A Good Day For Citizen Journalism

Two videos have surfaced this afternoon to remind you that things might just be alright out there after all. Firstly, this is what London is up against:

And secondly, something you don’t see everyday:

Stephenson and Yates must be spitting blood…

    The voice of reason says:
    • 4
      Up sh1t creek says:

Maybe a better indicator would be the immigration figures.

      • 9
        Iron Bru says:

You’re not supposed to say that.

        • 24
          Osama the Nazarene says:

Now I know what the Big Society is all about. It will overcome the scum.

          • Grammar School Boy says:

I feel quite proud of the second clip. It IS the Big Society in action – laugh if you wish – and bigger than that hideous vision presented to the world as represented by the cowardly, feral, thieving scum in the first.

Not all of the young people in this country are utter trash, like the typical profile of the looter…

          • Judy Judy says:

BoJO just good heckled relentlessly – and was not ready – still jet lagged …..

had to walk away….. poor show old boy

          • Troy Tempest says:

Can’t London Zoo just let a couple of Polar Bears out in Hackney tonight?

That ought to solve the problem.

          • Atar says:

It seems that 99% of the lawless scum were one colour.

It seems that 99% of the citizen volunteer clean up crews were another.

            Gosh. How unexpected.

          • I is not beeen racyst says:

How many ethnics did you see in the cleanup video?

            I saw 1.

        • 39

The great clean up, first you come out with you face covered and steal what you want, then you return in the afternoon and look like a good guy cleaning it up.

To fix this, you need police walking the streets, but if you listen, they will all be watching the cameras and arresting people after the fact, not while in the act.
          Which would you rather?
Get them in the act, if the resist beat them to a pulp!

          • Sir Ian Paisley says:

Just what they are saying they will watch the CCTV and make their dawn arrests.
All Met from Commanders up need sacking and bring in the US chap to run it don’t forget most of these wasters at the Met all all PC Liebour scum.

      • 11
But why so many B'lac'ks? says:

Sometimes I wonder if this guy was right all along!

        • 56
          Osama the Nazarene says:

It was those arsonists and looters who introduced the Krystal Nacht in London.

Luckily some local Hanwell residents took matters into their own hands and defended their property and area. More such actions needed coz the cops can’t cope.

          • Mike Hunt says:

Can’t cope? Won’t cope more like – terrified of touching one of our dark-skinned cousins for fear of being seen to be racist.

Sadly they just look like cowards.

        • 310
          Ivan Agenda says:

Must be alright as the server cannot cope with the number of entries.

      • 17

Seems to me they are trying to create a home from home.

Heard or radio 5 live loads of people having a right go at the liberal wet limp wristed apologist drips on the panel. They were falling over them selves to blame it on other people, they are still at it now. Sky new is the best of a very bad bunch.

        • 27

Sky news journo who was in ‘Claarhm’ last night was very good.

          • Allweather says:

Except when he asked the rioters if they were having “fun”. Plonker, could have got himself killed for that…

          • Yes. And missed a trick when that girl said “we is claiming our taxes.”

Being surrounded by looters and criminal gangs is probably a good enough excuse for missing the follow up, “Where do you work where you pay tax?”

        • 294
          roy says:

I wonder how long it would take police to act if rioters looted Chipping Norton

      • 84
        Socialism Ate My Future says:

A guy on Kay Burleigh tried to suggest that it was majority black, shot down as it’s against the utopian MsN vision of a fully integrated UK.

        Why go around the issue?

        • 300
          Rog says:

          Yeah, saw that earlier.

He made the mistake of mentioning the issue that must never be discussed.

          What’s making that trumpeting noise?

      • 89
        Jess The Dog says:

What, like the admirable Turks and Asians who protected their businesses? These rioters are British born and bred with what passes for our modern family values.

      • 139
        Call me Infidel says:

Something else you dont see every day at Clapham Junction is that many white people. This will never show up on the BBC surely?

Cameron talking tough, he’s all wind and piss, I bet less than a dozen of the bastards go to jail. We’ve heard all this bollock on law and order for years, the EU will demand that we respect the rioters human rights and this CAST IRON WANKER will simply obay.

        • 244
          Drew Pecock says:

I bet Caneron is already booking up holidays to disneyland for the rioters at the tax payers expence, You don’t get punished these days you get pampered. We don’t need a big society, we need a fucking big stick and a fucking big bloke using it on the bastards

          • The Delbert Special Shoppers Discount Committee says:

agree with the remdy but not that its cameron’s fault.

          • The Delbert Special Shoppers Discount Committee says:

sorry didn’t tell you why..cos it was labour that let us down for 13 years doing nothing to help us except get on our backs and fuck up our pocket money..we got no stake in this dosshole of a country so we goona bend it.

      • 217
labour just filth just filth says:

scum …just scum…labour filth just filth…labour just filthy thieving looting and tooting scum…more robust policing needed..legs and arms first please bobby..

    • 13
      Get tough says:

The important statistic here is the 19% under Nuliebor not the 1% increase. 13 years of New Labour and what did you get increased youth unemployment year on year. New Labour should have been called No Labour. TB and GB have no right to claim they reperesent the working class all they do is represent themselves and fill their own pockets.

      • 72
        AC1 says:

Unemployment is caused by taxing labour. You tax something you get less of it.

        • 104
          AC1 says:

i.e. “progressive” taxation lowers wages, not just for those who are deprived by the taxman, but also for those they would employ, down to the lowest levels of productivity where they are inevitably unemployed.

        • 129
          Sir William Waad says:

If you employ somebody, you have to pay protection money of 13.8% of their wages to the state for the privilege of doing so, except that you don’t get any protection. Not even Al Capone was as blatant as that.

      • 307
        Sheer Khan says:

And what sort of jobs do you think these gangsta’s are going to be able to do, even if they wanted to, which they don’t?

They can’t even read or write properly, after all that free edyukayshun they’ve had. All they’ve learned is that they should “express themselves”.

As someone else said, they only use they’d be is with a pogo-stick out in afgannystand, looking for IEDs.

        drug-dealing is not a job

    • 16
      misterned says:

That second video is Cameron’s big society happening before our eyes!!!

We need a lot more of it.

We need decent law-abiding people to take to the streets tonight to reclaim our streets. Help the police and take the streets back from the disgusting criminal thugs.

      • 28
        rocknrolla says:

But when the decent people are a minority of 5% where will that leave us?

      • 29
        Moussa Koussa says:

In that case misterned, get your shovel and broom and be on your way…….narrr didnt think so

        • 116
          misterned says:

Unlike you Koussa you useless braindead tit, I have already been doing my bit to help clean up the mess. I have been out since early this morning assessing damage and I will be out later helping out more.

I am also organising groups of people to take to the streets to help maintain the order that your fucking scum labour lot have spent so many years undermining.

It’s time for ALL of us to repair the 13 years of criminal damage labour did to the fabric of our society.

        • 148
          Cynical Old Man says:

Moussa continues to show his pig ignorance and leftie bigotry. He is a hopeless case. Sits on his arse spouting insults, abuse and ranting like most lefties. If wasn’t so far up his own leftie arsehole and bone idle he would probably have been out there last night helping his black friends to liberate sports shoes and plasma televisions from ” The Man.”

Moussa, it’s impossible to have a rational conversation with a piece of shit like you. Now go and lie down and smoke your weed.

          • relaxed says:

better to give them machine guns

          • misterned says:

We don’t need any weapons at all. We just need large numbers of decent law abiding people in the streets.

The rioters are pathetic cowards at heart and will not dare take on bigger numbers.

          • Anonymous says:

if all rioters and looters were shot dead there would be no more rioting or looting QED

          • Paddy Ashdown says:

No, only the police are allowed weapons.
The public must be disarmed or they will go to war with the rest of europe.

      • 58
        Sophie says:

Not many gangsta’s on the clean up. Probably sitting under a tree somewhere dreaming of living in a lawless paradise like Somalia like their brethren.

Has Dave offered any of them more hugs & taxpayer cash yet?

Immigration & law & order are patently not safe with limp wristed Heathite liberals like Cameron at the helm.

        • 87
          Socialism Ate My Future says:

Jez Kyle repeat is on, they’ll be out and about by 16:00

        • 174
          Tessa Tickles says:

There was a glaring difference between the smash-up and the clean-up brigades.

Perhaps there’s a cultural misunderstanding here. Maybe the looting is some form of celebration, a way of expressing gratitude for the £11billion Dave gives away in foreign aid every year. “Thank you for giving my home country hundreds of millions of pounds! Here, let me demonstrate my pleasure by setting fire to a shop. It’s a great tradition in my country.”

        • 176
          Ichabod says:

Yes noticed that, not to mentioned in polite society of course but….the rioters , and certainly the looters, appeared to be mostly black , whilst those cleaning up appear to be white .

      • 91
        Frederikaaa says:

Great idea but would not be allowed!! So much for ‘big society’ eh? You didn’t really believe it did you lol?

        • 123
          misterned says:

It’s already happening you tit. Watch the video above. People are taking care of their own and each other.

          We need more of it.

    • 101

But the BBC is still focussed on NI and Murdoch.

Uk/politics front page still has ‘What about Osbourne?’ with the tag

“David Cameron was not the only member of the cabinet to have been close to the Murdochs.”

    • 224
      Sir William Waad says:

Chief Constable [of the Westt Midlands] Chris Sims said of the looting in the city centre: “This was not an angry crowd, this was a greedy crowd.”

    • 275

    Guido/Neo Guido

you have accses to twitter, Has Lee Jasper come out with any comments?

    • 63
      Muscle Horse says:

Yes, tell us – you’re so lucky to have access to Twitter! If only it were free and open to all.

      • 79
        Infuriated of West Mids says:

Yeah, except Lee Jasper’s tweets are locked to all but those who follow him. Funny that, isn’t it…

        • 105
          Charles Flaccidwidger says:

I’ve just tried following him (shudder) and his tweets still won’t appear. I suspect that Twitter authorities may have blocked Mr Jasper as his comments are often inflammatory (ie racist bollocks).

        • 114
          Tom Riddle says:

I’ve tried following Lee Jasper but his tweets are still unavailable. Might be that the Twitter authorities have locked them.

    • 120

Jasper was on the idiot box earlier spouting his clap trap.

  4. 5
    Moussa Koussa says:

Wetting myself. Guido and Hyena Boy Cambo is going to try and use the situation to promote his dead duck The Big Society. A major mistake…again

Today I’ve done some bottom fishing.

    • 81
      AC1 says:

No wonder you’re pissed off. Society is clearing up after the damage caused by Labours feral imports.

    • 97
      Engineer says:

…except, Moussa, that the evidence for the Big Society is at the top of this thread – local people coming together to clean up their own areas.

You really should learn to engage brain before posting comment.

      • 110
        Moussa Koussa says:

Sorry Engineer, I was too busy rimming Gordon and Ed to notice.

      • 112
        sockpuppet #4 says:

There are other suitable terms to describe what is going on that were not invented by PR wonkers in CCHQ

        • 166
          misterned says:

Whatever words you use to describe it, whether it be “big society” or “local community action”, it is the same thing and it works and we need more of it.

Koussa, your desperation is palpable. You are seeing the inevitable effects of labour’s long social experiment failing all around you and the people in the “big Society” stepping up to put it right.

The left have fucked this country completely and you are posting utterly delusional drivel to maintain your own fantasy reality.

          Just fuck off.

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

            I’m not koussa.

Using words like “big society” does sound a little like the government/a political party is appropriating the actions of other people. As if we can shake the hands of that bloke on the Bike and Dave for the efforts of individuals who choose to do good things.

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

Oh- hold on-. Its not Guido or the conservative party who brought the expression up. Its a Koussa’s prediction (hence ignored), but re-used by Engineer. I hope in reality CCHQ does have more sense than Engineer – it could be a PR disaster.

          • misterned says:

The first part of my comment was to you sockpuppet #4.

The rest of it was to Koussa, as stated by the bit that started, “Koussa, your despera…”

        • 274
          Engineer says:

Sockpuppet#4 – just because it has been given a silly name by a policy wonk doesn’t make it any less real or valid – it’s about decent local people co-operating to help each other and improve the common good.

It’s a damn sight more powerful than any sneering that Moussa Koussa or his fellow brain-dead lefty drones can ever come up with.

    • 206

While you’re on a roll, and seeing as ‘apologist’ has been one of your favourite words the last few weeks, any chance you can condemn Ken Livingstone as the apologist that he is for trying to excuse the rioters on the basis of non-existent ‘cuts’?

It’s not like you to miss a chance to use your new word, since you have done so unprompted on several occasions; but Ken’s pronouncements seem to have escaped your attention.

Or does the term ‘apologist’ magically not apply to anyone whose rosette just happens to be red?

      Which is it?

Hmm, what was rascist in my comment? Lawful, decent people, whoever they may be need to to get down the street and clean it up. Completely show the looters up for what they are. If they do this to their community, they do not deserve to be part of the community.

      Major d'Isorda says:

Sadly, if you think that the Government could call in the Army and have any effect, you are dead wrong. The government has lost the respect and confidence of the ordinary service men and women. If I were instructed to shoot looters I would refuse and I would refuse to order anybody else to shoot. Not because it is wrong but because I would be certain that the government would betray the troops.

The political class have caused this by their cowardly pandering to racist black people and a refusal to apply the law evenly and fairly. Once again, however, the ordinary law abiding people must pay the price for the corrupt, venal, inept hypocrisy of the political class.

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”.

On another note, dunno if anyone has ever read this EU report which I find all rather shocking

We are used to the EU blowing its own trumpet, planting stories in the BBC, funding journalists to visit Brussels and to travel with senior eurocrats, publishing children’s comics promoting Captain Euro, and funding Jean Monnet chairs at British universities. I can almost live with that.

BUT! Until I saw this shock report, I had no idea that the EU was actually spending rather large sums – £250 million pounds over the last three years – — promoting left-wing causes in America.

In the land of the free? In a country that shares a Judeo-Christian cultural heritage with us?

A country whose Constitution is the very model of a free society — and compares extremely well with the EU’s half-assed clumsy attempts at a “Constitution”.

Jimmy's Quote Of The Day says:

Paul McKeever, Police Federation chairman, said the report confirmed his worst fears. “Cuts being implemented by this government will turn the clock back at least a decade by reducing police officers and police staff by over 34,000 by 2015. The knock-on effect will be police forces struggling to keep their heads above water as they try to deal with increasing demands and diminishing resources.”

But the Home Office minister James Brokenshire insisted the effectiveness of a police force did not depend on total numbers, but on how well it used its resources. “The HMIC report shows the police can and are rising to the challenge by reducing costs from the back office while protecting frontline services. HMIC predict that by March 2012 the proportion of the police workforce working in frontline roles will be higher than it was in March 2010.”

      misterned says:

Jimmy, far fewer numbers kept order prior to 2000. It is how one deploys the police resources that matters, not how many officer’s are employed.

These riots are a direct result of touchy feely politics that is the remit of all parties these days, and is now being shown to be the mistake it is. We need to stop promoting police officers with degrees in social policy to the highest ranks, stop political interference in policing, (because this is the outcome), train an Officer Class in the police who are competent to lead and direct properly, keep corruption out of the police and the best way to do this is to ban police officers being members of the Freemasons and senior Police Officers members of Common Purpose.

    Barnabas Scudamore says:

In my neck of the woods, recent immigration over a period of say 7 years, has led to an official influx of people of around the 8,000 mark. This is an official council figure. With a “local” population of around 80,000 – that means that 1 in every 10 or so people in my ancient royalist city, is now a foreign national.

When the average age is looked at, I think it is somewhere around the 24 / 25 years old mark.

The county has a large under 16 year old population and a large over 45 years old population.

In my ancient city, it therefore means that if trouble sparked up, I would feel very vulnerable.

      Barnabas Scudamore says:

Also, I have to wonder, that in an ancient Royalist ciy like mine, why there is such a large number of ex – USSR people hanging around – SLEEPERS I wonder?

Given the very nature and world significance of my Royalist city, again, it concerns me as we do not know who is here.

This looks too me like subversion from within.

This is very similar to the cambridge ring – approached with the SPECIFIC intent of getting into positions of responsibility – to stike mayhem when the time came.

I just hope the large “doughnut” over the county border from my Royalist stronghold, is working flat out.

Wow, how popular Boris is! He is giving an interview in Clapham and a large cowd of clear-up volunteers start chanting “Where’s your broom”. He picks one up to loud cheers.
Apart from a one barracker whining about “Wot abaht da black yoof?” and a very disgruntled lady shopkeeper who wanted to know why the cops couldn’t save her shop he seems to have good support.
More popular than Cameron, more popular than May ( Miliband only attracted a crowd of one person).
He seems to have a better touch than the others. Then again, the supporters were mainly women–perhaps they think that they are in with a chance.

Well, if the people who wanted to clean things up at Clapham Junction did come back at 1.00 they would still have had a wait – I walked past the same waiting crowd just after 2.00 and they were still waiting. Wait a minute! No, they just marched with diginity – . How do the Lefties and Bleeding Hearts explain that?

Cathy Jamieson MP, Labour’s Shadow Treasury minister, commenting on Treasury analysis of the economic impact of tax changes…

“If the Treasury is looking at the economic impact of tax changes, then surely it should examine the impact of the rise in VAT and cuts to tax credits? George Osborne’s £12 billion VAT rise knocked confidence, helped to choke off the recovery and has cost families £1,350 over the last three years.”
