HMIC predict that by March 2012 the proportion of the police workforce working in frontline roles will be higher than it was in March 2010.”
Jimmy, far fewer numbers kept order prior to 2000. It is how one deploys the police resources that matters, not how many officer’s are employed.
Labour kept 80% of the on duty police force inside stations filling in forms at any one time. Hardly an effective or efficient use of money or personnel.

This is all very well but once arrested our criminal justice system is not equipped to deal with wrongdoers. These kids are not scared of any punishment they are likely to incur. Even if they are imprisoned the system looks for early release as a means to create space in the overcrowded prisons. We need to look long and hard at what category of prisoner we incarcerate, when we do lock them up it must be an experience they never want to repeat.
Set up tented prison camps on Salisbury Plain – or Dartmoor, guarded by the RMP.

Over successive Governments, particularly the last one, the Police Force has been emasculated into a namby pamby community relations Institution. How many 5 foot nothing female police officers do you see these days? Lots of them, and through no fault of their own, they are totally useless in situations like this. These riots are a direct result of touchy feely politics that is the remit of all parties these days, and is now being shown to be the mistake it is. We need to stop promoting police officers with degrees in social policy to the highest ranks, stop political interference in policing, (because this is the outcome), train an Officer Class in the police who are competent to lead and direct properly, keep corruption out of the police and the best way to do this is to ban police officers being members of the Freemasons and senior Police Officers members of Common Purpose.

The police treat young people like shit. It’s not about the cuts. Loads of people I know have had their lives ruined by a criminal record at a young age, mostly for drug offences like having an ounce of cannabis on them. This isn’t just about black youths but young working class young people in general who have been criminalised by the police to get their drug convictions up.

In my neck of the woods, recent immigration over a period of say 7 years, has led to an official influx of people of around the 8,000 mark. This is an official council figure. With a “local” population of around 80,000 – that means that 1 in every 10 or so people in my ancient royalist city, is now a foreign national.
When the average age is looked at, I think it is somewhere around the 24 / 25 years old mark.
The county has a large under 16 year old population and a large over 45 years old population.
In my ancient city, it therefore means that if trouble sparked up, I would feel very vulnerable.
Also, I have to wonder, that in an ancient Royalist ciy like mine, why there is such a large number of ex – USSR people hanging around – SLEEPERS I wonder?
Given the very nature and world significance of my Royalist city, again, it concerns me as we do not know who is here.
This looks too me like subversion from within.
