Labour Shadow Minister Says Murdoch Worse than Gaddafi

One day back in Westminster and the gaffes begin. Diane Abbott thinks Tony Blair overseeing the extraordinary rendition of terror suspects and cutting a deal with the murderous Gaddafi regime isn’t as bad as the fact he is godfather to one of Murdoch’s kids:

Guido would like to know how many of her Labour colleagues agree…

Labour and the BBC feel Murdoch is all about Coulson and therefore will damage the Tories so in there eyes it’s bound to be worse than anything the Mad Dog did on Blair’s behalf.

Indeed, to me he was like a mountain, a towering genius, the furthest peaks of his intellect spied faintly and afar. Then he laughed, a laugh like rain on the roof of the Royal Greenhouse in the Palace of the Emperors in Meh’d-Itupp. “Johann”, he said, “you can ignore what Whittam-Strobes may say, estimable fellow though he be. I was there. I saw it all. It was not the snake that tempted Eve. It was Rupert Murdoch. But for him, we would all be in Paradise today. I warned the Big Man Upstairs, but would he listen?”

It was my turn to laugh. “Johann, in all our conversations together I’ve never known him to take advice!”

Her record from They Work for us is “average” and let’s not forget she had failed to declare earnings of £17,300 on the Register of Members’ Interests which had been received for appearances on the television programme This Week.

She had to apologize to The House.

If I failed to declare £17300 income HMRC would string me up!

  49. 49
    misterned says:

They have to paint Murdoch as being worse than Gaddafi. Cameron never sucked up to Gaddafi, and has played a leading role in the global effort to overthrow Gaddafi. Whereas, just like Blair and Brown, Cameron has sucked up to Murdoch.

So Murdoch is worse, purely because they can attack Cameron over links to Murdoch.

However both Brown and Blair were closer to Murdoch AND Gaddafi, than Cameron ever was.

The evil, terrorist supporting, corruption of the labour years is leaking out thick and fast now.

She is trying to paint Labour out as being whiter than white. Labour think they have made gains by attacking Murdoch. Lets wait and see what happens when Hackgate is over. Murdoch will not forget especially when the whole of the press is as equally as guilty as he is yet theytappear to be out of range on Labour’s moral radar. The Mirror will get off lightly with it being a Labour rag.

  65. 65
    The voice of unreason says:

  66. 66
    Backwoodsman says:

Well, not entirely, never having mentioned the screws from one month to the next, this paper, which represents about 1% of NI, became the fount of all evil to the bbc for commercial reasons. Their primary interest was in stopping the b sky b takeover – damaging Cameron was just a handy bit of colateral damage.
They had to do some pretty selective one eyed reporting over the links of the freelance investigators with other papers ( Miror Group anyone), and deal with some pretty discredited politicians ( Underpants briant, bully boy watson FFS !), but hey, gotta do what you gotta do, to keep the old socialist orthodoxy on dem airwaves.

Boris on British Jihadis. Apparently based on MI5 intel:

“If you look at all the psychological profiling about bombers, they typically will look at porn. They are literally w***ers. Severe onanists. They are tortured. They will be very badly adjusted in their relations with women, and that is a symptom of their feeling of being failures and that the world is against them. They are not making it with girls, and so they turn to other forms of spiritual comfort — which of course is no comfort.”
