I say that the fast speed represents the pace at which the mainstream of the party want a referendum on Europe.

The slower speed represents the current speed :)

The sliproad sign (out of shot) represents Tory voters’ chance to exit the road to nowhere and switch to UKIP.

Take next extreme right for UKIP.
Be advised bumpy surface, no traction and vehicle may be without any chance of power for next 100 years.

          Observer says:

UKIP has the potential to do to the Conservative Party what the SNP has done to the Conservative Party in Scotland. The SNP took decades to gain traction, but once it did, the other parties got clobbered. This has to be a possibility for the Conservative Party when its leadership is out of step with the public on the EU, failing to get to grips with mass immigration and caving in to the developers by letting them write the planning rules.

….and then the big brave Tory ‘euro-sceptics’ will jump ship to UKIP…not before then. After, when its safe to do so….

    The Paragnostic says:

In the alternative universe where Rich and Mark are funny, there exists a cartoon where the slow alternative is represented by Nick Clegg walking in front of the vehicle holding the HRA.

Unfortunately, the CERN neutrinos have buggered reality, so we’re left with this one.

Nobody does brutal dictators as well as the Left. Stalin, Mao. Pol Pot, Chavez, Castro, the EU. Brutal dictatorship is what Socialism is all about.

Good Morning Guido, I posted this tweet from Kerry McCarthy MP yesterday, It Iain Dale hot under the collor.

I wonder if she has taken up the mantle left by Derek Draper/Damian McBride?

Tom Harris bemoans the public’s attitude to politicians…

“Mr Oborne echoes the lazy, anti-politics whine we hear so often these days, all based on the absurd notion that politicians were once loved and only fell out of public favour during the expenses scandal. He should take a walk to the Strangers’ Bar. But not to sup with the patrons he seems to despise so much, dearie me, no; he should instead look at the paintings on the corridor outside the bar, which depict the devastating fire which consumed most of the Palace in 1834. And he should reflect on the fact that on that dramatic night, as the Commons went up in flames, a crowd gathered on the South Bank to clap and cheer.”

Focus group time. says:

The thing that Dave needs to work out is which group is more likely to vote Conservative. Mad swivel-eyed loons or mad homosexuals wishing to get married.
