Meanwhile Over at Southwark Crown Court…

The three Labour MPs facing criminal charges went in the back of the Southwark Crown Court to avoid oinking protestors staging a mock execution of a pig-like MP under a banner proclaiming “Hang ‘Em All”.

Can’t think why they were so cowardly…

UPDATE : ITN reports the judge excused David Chaytor, Elliot Morley and Jim Devine from attending in person and just their lawyers attended. Guido understands that they are all represented at the taxpayers expense. Even their lawyers are at our expense…

If only we had some kind of blog to redress the Big Bad Corporations lefty cultural elitist Agenda. I mean how does an upper middle class Tory catch a break in the media these days – what they need is support from a media oligarch who owns the largest selling newspaper in the country, but fair dinkum to the Tories these sorts don’t grow on Eucalyptus trees. I am just wallowing in satire this morning Gullible – like a pig in clover (or the dock).

          • RAM this fuckweed says:

“what they need is support from a media oligarch who owns the largest selling newspaper in the country,”

Which of course is paid for voluntarily out of peoples own pockets, unlike the BBC, which is demanded under threat of imprisonment.

          • RAM says:

Fuckweed (love the name by the way) – what amuses me is how people such as yourself don’t realise how they are acting like Murdoch’s little b%&%H and buying straight into his BBC bashing as he seeks to exert an ever greater private corporate stranglehold over the British media. He hates the BBC not because its pro Labour (old Rup used to love filling Al Campbell’s head with thoughts of BBC bias) but because it impairs his ability to increase market share here – if you want the UK to go down the Fox US road fair enough. Tories just can’t wait to have a crack at the Evil Beeb under Rupert’s orders; I’m sure the Murdoch family expects something in return for those £30,000 of flights.

If it were three tories up in court the Government themselves would have built a 4 lane motorway from all parts of the UK to the very steps of the court in jig Time. This would have allowed as many coachloads of Journos and politics students to attend as possible. They would also have run a podcast of the hearings made available to the world. A dedicated satellite TV chanel would also be up and running, to cover the periods when the BBC have to show strickly come Dancing.

          • Disaffected says:

Don’t forget, Roninscum would be running 8 or 9 blogs and compare it to Ashcroft. Yesterday he failed to include important parts of Osborne’s conference, twisting it into Liebour spin. We’re paying that idiot as well from the imposed tax (license fee).

Guido, do you know who has paid for Tony’s transport back to the UK and around the country? Was it the taxpayer by any chance?

I also hear that MPs under the new rules are allowed to employ their husband/wife. I thought this was pretty much the old rules they complied with? I suppose this fits in with the sentiment Harperson’s equal Ops? equla unless it applies to her or her party! Don’t worry McSlug is going to clean up parliament, Brown won’t let you down.

Why bother with a “Citizens Arrest” This is surely what “International Arrest Warrants” were intended for ? Another O/T…

So,Labour will be proposing new rules for social care for the ever increasing elderly population.

Amongst these may well be a compulsory levy.

Well,boys..I’ve got news for you. After working hard all my fucking life,to provide my family with a decent home and quality of life;and paying exploding NI contributions, I am buggered if I am going to be forced to pay a compulsory levy in the twilight of that life.

Here’s an idea….How about stopping all the fucking benefits for those scrounging lazy bastards and immigrants who are sucking the life blood out of Society..and using that money to help people who have been worked all their lives, only to find that the fucking State doesn’t give a shit about them when they become economically inactive.

And they’re still paying fucking taxes for the priviledge of being humiliated.

      Infanta of Castile says:

It is very noticeable that, when Labour thought they hadn’t a hope in Hell of re-election, they made grand announcements about a National Care Service. Now, they think they might get back in and are kicking the whole thing into touch by announcing another Quangoesque body which will take years to come to the conclusion that it is all unaffordable. Unfortunately all political parties are afraid to confront the issue of whether or not it is appropriate for an elderly person to fund their own care by selling the house they no longer live in rather than relying on younger taxpayers who have fewer assets than they do. They also seem afraid to confront the problem of elderly people being allowed into this country to join family, only to be found to need long term care which they get free of charge ( including the obligatory interpreter service as well) because they have no traceable assets.

        Grim_Rapper says:

The idea that people can not allow their heirs to inherit property – but that it should devolve to the State upon death – has a slightly Marxist smell about it.
Why then not allow the State to own all property and for all inhabitants to pay rent for the privilege of living in them? Simply because the State would like its citizens to work hard to pay for their upkeep of properties that are effectively on loan to them.

I imagine the reason the three accused are not attending the Crown Court in person is because this relates to the invokation of the Bill of Rights with all sorts of legal mumbo jumbo left to the lawyers.

The three (and the rest) will have their day in court.

If they somehow wriggle out of this, then the only recourse will be direct public action.

Guido chuckled at the following exchange he had with a Tory insider:

Tory: “What’s Labour’s position on the Syria crisis?”

GF: They say you should be talking to Russia.”

Tory: “Labour have been saying that since 1945.”

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
