big difference twat. Clearly you have never lived on a council estate. Those BL cars were fantastic too.

      • 119
        Cato Street Conspirator says:

What did ‘the state’ do with the money Archer?

        • 148
          The Paragnostic says:

The ‘state’ used the money to bring down government debt, which was appallingly high by the standards of the day, but miniscule by Blair/Brown standards.

I seem to remember that pre-privatisation British Steel was costing 1 million a day in subsidies – or about 350 million a year. That, at the time, was considered a total waste.

After 13 years of Blair and the Monocular Mentalist, we ended up with a situation where they were pissing that much up against the wall subsidising public sector bedwetters every 36 hours, not 365 days…

          • Socialist Wreckage says:

            …or about 350 million a year

I remember those 350 day years. An extra 2 weeks paid holiday

  9. 14
    Fluck & Law says:

    Alex says:

    Happy birthday M’lady – you’re sorely missed.

  12. 20
    This bloody generation says:

    Happy Birthday Lady T.

    And thank you….

  13. 21
It all started with Thatcher says:

    Die, you twisted fuck

    • 37
      Anonymous says:

The fact that after a generation out of office, she can still provoke such immature and spiteful comments from twats like the above illustrates admirable what a wonderful leader she was.

      • 41
        lola says:

Seconded. And here she was talking about liberty – no wonder lefties hate her.

        • 46
          Fish says:

I remeber a 14 year old delegate at the Liberal Conference going on about Mrs T. Obviously had first hand experience

        • 78
          Archer Karcher says:

The left hate freedom and choice, they hate those who advocate it even more.

          • Joshua Tetley & Son says:

I love the way the left still blame Thatcher after all these years….

What a bunch of retards – do they not realise she hasn’t been in power since 1992 !!! and Major, Blair and Brown have been in power since…..

Round our way a local cop gets graffitti and abuse about him from the local turds….. I guess the guy must be a top lad who does his job well ….

    • 104
      BillyBob... says:

      tosser !

  14. 22
    Nostradamus says:

Just imagine the strips she’d tear off Red Ed….

    Many happy returns.

    What a plonker. says:

She dragged our nation kicking and screaming into the twentieth century.
She is a true Conservative and I only wish that she was in charge now .
    What a great lady.

  16. 26
    viva la beast says:

This wondeful lady was prepared to nuke Argentina should the unthinkable happen and a bunch of tango dancing dago nancy boys kicked the arses of UK forces

As we can no longer afford an aircraft carrier how about making the Iron lady colonel in chief of 2 Para or the SAS(her favourites) ?

  17. 30
    The Bottle Fed Triplet says:

I am afraid I missed it today but tell me, did the ‘sisters’ on Radio 4 Woman’s Hour wish the noble Baroness a happy birthday? I have often wondered why the feminists never ‘celebrated’ the time when Britain had a female head of state and female head of government simultaneously.

Perhaps they didn’t want to say how proud they were for the first female Prime Minister in the UK. They usually refer to her as ‘Thatcher’.

Maybe if you scratch a BBC feminist, you reveal a lefty?

    • 38
      Mrs Thatch says:

All feminists are Trots. They make Greens look like Tories.

    • 175
      John Bellingham says:

With the singular exception of Shirly Williams every Labour, Libby and Lefty woman politician and commentator has trashed Lady T for over forty years now. The simple reason being that she gained her position in the Conservative Party, then became and STAYED Prime Minister through ability, not through patronage, not through preference. No women-only candidate lists, no “window-dressing”, no quotas. In fact, quite the reverse; what could have been more misogynist that the Tory Party of the 1950s and 1960s, especially after Ted Heath took over?
She makes all the “Sistahs” look as f**king useless as they actually are.

  18. 31
    Gordon Brown says:

I invited her for tea and said she was a great leader.
Is that why no labour supporters voted for me?

Well bloody Blair did it! And you voted for him didn’t you, you mental faced socialist scumboggers? Its always Tony,Tony,Tony..i fuckin’ hate him. I fuckin’, fuckin’ hate him.

    {self harm —scene deleted}

  19. 32
    Elvis Costello says:

Here’s to you, Lady Gaga! I’ll be there to tramp the dirt down…

    • 39
      The Bottle Fed Triplet says:

Don’t forget, you can always resort to insults when you run out of arguments.

    • 45

You lump of dogmeat. Who’s shagging your tramp of a wife these days? Anyone she knows?

    • 120
      Infuriated of West Mids says:

You fucking piece of filth. Your shoes wouldn’t be fit to touch the dirt without a good bleaching first.

    • 294
      Number 6 says:

Like Billy Bragg (£1.5 mill) mansion owner, old four eyes has not done too bad out of the capitalist ‘record industry’ has he.

Easy to slag off the “system man” when you are coining it back time on the back of the beast you claim to hate.

  20. 34
    Mrs Thatch says:

You know..its just like old times.

“The ugly face of Labour’s loony left tendency has returned to haunt Ed Miliband in his party’s urban fiefdoms. Brent Council has overcome a legal challenge in the High Court to go ahead with the closure of six local libraries – half of the total.

…They are planning to axe £1.25 million from the libraries’ budget. Yet this is the same Labour run council which this year launched a £120,000 propaganda newspaper and employs 10.5 climate change officers. Doesn’t that tell you everything you need to know about the Labour’s skewered, politically motivated, priorities? Brent say closing the libraries will save a million pounds, but they could save even more if they sacked half of their diversity officers and other politically correct apparatchiks.”

    • 82
      Archer Karcher says:

I have never met a socialist who, under a thin veneer of care and compassion, was not an utter bastard. Looks like the left is playing God with peoples lives again and of course, pretending that they care and have no other options. They are evil.

  21. 35
    Popeye says:

Lady T your’e the greatest, still. Make the so called Conservative party today look like the wutzes they are.
    Gove for PM.

  22. 43

Thatcher and Regan. What a team.

        Archer Karcher says:

      • 85
        Reimer says:

The West got quietly absorbed into a new, larger corporatist bloc post-89.

        • 94
          Archer Karcher says:

It did indeed, with the collusion of the entire political elite both left and so called right, of Europe. They made themselves very rich selling our freedom away. Luckily, they were also too stupid to learn the lessons of history. We will be free again, it’s just a matter of time.

          • Cato Street Conspirator says:

Hang on Archer, I thought ‘the left’ was beaten by Thatcher-Reagan.

          • Archer Karcher says:

Communism was defeated by Reagan and Thatcher, in it’s aftermath the marxists morphed into Greens, infiltrated themselves into the entire political elite and used the Green movement to try and destroy real democracy, personal liberty and free market capitalism.
            Largely, they have succeeded.

  23. 44
    nell says:

    Happy Birthday Ma-am!

    Greatest PM Ever!

If only we had a PM now who understood sensible housekeeping economics.

  24. 48

  25. 50

    Happy Birthday.

  26. 52
    Gordon Brown says:

    But I saved the world!!!

    • 65

Thank the Lord we never ever voted him into office!

    • 298
      Albatross! says:

You keep waiting for the scene to change, to assure yourself that it’s just a Terry Jones bit, but John Cleese never announces that it’s time for something completely different. (I reckon that’s what the electorate announced.)

      • 306
        Albert Ross says:

Spot-on, Albatross! The ages I’ve spent waiting for Terry Jones’ skits, spoofs and mostly un-humourous vignettes to end so that the funny stuff could resume!

        • 307
          Archie says:

Yeah. Well tired of the current shower of shit in government. Same old bollocks as the previous!

  27. 53
    WVM says:

    Many happy returns Baroness Thatcher.

  28. 55
    Max says:

Anyone leaving the usual knee-jerk “please die” comments on here should be forced to:

    a) Disclose how old they were when she first took office
    b) Provide details of their employment at the time
    c) Give a brief but factual summary of why they personally were worse off at the end of her term as prime minister as a result of a policy she implemented.

That would at least make their comments actually interesting.

  29. 58
    Margaret Hilda Thatcher says:

Remember, they stabbed me in the back.

    • 137
cecil parkinson - no lube needed says:

You are one of our best PMs, Maggie! It was a privilege to be governed by you……….. Happy Birthday……….. and to HELL with the traitors!

  32. 61
    genghiz the kahn says:

A political giant, compared to today’s pygmies.

  33. 66
    Engineer says:

I wasn’t around in Churchill’s time, so Mrs Thatcher is the best prime minister of my lifetime. Prepared to accept unpopularity in order to do the right thing for the country. Tackling malign influences head on. Taking an economic basket-case and turning it into a functioning and dynamic economy. Standing up for Britain’s interests abroad. As Ronald Reagan once described her, “The best man in the Cabinet”.

    Happy Birthday, Mrs T.

  34. 69
    Harry says:

Happy Birthday, 86 years young today!

  35. 72

      • 87

That was a message from many millions of working class people freed from the working poor and who moved into the middle class, just as my family did.

        • 90
          nell says:

And mine. Being the daughter of a humble grocer she understood true working class aspiration far better than faux working class labour or union leader of the last 50 years!

          • cecil parkinson - no lube needed says:

And British Leyland, where the night shift was often to be found asleep, a newspaper industry dominated by the print unions to the extent that new technology could not be introduced, British Coal, British Steel, a telecoms sector where you couldn’t even attach non-GPO equipment to the phone lines, an IT sector largely buggered up by the influence of Wedgewood-Benn – need I go on?

If you want six-figure unemployment, we have to stop letting third world ‘communities’ in, and stop paying the ones that are here to do nothing but breed uncontrollably.

If we want manufacturing industry, we need to free up resources and incentivise private wealth creation by stopping the ‘progressive’ taxation that pays for ever more public sector workers at the expense of those who could be making things. We also need to look at ways of making it more attractive to manufacture here than to import goods from China and elsewhere, which will necessitate a break from the EU.

EC president Jose Manuel Barroso thanked Slovakia for finally voting to ratify upgrades to the EFSF.

“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate Slovakia. This is an important decision for all of us in Europe. I never had any doubt that Slovakia would support it because it is in the interest of that country, in the interest of all euro-area countries, and in the interest of the European Union as a whole”

    not a machine says:

Nothing in papers on Nick Cleggs euro speech , in which he trys to claim , it is your money but it will be doing some good , in a few decades . Best bit of evening was on Sky news , when Chukka Uma was interviewed anna “do you appologise for the way in which you left the economy”
CU “no it wasnt our fault there was a global financial crisis, we didnt get some things right (grabs popcorn half expecting specific admission like gold sell off or public borrowing) but it was in part because we took the advice of the conservative party not to regulate the financial sector as much”

QT was interesting in that instead of left panel we had a left audience ,the clip board man was most interesting , Mr Lansley delicately batted each one , even popped in his “the NHS will not be broken up or privatised while I am secretary of state” but it seems he is up aginst a quite determined and militant form of ignorance , Dr Hammond was quick with his one shot quotes , but was a little shy of explaining if its management costs were making it to clumsy and costly . Mr Little did quite well , but there was clearly a closed and possibly hard element at work whose only position is to portray it all as the work of satan , whilst busily blowing money to ensure it destroys itself ,just to make left win seem correct .
I had rather assumed the NHS would be more , responsive to the urgent need to find better ways of working , we are told it is staffed by the nice sort of caring people who you would want to have when your ill, I agree it does have some staff you would be proud off , but it equally has some ways of working that are in need of reform if it is survive . Dr Hammond made much play of the word competition , and its previous attempts failiures , and yet said nothing about how uncaring expensive ivory towers form , he was talking as doctor free to do medicene without considering how it is paid for , and yet it is because some of its costs have become so used to the reality of , the economy that funds it . Why did Dr hammond not complain that the NHS would be in trouble , when 1.2 mn manufacturing jobs were lost or 5mn people able to work but have no job , or immigration where earnings go overseas , or tourist health claimers , why oh Dr hammond did you not complain when labour were unbalancing the real way the NHS is funded did you not show your intellgent anger then instead of waiting for this end of the road national debt position.

Whilst i can see the rose wand being wafted around to create mayhem and resistance , I wonder what others may think , is Ed marshalling labour to bring about further economic destruction ? Does he really look across the atlantic and see more debt as the solution ? Does he chide wheres the growth but plots the strikes that harm ?? Does he hope the coalition is weak and can be torn in torrents of spin or by easing the right wingers out ??

It is tempting isnt it , he makes my blood boil , should we give him the fight he aches for ,trigger a unrelenting right stance , so he can spin the nasty party all over again , or stick to centre right coalition politics , keeping in touch with the public ??

I think the PM is nearing a closer look at his policy performance , he has a good look at what labour are serving up , and the priorities , hes making some executive changes , hes had some bad luck ecnomically (it would be far worse with interest rates ) , and had one or two rather bad policies and troublesome cabinet ministers approach to public life , but this far it could have been much much worse if he had not enjoyed low interest rates . yet the heyenas seem to be multiplying , they wait until they sense the lameness for a kill . The question perhaps I have always hoped would be visibly answered , is the lib dems approach to labour , do they wish to fight of the heyenas or offer them a nice chat and cup of tea ? Labour are pushing for a fail ,a weakness in the message , erasing there guilt , playing a very dangerous game to speed up the deterioration of the coalition in the publics mind . It would be nice to think the coalition is holding back just to get eds wonkanomics into the kill zone . It would of course be a long fight such is the nature of the problem left by labour and the euro crisis , and one must ensure one has both the people and ability to fight ,rather than acting on develish anger or firey darts .
People are snychronised into beleiving , that things are solved at the speed of search engines ,Ed is using this to cheat the public of the authentic time which this mess can be turned around , he continually puts down this new generation vibe , that somehow his fresh faces would be able to do things quicker , instantly almost , which is a lie and the public dont see it because he use rhetoric all the time .calling him dishonest with the public is perhaps not enough as even his denials have dishonest intent .
We should not pay for the eurozone bailout , that just reeks of letting the corrupt EU off the hook , by all means have dialogue on solution , but it must face reform and cost cut or limp along taking every angrey destitute tax payer to its self aggrandised destruction ,until the le penns of this world become the only viable solution .

I will blame labour for the additional corruptions , but they are spoiling for fight and then we shall have the politicians choices , which will come to end if the politics fail , by inflicting policy fails . Nor should the coalition ignore the wish of many of the british people , not to end up paying for the euro socialist fail , or the burden that a seemingly vast political and expensive structure has caused . The correct message should be in the coalition , if it isnt , its time to think about it , the number of walks up the garden path , are becomming limited and disengenuous , the euro crisis is perhaps the most pressing one to see worked out , but after that , i think a different approach is required and one hopes where we shall find out , what we all voted for and if it can send the heyenas spin ops packing or not .

If we get bogged down in the office , we shall not see what is happening outside and effect the changes that we need , but one phase as i see it is definitely comming to a close in the coalition . i always favour options but the coalition will have more of them if they are in the mind to win the battles that will ensure to win the endemic and traitorus corruptions induced into the publics minds by labour and its great resistance hoax .
I mean what are the precise details of there growth package .

The fox saga looks like making it to 7 days , and the inflation of no new information suggest more pressure than reason being exherted , however i wouldnt discount a gentlemanly exit being the best one , after all huhne could go supernova at any moment , bit worrying when lib spin officer is unable to comment on if anyone likes him .

You and your team held back some of the tide of collectivised control enough for some freedom and free economics to work.
That which you did manage to achieve enabled almost three decades of comparative freedom that we have squandered in our infantile conceit.

A confused Nick Griffin says Nigel Farage is a shill for the City, forgetting that City banks want to stay in the EU:

“Farage is a snake oil salesman, but a very good one. His supposed anti-immigration stance is all smoke and mirrors, as is his carefully cultivated image as a ‘man of the people’. The truth is that UKIP is a pro-immigration party that exists to lobby for the interests of the City of London.”
