Quote of the Day

Michael Caine said

“You’re saying to poor people, ‘let’s tax those rich gits’ and I understand that. You slice up the cake, give everyone a chance, but don’t destroy the people that are making the bloody cake! I really believe about taking care of people, I don’t mind paying tax. It’s how the government spends my tax that I detest, really detest, because I see the waste. More money than all our income tax is spent on benefits. Now you tell me there is nothing wrong with that system.”

A great comment from someone who has spent his life pretending to be things and people he ain’t!

Not rocket science is it. Make a system so complicated as this and it is, by it’s very nature, going to be expensive to administer.

    Great quote IMO

Another Tory “patriot” who went to live abroad so that he could escape paying taxes in his own country.

Reminds me of his mate Sir Sean, the Scottish Nationalist who lives anywhere but Scotland…

Lectures from them we shall not take…

Micheal Caine has a point, regardless of your predictable smear.

        It’s a fact.

If you think it’s a smear, that means you dislike the fact.

Which means you secretly agree with me…..

BTW, what is it with the Tories and tax exiles…?

I beleive they’ve even got one as a Vice Chair of the Party…

I like the thread of that comment. Sir Michael Caine is a man who made something of his life and is the ideal status symbol.

That’s the kind of non political statement that we need more of in this campaign.

Here is a QUOTE for you – the Liberal Democrat candidate for North Dorset is one Emily Gasson who fancies herself as half of the Lib Dem replacement team for Balls and Cooper ( Emily is married to Lib Dem MP Edward Davey who represents Kingston and Surbiton) so the half a mill a year is really attractive. Also once North Dorset goes Lib Dem the Tories will never get it back and next door Oliver Leftwing is about to lose his cushy seat (bookies have a Lib Dem win at 6 to 1 )
So what will the people of North Dorset get from Ms Gasson? Assumptions.

She called on a mate of mine who is from Wolverhampton and has the speech impediment associated with people from there who elongate their words. Before the poor man could add anything to his comment that he was from Wolverhampton, Gasson primly told him “Well there is no point in you voting Labour down here so you may as well vote for me or if you dislike Europe vote for UKIP!”. So stunned was my naturally conservative friend that he is considering voting Labour in protest to her rudeness. “She never explained what her policies were, she just took it upon herself to assume I was a Labour voter!” he told me. Well that shows how well she does her research.

Seems to me Guido that Zanuliebor have put a hit team attacking your website.

Caine is an icon of the film as most of these readers remember. He is the perfect champion of this cause, and it must be right because BBC radio 4 gave it exactly 6 seconds while going on about Conservative funding for over 30.
We need a Carter to address Mandy and Balls (not the solicitors)

Tax exile, so what? Just shows how we are forcing people out and proving him right.
