Poor Darling, having to lie for Gordon on a daily basis.

      Pitiful.

        jgm2 says:

You could see at the beginning he was very ashamed. He’s got more sanguine about it though.

        Shame.

Brown, by contrast, is so far deep in lies that he has no clue what the truth is any more. just says the first thing that comes into his head. Even if it completely contradicts something he said five minutes ago. There is only the ‘now’ lie.

        • 10
          The Philosopher says:

You can tell when Darling is lying because he raises his eyebrows, as if by doing so his lie becomes more believable.
Brown on the other hand is a habitual liar. Every time that c’unt opens his mouth he spouts a lie.
          Who needs lie detectors FFS?!

Eric Pickles = Tory John Prescott. A headline waiting to happen. says:

Darlings always been a Liar but he bored everyone to death so few noticed as they weren’t listening.

Since the Conservatives have now fucked up their spending cuts ‘policy’ Porker Pickles will be wheeled out to bumble and splutter foolishly again.

Douglas Murray also didn’t care how fucking wrong he was on Iraq.
I expect his message to Bad Al Campbell would be praising his Iraq Spin and his poodling up to a NeoCon fuckwit like Bush.

          • Cynical B*****d says:

The Tories are in a blind funk – it all seemed so easy, just jack up the “Green Taxes” and maybe invent a new one or two.

Now that the whole AGW scam is unravelling faster than a Brown Budget, “Green Taxes” are no longer the easy, unarguable, solution.

Come May, and the next GE, the whole AGW/MMCC scam will be so discreditted that vox populi will be demanding fuel tax reductions and an end to green chicanery.

          • ShoutsAtTheTVwhenGordo'sOn says:

Quite happy for a reduction in the ‘straight-to-landfill’ paperwork/reports that these muppets produce by the tonne every day.

          • ShoutsAtTheTVwhenGordo'sOn says:

In fact, we are WE paying for the Houses of Parliament to be lit up like a Christmas tree every day of the year?..

If you’re serious about GreenHouse gasses and waste, get your own house in order (and stop spending millions of £s on stupid television advertisements)!

          • I’ll light it up for free.

            Meet me, November 5th

          • Wet fart says:

Did Darling let rip with a wet one at 28 seconds in?

            The cnut is shitting it.

          • Time to tell our children the truth about the global warming tax and control hoax says:

          • Dave says tax Britain to death says:

The Conservative Party has committed itself to INCREASING TAXES on road and air transport under the guise of “green (pixie dust) taxes” — which will inevitably result in a rise in the cost of living and inflation.

Anyone see a difference between Labour and the Tories?

Both try and sell the same lie to you, both want our democracy to be swallowed by the EU and both want to murder and invade foriegn lands that they do not control, both want mass immigration making your vote worthless and both back postal votes making critical elections easy to rigg, both send their top scum to the communist purpose vetting agency.

and you say Gordon is insane?

Time you pulled yourself away from xfactor and took a long hard look in the mirror.

You see, YOU are the problem, YOU keep voting them in and pretty soon YOU will be irrelevant, we are in the last days of democracy.

and we all know where that leads!

          Sarah says:

If you could only see my husband the way I see him, working day and night to help the ordinary people of this country. He is my hero and some day you will regret saying all those horrible things about him.

After all he has never had any authority whatsoever to do his job and he knows what happens when Gordon McThug decides ‘time’s up’. Suddenly all sorts of trivial pursuits are off the agenda, especially a walk in the countryside…

      Up sh1t creek says:

Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil ambushed a New Labour MP over Peter Mandelson’s fairy tale £11Bn of cuts they say the Tories would make in the first year (if only).

Peter Mandelson on what New Labour will do to sort the UK economy, or rather, let’s attach the Tories instead, because New Labour hasn’t a f-ing clue as to what to do to sort out their own mess.

Quite happy for fools to spend and waste their own money however they choose; I’m rather pissed off though when you hold a gun to my head, steal my wallet, and then piss MY MONEY away..

The fking idiot! “Taking money out of the economy”?! WTF does he think taxes do?! I mean, FFS! Regressive Taxation is the brake that drags everything back, slows everything down, causes the economic engine to stall.

Quite happy for you to do some ‘Keynesian spending’ using the money you’d put aside in the good times. But you didn’t put any aside – you were already leveraged up to your eyeballs in the Debt-Fuelled Boom of your own making.

        Fking Idiot!

Enemies Of Free Speech Call For Internet Licensing

Calls to introduce a licensing system to police the Internet on behalf of a powerful UN agency represent the latest salvo in a long-running battle to kill free speech on the web and bring an end to the powerful digital democracy that has devastated the carbon tax agenda of the UN by exposing the Climategate scandal.

That is very true, and no better example than when Brown thought our nation’s gold was only worth peanuts.

          I thought that’s what we already had…..

          • albacore says:

You know, it’s very strange but there were naughty rumours that gold in Fort Knox and the Bank of England consisted largely of gold-plated tungsten.
The really strange part, though, is that nobody’s come on here yelling “conspiracy theory” or “tinfoil hats” or etc., no matter how many times it’s been mooted.

          • Anonymous says:

No tinfoil hats – more aluminium saucepans.

          • Watch the Skies! says:

In a world where the foundations of Capitalism have been rocked by the disastrous repackaging of bad debt (liars’ loans, mortgages to people who can barely stay in work..) there has been a flight to the time-tested ‘store of value’ represented by gold.

Undermine that, and Brown’s swapping of our gold reserves for beans, magic or not, seems rather well-advised.

            Watch the Skies!

          • Just Saying says:

Albacore; fairly confident that this is a time bomb with a long fuse, when the PRC demand recompense Gordo will be long gone, and if Labour in power at the time, it will turn out to be ‘Thatcher the milk snatchers’ fault or before GE?

          • Albacore

Gold is no longer the standard, hence Gordon flogged ours.

Why do you think the state issues you with a birth certificate?

It’s worth money. Think of all the taxes you’ll pay as long as you live.

They’re called “Government Gilts” for a very ironic reason and China has LOADS of them.

Labour LOVE immigration. All that future money to spend right now…….

      • 137
        G Brown says:

That wasn’t my fault and the BBC abck me on that matter. Plus euros have gone up vs the pound which racists hate.

      • 232
        Up sh1t creek says:

Be kind to Gordon, he sold half the nations gold reserves, a tangible asset, for worthless bits of paper. Just ask Argentina, Zimbabwe or the Weimar Republic how much worth paper money has.

You can print lots of worthless paper, but you can’t print gold. Therein lies New Labour’s truth to their economy, print money in an attempt to hide the economic destruction. China laughing all the way to their own banks, having bought the West’s assets because they were stupid in selling gold.

        • 262

Gold? Sell it to pay for Black Lesbian drop in centres and votes
Taxpayers? Loads of them. They ain’t going nowhere.

          “If I was a rich man…diddle”

        • 361
          Stu says:

Brown said we bought euros and they have gone up in value. Err at the expense of the £. He cant even make a cheap political point without being shown up for the complete incompetent bufoon he is.

          • City of Vice says:

Quite so. Not to mention the fact that the ‘rise’ in the the value of the Euro in no way matches the rise in the value of the gold he sold anyway. Brown’s the banks ‘diversified’ out of gold too comment later in the clip was another classic. Yes Gordo, the banks diversified into securitised junk, liar loans, ninja loans and other toxic assets and effectively bankrupted themselves, in response to which Brown blew billions of our money bailing them out, mortgaging us for generations to come.

How did a financially illiterate buffoon like Brown make it to chancellor.

Pathetic weaseling from a twatty little toryboy weed again.

            Where’s your cuts fuckwit ?

          • jgm2 says:

There will be no cuts. Cuts are deferred. The only thing supporting the pound and gilt sales is the likelihood that Cameron will win the election and that he’ll behave like an economic adult.

It is Cameron who is supporting the pound only for it to collapse anyway when Brown heaps the biggest economic clusterfuck in British history into his lap.

Far better for Cameron to suggest he’s going to be equally as fuckwitted as Brown and bring about the sterling collapse and IMF arrival right now – on Brown’s watch. Might as well have the true cause of our economic collapse identified to the 29% of imbeciles who will still vote Labour doncha think?

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

They’ve gone down the plughole at the centre of british politics.

          • Dave's only pretending to be shit (yet again) says:

do you realise how pathetic you sound trying to find any weaseling excuse to justify Dave’s fuckwittery with a ludicrous conspiracy theory ?

Brown and Dave are economic fuckwits
            Deal with it

          • jgm2 says:

It would be funny though wouldn’t it? Dave deliberately saying he’s going to print twice as much money as Brown. The bond markets shitting their pants and pulling the plug today (on Brown’s watch) rather than in June (on Cameron’s).

            It would though. Wouldn’t it.

All that money squandered to try and all that juggling with lies and misinformation to try and stumble over the election finish line and land the biggest heap of shit ever on an incoming PM and Cameron brings the whole thing forward and tips it in the Maximum Imbecile’s lap. It would be funny though.

            Wouldn’t it?

          • Dave's only pretending to be shit (yet again) says:

And the voters would put all the blame on an economic catastrophe on Brown and forget about Dave

Exactly what happened with Bush and Obama
The voters there certainly aren’t blaming Obama for the economy are they ?

            Isn’t it ?

          • jgm2 says:

Although looking at the lack of my monthly NS&I transfer today perhaps HMG is bank*rupt already.

It certainly should be bank*upt by now with the way it’s been pissing all that money it doesn’t have about the place.

      Sir William Waad says:

Batteries form a negligible part of household waste and mostly contain perfectly harmless materials. Only rechargeable batteries generally contain nasty stuff and then only in tiny quantities. There is no way batteries can usefully be recycled, which is why they are not recycled. This is essentially a cultist observance rather than a useful one.

      • 47
        More Anonymous says:

The real health risk is from the new ‘green’ lightbulbs, which contain mercury, albeit not in the liquid metallic form. The correct procedure when one is broken is to open the windows and evacuate all people from the the room immediately for 15 mins. Debris should be collected up by hand and wearing gloves, followed by vacuuming – on no account use a dustpan and brush. The items should be disposed of in compliance with the manner proscribed, and not thrown into the refuse.

First, not many people know this. Second, it is useless advice – the dangerous mercury part is not going to crawl across the floor, up the wall, and out of the window. Third, anything entailing such an emergency procedure should not be anywhere near a domestic residence. Finally, what exactly is the correct manner of disposing the debris? I am quite unable to find out. Official advice to take it back to Currys or wherever (as if!) is fatuous – if it’s that dangerous when broken, it’s hardly going to be welcomed by Currys customer services.

The whole thing is redolent of imbeciles – quite apart from the cost, the unpleasant light, and other adverse health suffered by some people from them. Who can tell me exactly how many people have died from ingesting the tungsten filaments in old fashioned light bulbs, or even how many rats?

        • 55
          Anonymous says:

I do agree with what you say, but if this is a health hazard it should be publicised. As government want to encourage the use of low energy light bulbs it would go against the grain if their safety was compromised, particularly as all the old light bulbs have been removed from the shelves.

A much better headline would be to ban nursery children from singing songs like Ba Ba Black Sheep!

The Heir to Blair deserves to be mocked for being such a fuckwit

            Though lets face facts
The war could not have happened without the Tory Votes to ram it through the commons
So only the most lickspittle apologist would try to pretend they don’t carry some of the blame even if it was Bush and Blairs War and THEY carry the primary blame

Amazing how far some minions will go to spin the obvious into partisan bullshit

          • jgm2 says:

So, for clarity, when the Prime Minister, told us that the Iraqis were 45 minutes away from launching WMD you knew he was lying?

I didn’t. I thought he was referring to some shells they might have lying around a battle field. But I thought there was some bone of truth in what he was saying. And I would suggest, so did the Tories.

Who would have believed a British Labour Prime Minister would engineer a war for no reason than his own vanity and ‘place in history’?

            I didn’t support the war.

Not because I thought Blair was lying but because I thought it bad form to betray a former ally like that. And I’m talking about Gulf War I.

But I can see how Labour trolls would be so desperate to try and pin the consequences of their (Labour) governments lies on the people who believed them rather than the lying liars who deceived them.

          • Heir to Blair says:

For clarity some Labour MP’s and some Conservative MPs knew he was lying and yes I and an huge chunk of the public did too

It wasn’t spun as battlefield munitions it was spun as something that could be launched like a scud and threaten other countries by Campbell and the supine press

“Who would have believed a British Labour Prime Minister would engineer a war for no reason than his own vanity and ‘place in history’?”

Anyone who watched Blairs lips moving and wasn’t fooled by all the ‘things can only get better’ bullshit, in short a huge amount of people
            He was always a weasel

What part of “Blair deserves to go to the Hague for being a Warcriminal” was too subtle for you ?
I have never voted Labour but those too partisan too have an opinion of their own always parrot that feeble horseshit when they are so obviously desperate and in extremis

It was Bush and Blairs War but pretending Dave acted anything other than stupidly and just another poodling cheerleader for Iraq just won’t wash

          • Anonymous says:

Bush cannot end up at The Hague. Regime Change in Iraq was official US policy instigate by Bill Clinton in the late 90′s. WMD was only used as an excuse because Blair told Bush he would never get the British parliament/public to support Regime Change for the sake of it. As Britain actually lost the war in Basra and it took the US Army – and Iraqi Army – to go in and sort out the mess while the British troops sat on their asses at the airport Bush would have been better off without Blair.

          • International Lawyer says:

Anon, you made a statement then provided no legal justification for making that statement.
Anybody who commits war crimes can be tried at the Hague.
You are under the misapprehension that US citizens cannot be tried under international law but of course they can.
Nobody is above international law. If you commit war crimes, as George Bush has done, then you will be tried and if you are found guilty you will be hanged.

          • AC1 says:

          • International Lawyer says:

If I wanted to be churlish I would demand that you stop hiding your ignorance behind silly questions and that you answer my question first.

            Not very intelligent, are you.
A citizen’s arrest would get the ball rolling and then, just as with the Israeli war crimnals who are too afraid to visit this country because they would be arrested, the guilty party would be seen by a magistrate who would then pass the case to a higher court who would then pass the case to the Hague.

Take a look at Stephanie Flanders’ blog on the Beeb today. I don’t know why she doesn’t just write ‘VOTE LABOUR’ and leave it at that. Could have saved herself a lot of typing.

How does this ‘journalist’ get away with trying to draw a parallel between Cameron and Richard Nixon, for example? Why didn’t her editor say something like “aw come on Steph, I know we’re all Labour luvvies around here, but this is just taking the piss!”

This attempted smear was simply because the Tories had the gall to suggest that cutting back and paying off debt might actually be a better idea than continuing to borrow vastly more than the country earns.

Mind you some of the comments on her blog are good for a laugh, such as the one by an imbecile trying to explain how we have the public sector to thank for saving us from the recession. Its worrying to think that such people are allowed out unaccompanied, never mind given the right to vote.

Better still take a look at Steph Flander’s Grandad

Francis Claud Cockburn (Peking, 12 April 1904 – 15 December 1981) was a radical British journalist controversial for communist sympathies. He was the cousin of novelist Evelyn Waugh.

The son of a British diplomat, Cockburn was born in Peking, China on 12 April 1904, and educated at Berkhamsted School, an independent boys’ boarding school in Hertfordshire, England. After obtaining a degree from Keble College, Oxford, he became a journalist with The Times. He worked as a foreign correspondent in Germany and the United States before resigning in 1933 to start his own newsletter, The Week. There is a story that during his spell as a sub-editor on The Times, Cockburn and colleagues had a competition to devise the most accurate yet boring headline. Cockburn claimed the honours with “Small Earthquake in Chile. Not many Dead.” However, this is apocryphal; no copy of The Times featuring this headline has been located.

Under the name Frank Pitcairn, Cockburn contributed to the British Communist newspaper, the Daily Worker. In 1936, Harry Pollitt, general secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain, asked him to cover the Spanish Civil War. He joined the Fifth Regiment to report the war as a soldier. While in Spain, he published Reporter in Spain.

Cockburn was attacked by George Orwell in Homage to Catalonia (1938). Orwell accused Cockburn of being under the control of the Communist Party and was critical of the way Cockburn reported the Barcelona May Days. According to the editor of a volume of his writings on Spain, Cockburn formed a personal relationship with Mikhail Koltsov, “then the foreign editor of Pravda and, in Cockburn’s view, ‘the confidant and mouthpiece and direct agent of Stalin in Spain’.”

The problem (okay – one of the problem’s) with Brown is that he’s spent his whole life being told how fucking clever he is. This means that whenever a situation presents itself he feels he has to come up with a ‘clever’ solution.

Not the fucking obvous solution like the rest of us. Fuck no. A ‘clever’ solution.

That’s why, when presented with an economy that is overspending by 12% of GDP he doesn’t take the boring old tried and tested method of spending less momey. Fuck no. We need an innovative, ‘clever’ solution. Printing money for example. And borrowing 12% of GDP just to make the public payroll.

See, in his fucked-up head that is not the obvious solution therefore it must be a ‘better’ solution. Because he is ‘clever’.

You see this in everything he does. Fucks up with his 10% tax – does he just ‘fess up and rewind the tax back to 10%? Does he fuck. A bizarre combination of reliefs and allowances in a wild attempt to achieve the same result.

Likewise his ‘tax credits’. You could just up the tax free limits and give tax-breaks for kids. But no. He’s got to take the money off you in order to give your money back.

Everything he does is an attempt to prove how ‘clever’ he is. So if Cameron says he’s going to increase the IHT threshold then Brown has to attempt to do the same thing. But he can’t just increase the threshold. Fuck no. He has to create some scheme whereby the total IHT is transferred between married couples. Or something.

Stop trying to be so fucking clever Brown. You’re just fucking everything up.

There seemed to be a view that a vocational education leading to a skill and craft should be looked down upon for some reason and both the government and schools encouraged that view in 1990′s. No shame in being a fully qualified plumber, electrician, craftsman etc who are probably more useful than 200 or 300 Media Graduates surely ? Fly on the Wall has a strategy meeting in the spiders web at Millbank says:

I’m not so sure on that one. In fact it seems to me to be a very “clever argument” peddled by Mandelson if you stop to actually dissect the logic of it.

I think that most Labour politicians, and certainly Mandelson, realise that Brown is unlikely to lead Labour to victory at the forthcoming election and that Cameron will “win” in the sense that he leads the largest party in the Commons. Mandelson’s strategy is designed to put questions in the minds of those who can be termed “floating voters” and make sufficient of them either vote Labour or LibDem or UKIP and thus probably delivering a “Hung Parliament” in the process. Cameron would have to seek accomodation with the LibDems or the Ulster Unionists to govern. He will need to make some tough spending cuts which will be unpopular. In the way of these things Cameron’s majority would be on a knife-edge.He could fall out with his coalition partners;his majority could be reduced by death/illness of his MPs or even defections.

He would therefore have to go to the country within say 12 months. His popularity will have decreased as inevitably elected governments find out after the honeymoon period. Meanwhile he will be taking the tough unpopular decisions with Labour sniping and causing trouble from Opposition. When the election is called Cameron could lose it and re-admit Labour who may even by lead by someone NOT Brown or shudder bythe noble ex-Lord himself who still harbours ambition in that regard even though he would have to get legislation through to renounce his title(i couldn’t see that as a problem)and then get elected(not insupperable barriers to the self-styled “Prince of Darkness”)

So don’t write off what Mandelson does or says because there is always and ulterior motive and the man is more devious and dangerous than any politician on the scene to-day

Unfortunately there are a rump of voters (20 – 25%) who would vote Labour if Labour was rounding them up in the street and transporting them in cattle trucks for a communal shower out in the country someplace.

If you even attempt to spell out the truth (we’re fucked – fucked by this evil Labour regime of malevolence and incompetence) then they will run off and hide in their bedrooms and only come out to vote when Labour tells them that it will be all right and they can sleep with the lights on.

Laughable coming from Labour, but then that’s par for the course with Mandelson. Nothing he says makes any sense, and the more he is wheeled out the more ludicrous this government looks. This government was responsible for putting the UK in this mess in the first place, and to suggest that it would be best placed to guide the country through its troubles is ridiculous. The government is in meltdown, it is out of ideas, the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing, and it stumbles on from day to day with the sole objective being to pour scorn on everyone else. In that sense, Peter Mandelson has become the Minister for Rubbishing the Tories.

Alas, nothing good comes out of Labour these days, only spite and vitriol. Like an embittered old queen who has seen better days, the government constantly bitches about those whom it sees as rivals, those who are younger, and more attractive. The energy of New Labour’s early days has long since departed, and all Labour has to offer now is nasty negativity.

When Brown and Mandelson are gone, the party might have a chance to rediscover its raison d’etre, and recover its dignity. Until then, the party is unelectable.

    pointless observations says:

Things are deteriorating rapidly. We are currently in limbo; still governed by the post war political consensus based upon “services” and the illusion that everyone’s needs can be met – or should be met.

This method of organizing the state and society was fine when it first emerged. The 1950s had near full employment and rapidly improving quality of life. Unfortunately, since the 1970s, there has been a slow and steady decline. The “financial crisis” of 2008 was merely the first in a series of heart attacks to hit the appallingly managed and poorly organized western world, with its focus on perverse intensives and an attempt to “tame” the market through government regulation and so – called “civil society” groups.

In all aspects of western life, we are provided with the mirage that we are free and that we are in control of our lives. We all know this to be false, but slowly and surely, this is being exposed in the most explicit terms. Thus, we read that the police will start to use unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor “antisocial driving”, that we will not be able to fly without passing through a radioactive scanner, that our houses must contain lightbulbs that contain mercury, that our personal telephone conversations and emails will be eavesdropped upon.

As a result of the slow economic decline we have witnessed, masked by the credit and asset boom we have seen idiotic politicians and regulators rise to the top, believing that they can and that they do add value to society and the economy. This, is also being exposed as utterly false. The west attack the economic and foreign policy of other states, such as Russia and Gazprom or China and CNOOC for utilizing private companies for national aims, yet conveniently forget companies such as EDF or Eon, which are implementing the “green” agenda of social control and surveillance. The laughable comments from Hillary regarding China’s internet freedoms are hypocritical in the extreme when looked at with reference to the west’s programme of “Total Information Awareness”, and the pervasive existence of “red – lists”.

The deeper you look, the more you realize you are not free. This is partly our fault for allowing our democracy to be so thoroughly subverted. The media are to blame, the politicians are to blame and so is the increasing tendency to outsource decisions to “ethical” organizations like the UN or other anti – democratic, anti – nation state NGOs.

The west is bankrupt and the increasing polarization of society and palpable anger will manifest itself into something rather ugly as public sector wages are not paid, savings are destroyed and the general functioning of the post – war consensus begins to fail. Expect more shocks to the system, but above all beware the rise of the demagogues: whose seductive narratives and solutions will bring the chaos that currently seems inevitable. What a sad state of affairs – what a waste.

    • 158
      The Third Man says:

The ‘hung parliament’ nonsense is being spun to the media by 10 drowning street (edballs and charliewhelan et al) It’s their only hope of hanging onto some power and they believe that by repeating the mantra often enough through the media they can make it happen.

Agreed – and now Brown has f*ucked the students with cuts,he will be so beaten,he will be more beaten than a beaten up old drunk in a beaten up part of Glasgow.

No hung Parliament,a majority of at least 60 for Tories.

What it means is that labour needs a high poll turnout in what have been previously classed as ‘labour strongholds’ in order to achieve a ‘hung parliament’.

mandy and the labour haeirarchy know that is very unlikely – but they are trying very hard at the moment to talk-up a ‘ hung parliament’ in order to get out as much support as possible.

They are idiots!! – if they had had the courage and foresight they would have jettisoned gordon and put in a new leader – then they might have had a chance with this ‘hung parliament’ strategy!!!!

Frankly , I think now, they have a better chance of saving the most number of seats (which will be pitiful) with edballs ‘core vote’ strategy!!

The ones that aren’t going to vote probably won’t be persuaded to; the campaign is already getting negative, and that’s exactly what puts a lot of people off voting at all.

          • Turnip Taliban says:

There’s a websie called tinyurl you might want to visit.

Second – exactly as we’d suspected. Blair wanted a short, sharp Iraq war for no other reason than to cement his popularity a la Margaret Thatcher and the Falkands. And Brown just went along with the war because to stand up to it on principle – this is a shit, pointless war and I want no part of it – would screw up his political ambition. He’d be out in the wilderness like Robin Cook. Fuck ‘doing the right thing’ unless it’s ‘doing the right thing’ for Gordon.

That’s the mistake we’ve been making. Yet again we assume that ‘doing the right thing’ relates to ‘doing the right thing’ for the broader UK when it really means ‘doing the right thing’ for my personal political ambitions.

      C*NTS.
