Wet Dave is a seeks popularism and will say and do anything he thinks the public will like. These disgraceful politicians are so hypocritical it is sickening.

They are the ones who cuddled up to Murdoch when it suited; they are the ones who influenced the police decisions when it suited ie MPs expenses- there is no possible way that so few could attend court with over 300 MPs overpaid or fiddling their expenses. They ridiculed Yates over Blair’s cash for honours and did everything to scupper a proper investigation, they influenced the way Dr Kelly’s death would be investigated, they always manipulated criminal investigations in Northern Ireland. The corruption starts at Westminster and until that culture is changed then we will have plenty more scandals where politicians have their finger prints all over immorality of the subject area of the day.

The Conservatives in the conservative party really urgently NEED to ask themselves how long they will continue being led by this shite wank-stain lefty PM.

ALL the corruption, hacking, criminality happened on Labour’s watch, with the complicity of NIs spinners in the labour leadership.

Cameron has allowed the stomach wrenching hypocrisy of labour’s lies about their long parasitic relationship with NI to be wholly ignored.

It becomes clearer by the day that Cameron is totally signed up to the same lefty Guardian/BBC agenda.

All day yesterday, the BBC carried Brown’s blatant, obvious lies about the Sun, without question, clarification or balance. They gleefully and repeatedly reported Browns total and bare face lies as complete and total truth.

This morning the BBC has not uttered a word of apology.

What really pisses me off is that without NI (for all their faults) we will be left with an enemy media in this country. The vast majority of the media will be pro-EU, Pro Climate alarm, politically correct, third way traitors.

Cameron is totally signed up to that and has cravenly capitulated to that agenda and by so doing, is making Ed Miliband look like he has leadership potential.

Today’s PMQs will be a craven, cowardly capitulation to that agenda as Cameron will sickeningly follow and agree with all that Miliband says.

Even that loathsome, useless prick Miliband will slaughter Cameron at today’s PMQs. I cannot imagine how Cameron could win today, for he has already surrendered.

          Man on omnibus says:

          So, in summary:

          1. Guardian report 29 Nov 2006, published on-line at 21:10, revealed by Gordon Brown with quotes from Cooper and a spokesman for Brown.
          2. BBC website publishes article 29 Nov 06 at 22:42 with extensive quotes from the Browns, a spokesman, Cameron, Cooper, Ed Owen (friend and political advisor to Brown), John Brown (brother), Rosie Barnes (CE of CF Trust) and only Blair declining to comment
          2. Sympathetic Sun article appears next day on 30 Nov 06 with quotes from friend and a Treasury spokesman. The article compliments Brown for introducing imminent nationwide genetic testing of babies.

Yet Gordon claims that the Sun intruded and published news about his son. It was already in the public domain from the Guardian and BBC! If anything, NI were late getting on board.

Looks like an unconvincing smear attempt.

And this is where Dave is wrong in placating Red Ed. There is NOT one shred of evidence that Murdoch authorised phone tapping or cop bribing. Yet the PM of the United Kingdom is agreeing to kick a man when he is down with no evidence whatsoever that the man has done wrong. So much for democracy and the rule of law.

I suspect Cameron’s hand has been forced by being in coalition. The LibDems are rabidly anti- Murdoch. I imagine that they have said they would vote with Labour and Cameron has taken te decision not to reveal the divisions in government.

This is not an issue to die in a ditch over- Murdoch is clever enough to win this war without Cameron and win he will…eventually.

Cameron made a massive mistake in failing to dump ALL of this in labour’s lap immediately as ALL of it happened on labour’s watch whilst labour were rimming Murdoch for all they were worth.

What was the last, Stalinist, controlling, intrusive labour government doing whilst their best friends in Murdoch’s empire were complicit in criminality?

Labour’s lies and hypocrisy should be exposed to the world. Instead Cameron is covering up for labour and helping them.

‘Instead Cameron is covering up for labour and helping them.
The man is a lightweight fuckwit and should go and go NOW!’

As Pm he will expect that the inquiry will expose the labour party’s role in a lot of this …he knows his own party like all parties have always had to engage with the press in a strategy of grooming public opinion.

He is a pragmatist who knows that given the relevations thusfar he is forced to effectively delay the issue of BskyB.

To suggest that Rupert Murdoch knew the depth of wrongdoing and by extrapolation of that logic is not a right and proper person to eventually control BskyB is both wrong and very much against the public interest.

The sheltered nature of the BBc’s position in all of this is of continued concern. The bias is blisteringly hypocritical in the extreme.

This country’s backbone is writ in the legend of free speech and nothing should be done that prejudices the ability to get information out there in the public interest but the methods of getting it must be regulated otherwise the very thing we champion will be irretrievably undermined.

To my simple mind, the way The Sun handled the whole issue of the medical affair was fair and decent. They consulted Brown before printing, and wrote the story with the assistance and co-operation of Brown’s colleagues. Brown was so disgusted that he, of course, refused to have anything more to do with the Sun and its editor …didn’t he??

Greece cannot payback any of the billions it has borrowed for the first loan it will use the second loan to pay off the interest on the first one
Ireland will be needing a second bailout by 2013

I’m getting increasingly alarmed by how the whole hacking thing is playing out.

Whilst hacking the phones of the families of murder victims (or dead soldiers) to get juicy bits of news is obviously distasteful (and illegal), I really don’t like the way that it’s being used as an emotional bargaining chip to curb the overall freedom of the press.

    Was it illegal? Yes.

Because it was illegal, does that mean that anything that any media organisation does should always be within the law?

Well, not in my opinion, no.

If illegal means are the only way to find out and prove that, say, a Prime Minister is a raving madman who doesn’t understand anything that he’s doing and who’s the kind of person that is willing to use the illness of his own baby to try and initially get public sympathy for a few extra political votes and to then also use the illness of his own baby to try and take-down someone who switched their allegience, then I don’t really want those means completely taken out of existence.

I *want* to know when a politician is a lying cheating evil sociopathic bastard, and if the only way to prove that is via illegal means, then so be it.

The whole things reeks of McCarthyism, it’s all been blown completely out of proportion and is becoming somewhat frightening.

    Shock news:
Journalists use underhand means to get juicy bits of gossip and to find out what the powers-that-be are doing.

Well, it’s not really shock news, is it? It’s been going on in one form or another ever since the first newspaper was printed. And it’s the only way that you’ll ever be able to hold governments to account.

The previous government knew all about it, and deliberately tried to keep it under wraps because they were being supported by the press at the time.

Gordon Brown is a known sociopathic lying evil bastard whose henchmen in the past smeared everyone from soldiers to the heads of children’s charities.

I *want* people like Murdoch to hack the phones of people like Brown.

How come there isn’t the same outcry from the BBC/Guardian about the illegal acts that were used for finding out the extent of the expenses scandal?

Witch-hunts are always alarming, especially when the people doing the hunting are only doing so simply because the hunted switched allegience from the hunters to the hunters’ political opposition.

I hope this all calms down soon and gets put into perspective.

I WANT our media to act illegally in some instances, and I WANT our police to pass information to the press when it’s not always legal; I don’t want the police to be so scared of recriminations that you can’t find a single copper in the whole force who’s willing to give to the newspaper a smoking gun which proves that the person running/ruining the country is a moronic sociopathic lunatic.

So, my advice to the left wing press is:

“calm down, dear; I’d rather have a press doing some underhand stuff than a country where nobody can find out anything about what the government is doing and where your company will be shut-down by the left-wing media whenever you get so much as a parking ticket – put it all into perspective, and look at the bigger picture before it gets out of hand.”

With all this, my worst nightmare would be that Sky News is somehow taken out by the rabid left wing press; imagine a world where the only news channel left standing in the uk is the BBC; fuck me, that’d be a scary world to live in.

Fair comment Anon…..there is a definite two edged sword effect of exercising heavy handed control of the press. This isn’t Syria…we are not going through an arab spring and whilst it is disgusting that the dowler…7/7 victims matters etc are being uncovered this is nothing that hasn’t been going on since times immemorial.

The hypocricy of many news organisations professing indignation of things many have been doing themselves is fatally short sighted. If they are thinking they can somehow slip under the radar as NI takes a public thrashing they should think again. In reality they are going to eventually be drawn into the wider issues raised and will look even more crass when the facts out.

I do not agree Anon that on balance it is right to allow the press or indeed anyone to use illegal hacking type actions to gather information because to do so would just encourage the practices currently exposed to continue with quasi government approval. I do agree the public interest argument is powerful.. understandable and legitimate in contention but ‘on balance’ wrong in fundament.

The country does need a big ‘wake up’ call to ask how people like keith Vaz can weasel themselves into positions where they can lecture others on the morals of being forthcoming or economic with facts or truth. He is not alone in the frame and if anything can be relished to behold it is the chance to hear MPs wriggling under oath to answer questions we all know they never want to answer candidly. The particularly well honed labour tactic of indignant display is risibly obvious and expedient in the extreme.

Rupert Murdoch and his family are savvy operators who as I posted last night are king makers not crown takers…they are made of strong stuff and will all be horrified at what has gone on but nailing them to the mast will do nothing to change the past, little to discourage others in the future and probably allow
some to slip away to smug safety.

    The Sun Says says:

    The Sun and Gordon Brown
FOR nine days News International has been under siege as a result of the behaviour of a number of News of the World journalists several years ago.
The Sun had not been dragged into the scandal, though it was obvious our commercial rivals and political enemies were desperate for it to happen.
Then, on Monday, they reported that in 2006 The Sun illegally “obtained” – or even “hacked” – the medical records of Gordon Brown’s infant son Fraser and found he had cystic fibrosis.
The story was fed to our eager rivals by “friends” of the former Prime Minister.

We will not let it stand.
We never saw Fraser’s records. The story came from a member of the public, making the kind of call all newsdesks receive by the score every day.
It was a snippet of information from the parent of a child with cystic fibrosis who had a desire to raise awareness of the condition. (He got his way too. Individual donations to the leading cystic fibrosis charity almost doubled.)
The Sun confirmed the sad news with Sarah Brown, who gave us their consent to run it. Without that consent we would not have published. It would have breached the PCC code.
The Browns worked with us on the story through the Chancellor’s office and provided quotes. And they didn’t complain about our coverage.
It would be odd for a newspaper not to investigate information like this in the sensitive way we did.
And once we ran the story online and No11 issued a statement, every major news outlet in Britain saw no harm in covering it.
Those same papers now sanctimoniously baying for The Sun’s blood gave Fraser’s condition massive coverage themselves. They include The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mirror and Daily Mail.
    What hypocrisy they have shown.
In a BBC interview yesterday Mr Brown tried to link The Sun with alleged criminality at News International and made a series of claims apparently calculated to mire us in the scandal.
“I have never talked about Fraser in public”, said the man who has done so three times on television.
“I never had a good relationship with News International”, said the man who, with his wife, cheerfully attended News International social gatherings both before and after the story.
“News International deserted Labour because I stood up to them.”
    Again he is mistaken.
The Sun deserted Labour solely because the party failed Britain and wrecked the economy.
Mr Brown should face up to those failures.
Not seek revenge by misrepresenting how The Sun has behaved towards him.

So this has all happened under the Tories who have been in power for a year. Nothing to do with Labour then. People that deny labour’s culpability should tell the truth, and not hide behind labour lies.

The people who should be blamed are those who use credit cards.

If you use a credit card, you are a twat and are part of the problem.

Its happened because we bailed out the banks (because the banks scared us into doing so) instead of doing the right thing, which was to let them go bankrupt and be replaced by better banks.

Let them go bust, strip their assets, then allow foreign banks to take over. Simples.

Iceland did not bail out their banks and they doing fine. “We have to bail them out” was bullshit propaganda created by the banks.

So if we let them go bust there would be no deficit and unprecedented debt?

Here was me thinking it was Gordon throwing money at an ever growing bloated public sector, spending three times as much on benefits as defence, opening up the borders so that we had the biggest immigration since the Saxons came, many of whom went straight ion to benefits. I won’t mention selling the nation’s gold reserves or the pension raids.

At least the banks are paying us back.

The banks haven’t paid me back. Where’s this money they are supposedly paying back, eh? Oh, its going to the politicians, quelle surprise.

Here’s an idea; let people be paid in cash instead of forcing everyone to have a bank account.

Abolish child benefit for anyone earning over 30k.
Make lazy stay at home mums get off their fat backsides and work instead of sponging off their husbands.

Phase out schools completely and replace them with home-schooling.

Privatising the Police Farce would save alot of money, its high time their fat pensions were slashed. Might as well make them official corporate whores, seeing as they are already treasonous, lazy scumbags.

            Cut Judges pensions by 70%.
MPs should only be paid minimum wage.
Prime Minister and Cabinet should not be paid, they should do their job as a public service for nothing.

Likewise pull out of Libya and Afghanistan and sell off the territorial army (who are just a bunch of jobsworths anyhow), and while we are at it privatise the Royal Navy so they can make money by selling their services to all and sundry.

BTW The immigration, I might add, is primarily the result of the CBI, who want cheap labour to drive wages down. You can’t stop immigration because the spivs in the City want it. Shit for you and me, but it makes their bonuses even bigger.

Stripping the rail companies of government subsidies would also save a ton of money. They are private compnaies and as such should stand on their own two feet and stop being fat scummy parasites.

    Simple solution to US Debt:

Abolish agriculture subsidies. Are American farmers completely retarded? Work, you lazy fucks!
Slash the Pentagon’s ridiculous budget by 30%. The Stupid Yanks won’t even audit the Spentagon, so Lockheed continue to bum-fuck the US taxpayer.
End all Corporate Welfare; Lockheed, Halliburton, Blackwater, Dyncorp and the various other gangsters and paedos should stop sponging off the US Taxpayer.
Erik Prince’s boys raping Iraqi girls, all paid for by the stupid US taxpayer.

    Abolish Bush’s Medicare Part E.

AMERICANS, STOP TAKING DRUGS YOU DON’T FUCKING NEED, STOP FEEDING YOUR KIDS RITALIN, YOU DUMB FAT SHITS. US DOCTORS ARE DRUG DEALERS, IGNORE THE FUCKING SHITS.

The Americans deserve to go bankrupt for being such war-mongering millitarists. Honestly, they need to stop worshipping the Hunts at the Pentagon, who are almost all treasonous corporate whores.

This is what happens when a nation spends vast sums on stupid toy weapons because it has the collective mental age of a four year old.

A Heartwwarming Tale Of The Sun & The Spaz Children
The source the Sun refers to is such a smashing fellow, who only dun it to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, cos he was like, in the hospital and accidentally came upon the fact that Brown was there and that his son had CF, whereupon it suddenly occurred to him, “I need to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis immediately by telling the leading authority on Cystic Fibrosis…The Sun! F*** those charities, I’m gonna tell the Sun and make all the little sick children smile.”

And lo, this noble soul, who only dun it to help da kidz, did contact the Sun, and did tip them off over Brown’s little baby boy thing. Rebekah did smile and express delight at “Gordon’s little diseased boy thing”. The noble hero only asked for one thing in return for his noble act of tipping off about someone’s baby.
    One, precious, heartfelt gift.
