Guy News Special: Inside the Guardian’s Tax Dodges

Something tells Guido that the campaign against Guardianista hypocrisy is getting to Polly:

Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Motes and beams Polly, motes and beams…

So is Fatty saying tax dodging wrong ? Or is he saying it’s wrong to complain about them ?

You’re either fine with tax dodgers or you aren’t.

So don’t fucking pretend you’re not a complete hypocrite either when your complaining about them here and you don’t give a shit about when other people like your hero Rupert Murdoch uses them.

“I’m not the one complaining about people dodging tax!”

What the fuck do you call this then ???

Why don’t you get your own moniker? It makes it very difficult to follow if people use fake handles.

Think it is reasonably straight forward. The article points out that the Guardian claims to have a moral purpose to serve society, it editorialises claiming that corporations undermine society by quite legally holding assets offshore and avoiding tax. It claims this to be immoral.

The Guardian does exactly what it says to be immoral. This hypocrisy is unique to the Guardian.

I think the point is, apparently it’s OK when the socialists do it.

Like it was OK for Labour to pay private companies to provide NHS services, but when the Tories do it, its privatisation and the end of the world.

It was OK for non-dom’s Lord Paul and Lakshmi Mittal to give money to the Labour Party, but not when Ashcroft did it.

It was terrible when the Tories sold off the railways, but when Labour had the chance to bring Network Rail and Connex South Eastern back into public ownership they didn’t, because privatisation is OK when they do it.

Its bad to be a Tory Millionaire, but again OK if you are Margaret Hodge, Geoffrey Robinson, Harriet Harman, Baroness Scotland or Shaun Woodward

And of course their venom is reserved for the lowest of the low, the Bankers… er, unless you happen to be the former Rothchilds investment banker Liam Byrne

I keep posting that ALL 911 theories are conspiracy theories and I have not yet seen proof to support any of them, on both sides of the “truther” argument.

The tin-hat nutters have not provided proof of inside job, AND the official 911 commission members have disowned their own report.

There is NO proof for who ordered and carried out and allowed that attacks to succeed.

I will NOT claim it is an inside job, without proof!

As I have claimed over and over and over again on many threads on this site.

You can’t be as wilfully stupid as you pretend. Its not possible to accidentally misinterpret what’s being discussed. It must be deliberate.

THE GUARDIAN DELIBERATELY AVOIDS PAYING TAX TO INCREASE PROFITS.
THE GUARDIAN CAMPAIGNS AGAINST TAX AVOIDANCE BY BANKS.

THE BANKS USE EVERY POSSIBLE RUSE TO AVOID PAYING TAX.
THEY DON’T CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE GUARDIAN.

Do you get it now? Have someone on your march against reality explain it to you. Even Alan Johnson could grasp this simple premise. Even Ed Balls understands it. Even big brain Gordon can see that what the Guardian does is no different to what MPs did fiddling expense claims to ensure the most gains whilst lecturing everyone else on benefit cheats.

How could you not grasp this?

Well, really, it’s a lot worse than that. HMG takes in somewhere around £550bn in taxes – its currently borrowing around £150bn. Now, to my mind, that means they’re actually borrowing over 25% of their annual income this year and a lot bigger percentage last year.

I never ever supported the Iraq invasion. As for Afghan, I approved of the UN and NATO backed mission to overthrow the AL Qaeda supporting Taliban, but that mission lost its way.

The Libyan mission is completely different. If you cannot understand why, then you are a clueless fuckwit.

For the record, I am wholly and 100% opposed to a land-based invasion and occupation of Libya. It should be for the Libyan people to determine their own future, something which cannot happen so long as Gaddafi is slaughtering the Libyan people, and something which STILL has not happened in Iraq.

We are right to destroy Gaddafis weaponry, but would be wrong to invade, occupy and attempt to nation-build.

Also we have not sold weaponry to Libya for decades. The only British association Libya has with weapons, are the Libyan weapons which were used against British civilians on British soil, by the IRA.

Just looked at the Sure Start website. This is why Sure Start is a great thing:

“How children’s centres can help you.

They’re somewhere your child can make friends and learn as they play [ what's wrong with the street?]. You can get professional advice on health and family matters [ buy a 'family health' book or visit your pharmacist or GP], learn about training and job opportunities [erm, visit an employment agency or job centre? Hello?] or just socialise with other people [how about going to the pub?].”

What a fucking colossal waste of our money.

No more than a miracle than eating food and a turd coming out of your ass. It’s a chemical reaction, that’s all it fucking is. If, you wanna know what a miracle is: raisin’ a kid that doesn’t talk in a movie theatre. Okay, there, there, there is a goddam miracle. It’s not a miracle if every nine months any yin yang in the world can drop a litter of these mewling cabbages on our planet. And just in case you haven’t seen the single mom statistics lately, the miracle is spreading like wild-fire. “Hallelujah!” Trailer parks and council flats all over the world just filling up with little miracles. Thunk, thunk, thunk, like frogs laying eggs. “Thunk, look at all my little miracles, thunk, filling up my trailer like a sardine can. Thunk. You know what would be a real miracle, if I could remember your daddy’s name, aargh, thunk. I guess I’ll have to call you Lorry Driver Junior. Thunk. That’s all I remember about your daddy was his fuzzy little pot-belly riding on top of me shooting his caffeine ridden semen into my belly to produce my little water-headed miracle baby, urgh. There’s your brother, Pizza Delivery Boy Junior.”

O/T but at around 11.00a.m. the BBC’s normally stone faced Sophie Long was gleefully reporting from the TUC’s anti-cuts demo when Ed Balls and his entourage walked past. Despite being pulled about by Balls’ goons, an angry bloke buttonholed Ed and demanded to know what he was going to do about “institustionalised child abuse” and “paedophilia in childrens’ homes”.

Blinkie’s eyelids fluttered faster than usual and he stuttered a few uninteligable words to the angry bloke. Blinkie then walked away, ignoring the bloke , who was jostled away by Balls’ heavies. Long then spoke to Blinkie and asked what the bloke wanted. Balls replied the man was worried about child abuse and “THE CUTS TO CHILDRENS’SERVICES.” It clearly shows what a reugnant, lying sack of shit Blinkie really is. I hope someone can post the clip onto this site so everyone can see Balls’ dishonesty.

He is concerned about institutionalised, organised child abuse and pedo rings run from children’s homes. He and his sister grew up in care and were abused for years.

Blinky is a lying sack of shit.

I remember Polly writing an article about adult illiteracy featuring a woman whose mother had kept her at home from age four to age eight because the child’s father had walked out and the mother had liked having her company.

And yes, Polly made it the father’s fault. Entirely. In Polly’s world the blame for anything which goes wrong always ends up with a man. No use telling her that it was the mother’s duty to send her daughter to school and that children are not here to provide company for their parents; that’s not something Polly would understand.

      Stéphane Courtois a French historian, an internationally known expert on communist studies states that;
“Communist regimes…turned mass crime into a full-blown system of government”.
He also cites a death toll which totals 94 million, not counting the “excess deaths” due to decrease of the population due to lower than-expected birth rates.

The breakdown of the number of deaths given by Courtois is as follows:

65 million in the People’s Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union
      2 million in Cambodia
      2 million in North Korea
      1.7 million in Africa
      1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
      1 million in Vietnam
      150,000 in Latin America
10,000 deaths “resulting from actions of the international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power.”

Courtois claims that Communist regimes are responsible for a greater number of deaths than any other political ideal or movement, including Nazism. The statistics of victims includes executions, intentional destruction of population by starvation, and deaths resulting from deportations, physical confinement, or through forced labor.

“More than 250,000 people have attended a march and rally in central London against public spending cuts.” says the BBC.

I didn’t bother watching the news today as I didn’t want to see it being spun as “everyone in the country is against the government”.

    250,000 demonstrators.
    60million people in the country.

250,000 probably barely makes up 10% of public sector union members, let alone normal people.

What’s their alternative to cutting spending (an alternative that doesn’t lead the country into bankruptcy that is) ?

    It seems to be:
    1) First you increase taxes so that anyone earning over £100k (apart from union bosses and guardian journalists and BBC staff) gets taxed at 100%.
    2) Then, once those earners have left the country, and you’re only left with the left wing extremists and the champagne socialists, you turn the UK into something resembling North Korea.

There’s absolutely no alternative that makes any sense being offered by labour or by labour followers/voters. All they can say is “nasty tories are cutting spending”, but when you point out “well, it’s either that or we go bankrupt, so what would you do?” then they just go quiet for a moment, and then they repeat “nasty tories are cutting spending”.

It’s not as if taxing the banks and oil companies (or eliminating tax evasion) would do the job; all that combined wouldn’t even touch the structural deficit let alone the total outstanding debt as it’d be absolute fucking peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

I don’t think much of their “let’s march in London to convince the government that they should lead the UK into bankruptcy” strategy.
I wish labour would just fuck off and die, along with the BBC.

Listened to the radio 4 news 6 o’clock news yesterday. The reports of the TUC march in London included the “activists” who had got into and started smashing up Fortnum & Mason’s. According to the newsreader they did it because it was a symbol of wealth and inequality in Britain. Details of the attack were telephoned in to the Beeb by a BBC producer who happened to be in the shop when the “activists” stormed in.

Oh the irony, an employee of a publicly funded body rich enough to go shopping in a well known symbol of wealth and inequality in Britain.

On the other hand if I break in to my corner shop and smash it up can I tell the magistrate that I am not a criminal but an “activist”?

Bloody useless policing of riots...again says:

I was always under the impression that the wearing of scarves to hide your face or wearing motor cycle hlmets etc on a march(or riot for that matter)was an arrestable offence(or does that just apply to E*D*L marches ?).It is surely simple for those wearing such disguises to be arrested under public order offences should they refuse to remove them when asked by a police officer to do so. If it needs an order by the Home Secrtary under her powers to allow the police to do this then she should give it and not be so bloody scared of the response from Liberty and other lefties in the media who would be the first to complain if these people trashed their property etc

It was obvious to anybody(apart from plod it seems)from internet chatter over the days preceding the march that elements would be targetting central London and they should have reacted accordingly or was it perhaps from fear that with Liberty monitoring the operation from Scotland Yard they would be accused of heavy policing…who the fuck cares…these people were bloody anarchists ,criminals and troublemakers so ir seems that it’s ok for them to throw lethal missiles but not for the police to baton or kettle them

At that time, I think, the editor (Peter Preston) would have been on about 50 per cent more than I. Certainly less than double.
