IMF Bailout Billions to be Debated

Tomorrow morning the Statutory Instruments Committee in Committee Room 14 of the Commons will consider for 90 minutes the extra £9.5 billion the government proposes to export to the IMF en route to Greece and probably the ECB. That is some £105 million per minute of debate. £9.5 billion is a lot of care for the aged.

Hat-tip: John Redwood

          This is the government’s indirect way to help the bail out of the Eu countries like Greece without saying it was direct from us the taxpayer. Specious bastards. CaMoron appears to have so much money to throw away it appears difficult to understand why there are cuts.

      MP: A P will do nicely, thank you. Bailout approved.

    Billy Bowden is the greatest umpire ever ! says:

    Sorry, just seen it is to be debated (so not voted on) , if MPs gave a fuck about taxpayers they would force the goverment to bring a motion to the floor of the house and remove the 3 line whip (on all sides) and let MPs put the intrest of the taxpayer above the intrest of riding on the EU gravy train.

    If a vote is taken on the floor of the house then we can each hold our members of parliament to account for the way they voted!

    Call me Dave, thought that the British voters would be too thick to work out his subterfuge with Murky Merkel. As if the EU would have acquiesced quite so quickly if he had really refused to contribute to the Greek bail out.

    The prick is happy to turn a blind eye to the appalling care that our elderly receive in hospital and via social services and while pleading poverty will give funnel £105 million to the EU.

    Similarly, he ring fences hundreds of millions for International Development because countries that can afford their own space programmes like India, and ones that have their own nuclear programme such as Pakistan still have vast pockets of poverty!

    What the fuck does he think is being perpetrated on the pensioners in this country?

    Man is a Hunt.

    Sandra says:

    Duplicitous rusty Dave strikes again.

    He said he would not bail out Greece or the Euro – yet that is exactly what will happen to the £9 billion in extra payments to the IMF from British taxpayers.

    The IMF is now just a Euro slush fund – billions are going to be wasted propping up the federalist dream of a unified Europe even though it has already failed.

    Lets remind ourselves of the other ballot box shy European movements that sought a unified Europe:

    * Fascism

    * Socialism

    * National Socialism

    * Communism.

    Why rusty Dave is propping up the EU is beyond most Tory voters – thats why we are voting UKIP next time.

    I told you the Stock Market would be going up. This decision will push it up even further. Sometime either later this year or 2012 we will have the greatest shorting opportunity of a lifetime. This will be the last push up, before the inevitable collapse in all asset values. You have been warned!

Find out more about PLMR AD-MS

The Economist asks Tony Blair about Wendi Deng:

“Mr Blair roundly denies any impropriety. Asked whether he was (at least) careless about his reputation, he says calmly that it is “not something I will ever talk about—I haven’t and I won’t”, and then bangs his coffee cup so loudly into its saucer that it spills and everyone in the room jumps. But did he find himself in a tangle over his friendship with Ms Deng? A large, dark pool of sweat has suddenly appeared under his armpit, spreading across an expensive blue shirt. Even Mr Blair’s close friends acknowledge that the saga damaged him—not least financially, since Mr Murdoch stopped contributing to Mr Blair’s faith foundation and cut him off from other friendly donors in America.”
