Of course Heath is a fucking traitor, I am not defending the tories here and anyone who has read my posts will be under no doubts about how I feel about them, but there were many industries that the tories in the 80′s and 90′s refused to allow overseas buyers to buy up. When did the French buy our electricity and our nuclear energy? It was not under the tories.

I do differentiate between the tories under Heath, the tories under Thatcher/Major and the tories now.

Heath was and always will be regarded as a treasonous traitor to this country.

Thatcher did a lot of what needed to be done but she went doo-lally at the end, was in power too long and lost touch (as a consequence of being in power too long). Major was a hopeless leader, a terrible and embarrassing communicator, but he implemented policy brilliantly. He turned the economy around in the 1990′s and handed over the best economic inheritance any incoming government has ever received.

Cameron reminds me far too much of Heath and I do not trust him in the least.

none of this detracts from the point being that LABOUR have sold many of our strategically important industries, and iconic British Brands to foreign owners. Under labour We have lost our entire car making industry to foreign ownership. Iconic British Marques like Rolls Royce and Bentley became German.

I hope that I am wrong about the proposed merger of the military with the French. IF we are only talking about having to get French private companies to help construct military hardware, then that is nothing new. The CVF contract was jointly awarded to BAe and Thales after all.

But to merge the Queen’s military with a foreign power??? I do not believe that this can be lawfully done. It is NOT Parliament’s military. It is the QUEENS!
