+ + + “Handycock” Loses Injunction Battle + + +

Breaking : A judge has this evening  found for Les Cumming, who was injuncted by the controversial LibDem MP Mike Hancock, after making allegations of sexual impropriety against “Handycock”. The judge struck out Hancock’s claim completely, criticising his legal team in no uncertain terms. Hancock was also ordered to pay £5,000 legal costs. More to follow…

Cumming & Hancock: a serious challenge for the junk mail filters I’d have thought.

Sounds like a not very propitious opening partnership for a Test Match TT

MENCAP must have been where he honed his chat up skills….

    OT.

I am Very concerned about plans to sell off British waterways.

Takes me back to the short sighted Beeching railways axe all those years ago. Spending cuts are of course correct, be it family or Government but there has to be great care not to destroy the family heirlooms.

It depends what takes up the duties. If the major responsibilities can be covered in some way not yet disclosed, then fair enough.

I think you may be on the right track.

Bloody shame though. After decades of neglect the canals of late have become a great place to boat, walk, cycle or just be at. In me yoof they were considered rubbish tips and an eyesore.

If Dave is really serious about the greenstuff he will realise that the British Canal system is more much more important than the windmill on his chimney.

And as for the engineering involved in creating the canals. IT is quite extraordinary and should be celebrated.

        • 21
          Engineer says:

There was a proposal – or idea, anyway – to rent canal bed-space for fibre-optic telecommunications cables, which may give the system an attractive rental income without affecting it’s recreational uses. If this works, the canal network might be a commercially attractive proposition.

          • Barge pole says:

I think it became more than an Idea. On several tow paths that I cycle along there are manhole covers saying Fibre optics below.

Makes me mad though to see so many old railway tracks axed by Beeching that just got filled in or dug up. FFS they could have been, cycle tracks, footpaths, roads or even railways/tram tracks..

This is great news. Les Cummings et al stood against Handycock at the last General. Their party: The Justice and Anti-Corruption Party. 63 votes, I think.

See final sentence in Para 4.

This statement is not true and was not true at the time.

Proof that the Portsmouth NEWS is in Handycock’s pocket, just like the police and everyone else covering up for him.

There’s only one sentence in Para 4. Is this what you mean?

        Totally untrue!

Hancock has always had the news in his pocket.

Even when the story came out in the Sunday Times last month it only made the inside page.

His property in Fareham has been taken over by the press this morning though and their is a rumour in Portsmouth that a story is fast developing.

    noncewatcher says:

You can take the man out of Portsea but you can’t take Portsea out of the man. No matter what he is accused of and been shown to have done, he will not resign. He has too much to lose and nothing to replace it with. Honour will have nothing to do with his consideration of his position, as he neither has any nor understands it. When you have been getting away with as much as he has over many years, it is natural to think you can continue to do so. It will be very interesting to see what the police come up with, as they have known about these things for a long time, and done nothing about it.

Meanwhile the local Conservatives are calling for a special meeting to get Hancock suspended from his Cabinet duties on the council.

      High Court Judge says:

‘Recently due to legal technicalities I had some legal costs awarded against me as a result of this.’

says Handycock the Nonce on his website.

To translate ‘The judge awarded me a temporary injunction so that I could bring suit against Les Cummings for defamation, for alleging that I am a paedophile. I did not commence legal action within the timescale nor do I intend to bring legal action, for as Les Cummings says,
‘If it’s true, you can’t sue.” Besides he would not be able to pay any damages, in the unlikely case that I won. My reputation and integrity, of course, are entirely irrelevant.’
